Notice this on the stock browser when it first launches? This takes up at least 5 seconds or more when you're just trying to open up the browser to go to a site. Seems unnecessary. Would be better if it just pulled up the browser. Is there a setting to change this? I like the stock browser, otherwise and I'm not interested in Dolphin. I hear it has advertisements on it?

Is there anyway to make the browser not do this? It really slows down the browsing experience compared to other Android phones. I have tried to change my homepage to something different and that did not work. Any ideas?

Now that there have been some leaked 2.1 Sense ROM's out there, can anyone clear up whether or not the coming 2.1 update will finally be without this annoying message? Or does it still exist in the 2.1 Sense?

View 13 Replies View RelatedI just installed a new sms app and love it, the problem is that I can't get the proprietary message application on the Hero to stop retrieving all messages. It doesn't help to have cool features like blacklist, if you can't use them because the original app just logs the threads anyway. How do you turn off or uninstall the original message program, I would prefer to just get rid of it and free up the space. Any ideas???

Using the default web browser, there is an annoying red minus/green plus sign that pops up any time the page is not scrolling. The symbols allow me to adjust the font size. I just want this to go away, and I will use pinch gestures if I need to zoom in or adjust. Under Settings>Accessibility, I have text scaling at 100%, force zoom unchecked, text encoding on auto detect, full screen mode unchecked, text booster unchecked.

When I link directly to the file on the iPhone and the user taps the link, the video player is loaded and the video starts playing. But I recently rooted and went with xtrSense. At first it all seemed smoother, but after a few days, it's back to crashing on launch again. Once I re-launch, it seems to work fine, but this is still a hassle.
Thought rooting would b my magic "fix-all".
