Is there any app that lets me mirror my screen on my Android wirelessly to my PC/TV etc?
View 4 Replies View RelatedSo there is an app in the market that allows me to stream data 2 my airplay receiver. It works decent but nowhere near the way Apple has incorporated it. SCH-I535
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently found airplay (and hairplay) for my mums mac air and are running hairplay on a raspberry PI for her. I do really miss this feature on my android, I want to get home from work and immediately be able to stream my Spotify music to my miniMAC HTPC connected to all speakers at home.
How can I stream my music from my handset to my home speakers through the wifi network? I got a rooted ZTE Blade now with CM7.Im waiting for my Nexus 4 and will flash CyanogenMod on it really soon so Root access is possible if it involves that.
I have just moved across from an iPad to the nexus 7. Firstly I love the nexus 7, but there is one thing I just can't get it to do, that is to stream an embedded video to a dlna server or xbmc or boxes box or apple TV. Now I know there are a lot of apps out there to stream like airplay on the iPad, and I have bubbleupnp working really well at streaming from either videos on my nexus or even from my NAS through the nexus to the TV. But I watch a lot of series online and sometimes want to watch them on the TV rather than on the 7 inch screen. Now my iPad showed the airplay icon and boom onto thetv via xbmc, but if I try the same on my android, I can't! Any apps that would do this? The closest I have come is twonky beam but even that can't see the embedded video as the iPad could?
View 1 Replies View Relatedgood solution for mirroring my android screen on my big screen tv? I've tried using MirrorOP and cloning my screen to a PC laptop and then plugging that in via HDMI to my big screen TV. Two problems there; one, it lags and two, it won't rotate to landscape mode.
I'm trying to play Final Fantasy III using my Kindle Fire for control and my big screen TV for display. There are DNLA solution but they won't work for games, only media.
Airplay on my appleTV with my wifes iphone 4s works exactly the way that I'm trying to duplicate with my Android.
have written code in my application to programmatically enable/ disable the airplane mode. This part of the application is working as intended. However, I also wish to disable only specific radios when the airplane mode is switched on. I found that there is the following string constant in android.provider.Settings.system: public static final String AIRPLANE_MODE_RADIOS A comma separated list of radios that need to be disabled when airplane mode is on. This overrides WIFI_ON and BLUETOOTH_ON, if Wi-Fi and bluetooth are included in the comma separated list. Constant Value: "airplane_mode_radios" So, I tried to change this system setting in my code to be able to disable only the WiFi radio in the airplane mode The problem is that doing this does not change the airplane mode as intended. It still seems to switch off all the wireless interfaces. I am using eclipse with the ADT plugin and using an Android 1.5 AVD Emulator. Can someone guide me on whether I am doing something wrong or if this is not supported on the emulator?
View 2 Replies View RelatedApple Airplay seems quite impressive and it is possible that it might gain some momentum. As an owner of both Android and Apple products I'm thinking that it would have been great if it was possible for Android devices to support the protocol to send/receive audio/video either trough the OS or an application. I suspect that there might be both legal and technical obstructions. What do you think - Will there be AirPlay support for Android?
View 5 Replies View RelatedJust rooted my Evo w flipz Fresh 1.0.1. All is wonderful. I have an 8GB micro SD card at the moment, and this ROM comes configured to install apps to the card (vs. internal memory) using apps2sd. The card has been partitioned to have a 32MB swap, a 768MB ext2, and around 6GB for FAT32. So the card is now _very important_, as apps and prolly extensions from the OS are now on it. I'd like to backup to an _exact_ copy of the card. Is there a way using command shell or some other utility to clone/mirror? I would actually like to upgrade to a 16MB card, and keep everything just as it is on my 8MB card (i.e. copy same configuration and end up w 14GB of storage).

Figured I would try to share the update with google docs. The other mirrors people send us are always all full of popups and such. Just seems much easier to use Google.
Was wondering if anyone has a mirror to the new beta? Tried to access the webpage from my DInc but won't load either the page or the apk.
View 49 Replies View RelatedHTC EVO 4G front-facing camera test: good, but it records a mirror image | Google Android Blog
First off I have to say the quality from just the camera itself is excellent for a webcam IMO.
The weird thing is that it seems to record a mirror image meaning if something is on the right in real life it's actually on the left in the video. The article explains it. You think it's something that can corrected through an update?
My droid does not have a front mounted camera. How about two small rectangle mirrors mounted at 90 degrees with one edge of mirror touching just below the phone camera lens... and with some simple holder, it could turn phone into a front facing non reversed camera (2 mirrors -- like a periscope.)
Has anyone constructed this? Seems like it could be a simple product accessory that could world for multiple phones.
Dash is phone with camera backside pointing to one of two mirrors shown as slashes & V.
I'm wondering why the nightlys aren't on the mirror website anymore?
i know that the new 6.1.0 rc1 is out. is that why? now that thats out as stable the nightlys arent needed? and then when they begin to change that the nightlys will come back out again for this new one? or did the nightlys get moved and there still being made?
there are those of us, who due to whatever reason (helmet cams, preference for posture, etc) want to record videos in portrait mode.
What happens (on my sgs2) is that the video records just fine in whatever resolution I pick... but it records it 90 degrees rotated to the right.
The solution that is usually offered is that "you can rotate it after!" yes... but then you have to CROP part of the image and lower the resolution. 1920 x 1080 recordings end up having to be cropped so that half of the view is cut out , or even more if you are maintaining a real aspect ratio.
The questions about "why not just hold it sideways", are just as pointless as the statement by steve jobs telling iphone4 users that they were holding their phones wrong.
is this something that can be remedied ? or has google decided that people should only record videos when their phones are in landscape mode?
i understand that we cant see landscape resolution in portrait mode; but can't we just have a viewport into the camera, but record in properly oriented landscape mode? so that playback on a computer will show the full resolution, even though we will only see part of it on the phone..
dialer in kitkat is always in landscape mode when call is ongoing....how can we set it in portrait mode
View 1 Replies View RelatedInstalled my clarivue last night. It was really easy to install. This really helps with visibility outside, the screen isn't reflective like a mirror anymore. The touch screen doesn't feel as good as naked, but it repels fingerprints so I think it's worth the trade off. Excuse the dust.

So ive rooted my phone and tried a few roms. currently i have this one: [ROM] [05/18/2010] Tainted Vanilla V1.4 OVERCLOCKED - xda-developers
I always run into the same problem though. wired or wireless, i cant get it to connect right. wired never works in any way but i dont really care about that. wireless however shows some signs of working. it shows some data has been sent, not received though. and my computer will detect and connect to it, but seems to lose the signal after a few moments. when i bring up a browser it doesnt even look like something might load. it just says im offline. could someone help me with this?
The other part of this problem is i really just want to connect to my computers ad hoc network and use a wireless keyboard and mouse program. none of them seem that great unfortunately.. recommendations are appreciated. but my biggest issue is that i cant seem to connect to an ad hoc network. i believe my phone detected it only once while i was on the "white widow" rom, but could never quite connect..

I really like the HTC One, except for the glaring problem that HTC phones don't work with Foxfi. I'm going to upgrade my phone soon, and while the HTC One is my first choice, if I can't find a wireless tethering solution I'll end up going with the Samsung Galaxy S4 instead.
