The Droid's calender is just fine for tracking appointments and jogger notes. I didn't realize that the "alarm", is a barely audible "ting" sound, only discernible in a silent environment. Is there an app that will add a LOUD alarm (choice of my current ring-tones), so I can actually be notified of pre-set calender activity?
View 21 Replies View RelatedI'm sure there is a thread on this, but I didn't see one, sorry if there is. The issue I'm having is all the dates carrying over each year. For example, if I put someones bday on july 14th and look at that same day the next year, it shows their bday on the 13th. I tried this on my Aria and on my friends Incredible and Evo. So what gives, is there a fix for this. I've tried downloading several calender apps, but they always just have a different layout and different functions, but in the end they just end up doing the exact same thing.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI currently have app. 30 events on my calender. When I switch to agenda it only shows anywhere from 3 to 5 events. Am I missing something. I liked on my BB Curve that all the events were always on the agenda. It seems like there isn't an option to scroll down to see all events on the agenda.
View 3 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know if the stock calendar widget can display more than 1 agenda item? Seems that displaying only 1 item on a 2*2 widjet is a waste of space.I have droid agenda and smooth calender widgets installed.
Smooth calendar suites my needs better, but does not fit with other widgets on my home screen as well as the stock widget.Droid agenda is awesome, just cluttered.I would like for the stock widget to work better for me.
My calender sync seems to have stopped. My company relies on Google Apps for our business communications, and normally everything works as expected. This morning, changes to my calender are no longer syncing from the cloud to my Droid. Interestingly enough, if I enter a new event on the Droid, it syncs to the cloud.

All I've done in the last hour is plug the charger in. Any thoughts or ideas. Worse case I re enter the events, there were only 6 calender events
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Google calender has synced with no problems. The monthly view shows each day white and the days with appointments show what looks like a green slider. However one day, this past Monday is gray. I have looked at my main Google calender and there is nothing different for this day then other days through the month. I am able to click on the gray day on both the main calender and on the Droid and it will open up. Does anyone else have something like this?

View 1 Replies View RelatedGot the new Moto Droid which is spectacular. The Gmail sync with Outlook is brilliant. My old HTC Windows Mobile that held 87 appointments for the next year was synced with Windows Outlook which was then sent to my Gmail calender. The Droid automatically listed all appointments seamlessly. When I listed my HTC on eBay, I had to clear all contacts and appointments. This is very labor intensive to do on the phone one by one. I synced the HTC with Outlook and erased all info on the old HTC. I did not think much of it when a window popped up indicating that my Gmail calender would erase these items too and IIRC I clicked OK.A funny thing happened the next day when I plugged the Droid into the computer. The auto sync with the Gmail calender updated my Droid calender with the newly erased Gmail calender. It erased every appointment on the Droid as the calender auto transferred. After I changed my undershorts, I was able to restore the Droid by going to Outlook "deleted items", move them back to the calender folder in Outlook, sync with Gmail, and finally sync with the Droid again.

View 6 Replies View RelatedAlright, so I'm pretty terrible with birthdays and other important dates so I started adding some of them to the calender. Suddenly I thought to myself, "Hey is there a way I can do birthdays, anniversaries etc from my people contacts and facebook and link them in one shot to my calender." Is this possible? Is it possible to have it send daily reminders as the date approaches? I see the option to send a reminder a day to a week in advance but does it send out reminder every day from the reminder point to the day of the event?

Is it possible to detect all touch events in an Activity and capture it and then in return pass that pass event to another View. For example:
Button 1 and Button 2. When Button 1 is pressed I want to capture that touch/click event and automatically pass that touch event to Button 2, basically with one touch/press you get the click generated and that same click is passed on to the second button automatically.
I am trying to automate some tasks using adb commands in java, but in order to confirm tasks are completed, I need some reply from the device to the PC controlling it. I thought about using the logcat, but since android is continuously writing on the log, there might be problems accessing it, and checking the correct message. Does anyone know about a (easy) way of messaging between android device and PC?

I believe Android 2.0 has multi-touch functionality, and heard that Android 1.6 might or might not support it depending of the device.
What's the best way to detect pinch events, while degrading gracefully for devices that don't support it? I'm targeting Android 1.5 upwards.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have the HTC calender widget that's sync'd with my Google calender. I have (2) events coming up within the next two days but it shows the second or later one vs the next one. For example, today is "eat lunch at school with my daughter". On Thursday, it's "eat lunch at school with my son". The widget isn't showing today's event, which IMO, it should. Also, for Thursday's event (today is Tuesday), it says:
"Tomorrow, 12-12:30, lunch."
Tomorrow is Wednesday, not Thursday.Anyone else seen issues like this ? If so, were you able to solve them?My phone is an HTC Eris, on VZW, running Android 1.5.
I have an Android activity with an ImageButton. I would like to execute some logic when the button is clicked and show a different image for the pressed state, but also receive the touch event on the activity.
By default only the button receives the touch event. If I set the clickable attribute of the button to false then only the activity receives the touch event.
What's the best way to implement the touch event in the activity and the click in the button?
I was just wondering, how to fetch recurring events from native android calendar
