Android :: Create Sound Effects Manipulation On Audio Track?
Dec 28, 2009I am creating an android app that basically records an applies an "Effect" on the audio track then plays it back. I got my app to record an play back but I am stuck an not sure where do go from here. I have been Googling for days now trying to find a open source audio library or some way to change the audio after I record it. I currently have it setup to play back using SoundPool an I't lets me speed up an slow down the audio. I would like to do things like change pitch an add echo etc. I will appreciate any responses because I am totally stumped right now.

Have also used user permission in manifest.
To be more clear i have placed this in my splash screen but the issue is like the splash screen gets started after a particular time the screen shows force close after a bright light.

Mar 2, 2010In my android app , I have a menu for backlight options ,and I want that when the user selects one like " during this operation " to have the backlight on during that operation. Could I be be shown a way of accomplishing this . My problem is the that I don't know how to manipulate the backlight and how to properly arrange this in the code.

Dec 9, 2009I think I found a bug in 2.0.1. If you power on your Droid in the dark, the keypad backlight does not work. You have to go to Setting -> Display and manually unclick the "Auto" and reclick it back.Anyway to get it to work is to power the droid is a lighted room and everything will work fine. I think somehow the light sensor got screw up when it is dark to start with.

Because data roaming is a system preference that can only be read, not written (it belongs to Settings.Secure) , I'm thinking to get the Access Point Names of the phone and change/invalidate them so a data service won't be available when I detect the phone is roaming. I'm thinking it's a good idea and I could obtain the desired behavior but in order to be able to do this I need to know a couple of things first:
1.How to modify an APN?
2.What field of the APN should be geven a empty value like "", in order to make it unuseful: name ?, proxy? , server ?, APN?
3.Which APN should be modified , or all of them should be treated the same way?

Nov 22, 2009Just a neat trick, but not sure how useful it really is.If you want to lock the screen without turning the phone backlight off, you can do so by placing a finger on any of the four "touch-sensitive" buttons and pressing the power key.The screen will stay on, but the device will lock.It's up to you to find a practical purpose for doing so.I just though I'd share the feature (bug?) with you all.

Jan 12, 2010Does anyone elses keys (keyboard, home button, menu, etc) not light up sometimes? For me the problem would fix itself after opening and closing the hard keyboard a couple of times. But after I downloaded SweeterHome preview 2 they won't light up at all. Is there a timeout option im missing or something? Or is this a common problem with no fix?

Nov 3, 2010A backlight used to turn on for the bottom hard press keys on my dx but ever since I downloaded and installed the live wallpaper panoplied, they don't turn on anymore. I don't know how or even why a live wallpaper would turn off backlight settings for the keys but its becoming a major inconvenience. I checked the settings but couldn't find where to tweak backlight settings. I also rebooted the phone and did a soft reset but that didn't work. Can anyone out there help a brother out?

Mar 14, 2009Although I haven't received confirmation from anyone at Google, I can confidently state that when the power to the display goes off, one can no longer obtain data from the accelerometers. I can easily think of a number of examples of where one would like to continue collecting accelerometer data even when the display is of. Supposing that I wanted to "fix" this, can anyone suggest where should I start looking? Would this be in the SDK, the kernel, or in some proprietary firmware that I can't touch?

Then keeps cycling on and off indefinitely. This happens whether or not it's charging.I'm not rooted, and the only things I installed today were Pulse news reader and Nose Candy. I've since uninstalled both and the problem persists. Any help? Obviously this can't stay, or else my battery will die within a couple hours, even when not in use.

Jun 11, 2010I'm running into an issue, that I'm sure many of you have ran into at some point and found a way around. When I have my Phone Plugged into the Charger (For example when in my car) after a set amount of time (I think it's around 30 seconds) my screen will Dim to only about 25% brightness(But never shut off completely). As you can imagine, this is horribly inconvenient when I'm running Google maps or sprint navigation. How can I make it, so that when I'm charging the phone, the screen just always stays on and does not dim at all? And then when I'm on battery the screen resumes the normal behavior of shutting off after 30 seconds. I've tried setting the "Stay Awake" option under "Applications > Development" to on, I've also tried setting the "Automatic Brightness" option under "Sound & Display > Brightness" to off. Neither of these worked.
