First off I have to say the quality from just the camera itself is excellent for a webcam IMO.
The weird thing is that it seems to record a mirror image meaning if something is on the right in real life it's actually on the left in the video. The article explains it. You think it's something that can corrected through an update?

Oct 25, 2009I am using an HTC Magic (Firmware version 1.5) and I am having problems syncing the contacts with Microsoft Outlook (on Windows XP). After I initiated a sync, the phone will reboot itself (after a couple of minutes, during the stage "Preparing data from your phone") and return the error "2 General" "No connection to the phone". I have done "Factory data reset" a few times. Every time I have done the factory reset, it will work for a while and then the problem will come back again.

Aug 17, 2012good solution for mirroring my android screen on my big screen tv? I've tried using MirrorOP and cloning my screen to a PC laptop and then plugging that in via HDMI to my big screen TV. Two problems there; one, it lags and two, it won't rotate to landscape mode.
I'm trying to play Final Fantasy III using my Kindle Fire for control and my big screen TV for display. There are DNLA solution but they won't work for games, only media.
Airplay on my appleTV with my wifes iphone 4s works exactly the way that I'm trying to duplicate with my Android.

May 28, 2010My droid does not have a front mounted camera. How about two small rectangle mirrors mounted at 90 degrees with one edge of mirror touching just below the phone camera lens... and with some simple holder, it could turn phone into a front facing non reversed camera (2 mirrors -- like a periscope.)
Has anyone constructed this? Seems like it could be a simple product accessory that could world for multiple phones.

HTC Eris :: Attempted To Root - No Success
Aug 29, 2010I followed that Universal Root guide and have gotten stuck at the recovery console. Up + Power starts the phone's normal OS. When I try to boot from Down + Power and then push Vol + I can't get into the Amon recovery. Am I missing something here? It checks for something, then I have FASTBOOT, RECOVERY, CLEAR STORAGE, and SIMLOCK.

Apr 8, 2010I just updated from R5 to R7 and I'm still having issues with the GPS. Specifically I'm using Google Maps/Navigate and they can't seem to find my location. The first day I flashed R5, it took a few minutes, but Navigate eventually locked on and started working. I just let it run for 45 minutes and it couldn't locate. Has anyone else has any trouble or success with GPS in the 1.6 ROMs?

Oct 15, 2010This has been driving me nuts since I got the phone. It would almost connect to my machine then just bog down and fail. Someone mentioned using a better USB cable and I tried it out of desperation. It WORKS! Apparently the USB cable that ships with the Epic 4G is kinda crappy. I plugged in the brand new cable and it just plain worked.

Bonus Question: Can I use a loading animation in a image view while the real image is loaded? Right now it's just a default image.
HTC EVO 4G :: Mirror - Clone SD Card
Jul 17, 2010Just rooted my Evo w flipz Fresh 1.0.1. All is wonderful. I have an 8GB micro SD card at the moment, and this ROM comes configured to install apps to the card (vs. internal memory) using apps2sd. The card has been partitioned to have a 32MB swap, a 768MB ext2, and around 6GB for FAT32. So the card is now _very important_, as apps and prolly extensions from the OS are now on it. I'd like to backup to an _exact_ copy of the card. Is there a way using command shell or some other utility to clone/mirror? I would actually like to upgrade to a 16MB card, and keep everything just as it is on my 8MB card (i.e. copy same configuration and end up w 14GB of storage).

May 31, 2010Installed my clarivue last night. It was really easy to install. This really helps with visibility outside, the screen isn't reflective like a mirror anymore. The touch screen doesn't feel as good as naked, but it repels fingerprints so I think it's worth the trade off. Excuse the dust.

Jan 25, 2010I see that there are quite a few posts asking about whether there's an application that will sync your Outlook Notes to your handhelpd (Droid), but it doesn't appear to be any recent posts on it.
Does anyone know if any apps out there will do this? I've read how to export the Notes as a csv file, and impor them, but the syncing is what I'm really after.
