I just got a Samsung Skyrocket on AT&T. It's running 2.3.5. I love the phone but have one question:
When sending an email, NOT Gmail, and I select the recipient from my contacts, it automatically picks up the default email address that was selected for that contact within the contact manager. Several of my contacts have more than one email address and I need to be able to choose which address to send to. The thing is, I see no option to do so when selecting the contact in the email message. The only way around this that I can see is to have separate contact entries for each email address. That would mean I could have four or more contact entries for each person. Totally not acceptable.
So, am I missing something here? Is there a way to select which email address you want to send to when creating a message? Or do I have to go in and change the default email address within the contact before I compose my emails?
Can I send an email without invoking any activity (with Send/SendTo action)? Just compose a mail and send to recipient from my application.

Is there an intent that is fired when a user unlocks their screen? I want my app to adjust the brightness when the screen turns on, but the problem im running into is that the screen on intent is fired on the lock screen and it does not adjust the display on that screen.

If the user has the Twitter android app installed, is there a different intent I can use which gives the user the option to view that user's twitter feed in the Twitter app, instead of forcing them directly to a browser? I'm not sure if the author's of the Twitter app have exposed any such intent.
As in android, after inactvity of screen off timeout, android screen goes off. So here android itself uses some activity observer, to know whether user is currently active or not. I need not every keystroke or touch event with details, just knowing that user is active and getting a broadcastreceiver after some timeout value. Does anybody know something related to activity observing ? Anyways, my DX has been working flawlessly since I got it back on 10/6. Sunday, 10/31, my DX quit syncing just my corporate Exchange 2003 emails, then yesterday it started not sending emails as well and now, this morning, it quit syncing my personal email. Corporate email will sync manually, just not push. I have rebooted several times, pulled the battery several times, and also deleted both my Exchange account and my personal account and re-added both and the problem still persists. I don't have any task killer apps installed and haven't recently added any apps since the issues started. Anyone have an idea what may be causing the lack of push (in and out) on both of my accounts?

I have seen a good number of group postings which support this being a problem. I can only assume the OP for the linked to question made some other changes, possibly to the manifest which allowed his code to work.
The behaviour I am seeing is the Email intent handling the attachment of the jpeg from the sdcard but dealing with it as a 0 length file which is discarded when sent. I have tried setType as jpeg/image and image/jpeg as I have seen it expressed both ways....................
