I've noticed that the stock music app's random feature has no regard for repeating songs. Sometimes I'll hear the same song 2-3 times in one hour! Are there any music apps that will randomize a playlist without playing any songs more than once? I'm not sure if it has to do with today's update but I have a pretty good idea it is. Whenever I got to ATK it shows many more apps 'open' than I specifically opened.
Say I opened Music and internet. Voice dialer, maps, and gesture search will have opened as well.
I just got a new 8gb memory card and want to dump a bunch of music to my Hero, but the music player seems lacking in many respects (functionally) despite looking nice (aesthetically). Has anyone tried other players that both work well and look stylish? sidenote - I was unable to format my memory card with it plugged into my network printer due to not having an adapter, but when the card is mounted and the hero is connected through usb it is reported as FAT32 in the open window. Do I need to worry about formatting? I wasn't sure if there would be any performance gain by doing so. Its a Transcend 8gb class 6.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI noticed this same issue with my HTC Hero, and then it seemed to go away. Now I've noticed it again.
The issue is this: I have around 2700 songs on my SD card, all in a folder called Music, and they are arranged, quite logically, by artist and album under that. Unfortunately, when I put the music application on random, it seems to get stuck on 4 or 5 artists (and sometimes within those artists, one particular album) and play those almost exclusively, with only an occasional diversion to some other artist. At one point it was so bad that a. it played one particular song 6 times in a 4 hour period, and b. I got so tired of one of my artists, I deleted it entirely!
So, is this a bug with the built in music player? Is it because of the amount of music I have? Is it because of where my music is stored? Has anyone else had this problem? (Or does Android OS just have an affinity for The Byrds? )
Are there any other music apps I can try? I tried Simply Music, and it did work much better on the randomization, but it hung for a few seconds several times (for no discernable reason) and it is very slow to load.
I would like to know whats some free ringer apps? browser apps? fb apps? music apps? and theme apps?

I have a large collection on my 16g card and mixzing still likes to stick to one or two albums ... the only things i need are great random (i like to shuffle all my songs and let it play) and a album cover and forward, backward, pause buttons like mixzings ..

View 8 Replies View RelatedI like using Google play music but the application has been changing my album art around and i cant figure out how to change it back.I saved a picture to my external SD card and Google music decided to tag all the Unknown Artists with the picture, but it only seems to show up in Google Music.
I have multiple media players installed and only some of them recognize the art and display it.I have tried editing the tags but its like the images are not there like since the image was in the forlder it pretty much overwrote things.I have cleared the cache and data for google music rebooted my device with no luck.What are my options at this point to get this picture out the tags and off my phone.

After that, a month later, it began again. Is it a virus? I don't know, because I install "Avast!" - no warninds, then "Lookout" - it also says no malware is found. The programs it installs look fine, they are not malware at all.What should I do now? Should I report to any antivirus company?

Some of the apps appear to be from Sony which would make sense if I had a Sony device, but I don't. It's a HTC One (M7)
I got desire. Awesome phone. My question is regarding headset you get with the phone. Like every other headset I got with phone it appears to have music control buttons but they won't work with music application that's built in to the phone. What I mean exactly is non of the button on headset does anything like pause/play, forward or backward however it does work for hanning up calls u make. Is it suppose to not work with music or something wrong with mine?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI got 2.1 update OTA yesterday. it runs better, and a little smoother/faster on most everything. the problem I am experiencing is that I can just power on the phone but within 5 minutes, I have 10-15 apps showing up in ATK. I kill the apps, and within 5 minutes I have 10-15 apps again. I am not opening the apps, but they just appear. I know this is draining my life, and may be the cause for a lot of other peoples battery issues since 2.1. Can anyone help?
I have unplugged the battery for about 7 hours(overnight), but no change. Iam in the process of running the battery down completely to shutoff then recharging. This is quite annoying.
Just recently I've noticed that random apps are running in the background. What happens is I'll open ATK and there'll be like 10 apps running(which I never even opened), so I'll go ahead and kill the selected apps. Within a minute there will be another 5-10 running without me even doing anything! What's the deal, this has got to be hurting my phones performance.

View 44 Replies View RelatedSometimes when I launch the "Messaging" application, it randomly opens a random app that I have been currently using.
Sometimes it works and just shows all of my messages. This is quite annoying and this has happened to me even after several factory resets.
Am I the only one with this issue? I have searched the forum but couldn't find a related thread.
I have this Motorola Flipside and I installed GOLauncher on it. With it I am using the GO Task Manager, and some other widgets, etc. as well. I have noticed that I will close out stuff I am not using any more, using the GO TM widget, and I will turn off the display/put phone to sleep. Then I'll get a text or something and tend to that, hit the home screen and will see the TM and there are like 10 apps open. I'll close them out again and put the phone back to sleep. A few mins later an e-mail or text comes in and I'll tend to it, home screen, again, a bunch of random apps show up in the TM.
Apps like Facebook Camera, ESPN Score Center, GPS, News, Settings, a widget that I don't even use and others randomly populate in the TM. I haven't even opened them or used them, but they are there. The things that were used are in there, and the items I have locked are there, but that's expected. I just don't understand why things are showing up there that haven't been opened. And randomly? Sometimes I will even close them out, hit refresh on the widget and it will just be what is supposed to be there, hit refresh again, bam - more random things show up. Close those, hit refresh a few times, those/others show up again.
What do I need to change? Or is this just something to do with the phone/launcher, perhaps?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've had my Incredible since 4/28, and everything has been working smoothly up until about last Thursday night when it just restarted out of the blue while I was listening to music. Then right after it booted up, it restarted again, then again about seven more times. I got fed up and took out the SD card and it seemed to stop after that, so I haven't put the SD card back in since then.
Just now, Wednesday, about a week later, I was browsing around on the internet and all of a sudden, it restarted, and then again, and again, and again. I've read that it is because of poor signal strength or something like that so I had just enough time to put it in airplane mode before it restarted again.
Side note, that theory about it being caused by poor signal seems to make sense because the first time it happened to me I was out of town in a city that gets very bad coverage with Verizon, and now today when it started happening again was at my house where for some reason I get very bad service with the incredible, my old phone worked perfectly fine in my house but the incredible gets terrible service, and so does my brother's Droid. In fact, about two weeks ago I got my first dropped call on Verizon in about three years, and it was in my house.
So anyways, I decided to put it in airplane mode, and just after I put it in airplane mode it restarted again. Then when it booted back up my Helix Launcher 2 home screen went back to the standard Helix Launcher 2 icons, I go into my messages and everything is gone, my contacts are all gone, everything is gone. I go to the app menu and all my apps are still there, but when I start up an app, all the custom settings are default now. I went into the settings and my accounts are all still there. I click on internet and I get a terms of service agreement, it's as if I am booting it up for the first time, but for some reason my apps and accounts are all still there.
I turn airplane mode off thinking it might have something to do with it not being connected to my google account, and I restart it again and everything is still gone. I don't know what to do, has this happened to anyone before? I feel like there should be a way for me to get this stuff back since my apps are still there and my accounts are still synced, but random things are missing like my contacts and messages etc. This is really starting to get annoying, I have insurance and everything, but I really don't want to exchange it for another one because I've read that other people who have had there phones replaced have still had the same rebooting problem, even after going through multiple replacements.
Anyone know any good apps from Market that are good for basic music editing and play functions for X10? I already use spotify for playlists but would like to do a few other things that are not built in.
