Aug 20, 2010I am developing an app in which I need to listen events whenever they are created or modified in android calendar. Is it possible to listen calendar entry when the user enters events ?

Android :: Calender Entries Disappear After Entry / Fix This
Nov 11, 2010The calendar widget is frustrating me. I enter details about an upcoming meeting, hit save and the event appears. About 20 seconds later it disappears without me doing anything. I figured I would try to delete the app and reinstall it but when I go to settings/app/manage app and try to delete it, the "delete" function is grayed out. Any suggestions?

Feb 2, 2010I have the HTC calender widget that's sync'd with my Google calender. I have (2) events coming up within the next two days but it shows the second or later one vs the next one. For example, today is "eat lunch at school with my daughter". On Thursday, it's "eat lunch at school with my son". The widget isn't showing today's event, which IMO, it should.Also, for Thursday's event (today is Tuesday), it says:
"Tomorrow, 12-12:30, lunch."
Tomorrow is Wednesday, not Thursday.Anyone else seen issues like this ? If so, were you able to solve them?My phone is an HTC Eris, on VZW, running Android 1.5.

I didn't realize that the "alarm", is a barely audible "ting" sound, only discernible in a silent environment. Initially when I added the Calender as a Widget to my home screen, there is a little open window showing my next appointment(s) for the day or next day. However, I accidentally trashed it and when I tried to add it back to my home screen again, I am unable to get the same and the Calender merely appears as a little icon. Is there any particular setting that I may have missed out?

Android :: Calender Doesn't Work On Any Droid That I Try / Fix For This?
Jun 23, 2010I'm sure there is a thread on this, but I didn't see one, sorry if there is. The issue I'm having is all the dates carrying over each year. For example, if I put someones bday on july 14th and look at that same day the next year, it shows their bday on the 13th. I tried this on my Aria and on my friends Incredible and Evo. So what gives, is there a fix for this. I've tried downloading several calender apps, but they always just have a different layout and different functions, but in the end they just end up doing the exact same thing.

Jun 14, 2010I have got quite a lot of calenders on Google, some are shared with other people some are shared with my from other people and they all sync to my phone except for one of the most important ones which is on my Calender on the pc and the Google site but not on my phone.
I had the owner unshare it with me and then re share it but this has not worked. does anybody know how i can sort this? it is really important that i have that i can see it on my phone.
Android :: Unknown Contact Found On My Calender / Fix It?
Sep 9, 2010I'm new to forums, here is my question: I recently got an HTC Desire. I was looking through my calender and saw a birthday of some guy that was synced to my calender through facebook. I couldn't recognise the name so I looked up my facebook friend list and couldn't find this guy listed. I also searched his name on facebook and google and still no luck.
I have established that it is coming from facebook since when I disable the facebook calender, the contact goes away but I am now getting a bit worried since I have some unknown person who is untracable linked to me in some way.
Does anyone have any idea what is happening? and if so how to fix it? and if not able to fix it, how concerned should I be?

Dec 17, 2009My Google Calender is great being a calender but I have added Tasks and they do not show up on my pc desktop and phone on the Calender itself except on their actual Web. I see I can access them seperately by using an App called gtask but wondered if there is a way I can set it up so I can see my events and tasks all together on one calander. Nov 14, 2010In my layout xml file I have set the android:onClick attribute for a Button element to a function in my activity. So when I click the button the function is called with a View as its argument. Are there any information in that View argument that has the id of the button being clicked? I'm trying to figure out if I have to have one onClick function for every element or if I can use one function and switch depending on the id of the element being clicked.
