Apr 15, 2012Saved all my contacts through import option on droid phone to the sd card.. Moved the vcf file to the pc.. Did a fresh install on my LG Optimus s phone.. and now cant import any contacts.. Its not displaying in contacts.. But if i go to text someone.. I type the first 3 letters and the full name and number displays. Just not in the contacts.. I accidentally upgraded my rooted froyo phone to gingerbread and hated I did it. got to wait til i can root it again. SO now im back to basic.. Does hard reset even revert to stock flash? Or you have to get technical in doing it?

Dec 3, 2013Running KK and trying to export some contacts using the stock export function in contacts - problem is that the generated vcf is in 2.1 format. This is not good, the export lost some info, such as custom labels of phone numbers.
Then I tried to found an app on the market that does that - not ONE have i found. All of them either do the export in 2.1 format; or they backup on the cloud; or send the contacts by mail; or use proprietary format.I just want to backup my contacts with all the info on my sdcard and be able to restore them.
What's strange is that the stock import contacts knows how to read 3.0 vcards and that I was able to do this thing I'm looking so hard now on my ancient SGS1 running GB.

May 13, 2010In preparation for an upcoming firmware update to my Eris, I processed an app backup to my device's sdcard. In doing this, Estrong's File Manager notified me that only 3 of my total applications failed to backup.Can anybody tell me why these apk files failed to backup to my sdcard? Is there anything that can be done about this?

I perform full backups prior to installing a new version of CM.Can I recover my contacts and only my contacts?And before anyone reminds me: yes, I know about Google Sync.There's a problem with that: my gmail account was hijacked. I was able to recover it, and everything is now thoroughly locked down with insane passwords. But I just discovered: all my contacts on my phone, at least the majority of them, have disappeared.And worse, in the Contacts area of Gmail, there are ZERO contacts. My contacts got completely wiped! So.. kind of in a pickle, where Sync has made things worse by syncing one way, and not the other way! It forced the contacts off my phone, instead of uploading the contacts on my phone to Google! What's up with that?

Sep 20, 2010I am having a problem where my XML files are slow to load and don't finish downloading before they start to be parsed which throws an xml not well formatted exception from my parser showing that the file downloaded incompletely. The complete error from logcat is "ERROR/Error(323): errororg.apache.harmony.xml.ExpatParser$ParseException: At line 10, column 46: not well-formed (invalid token)" I know the xml file is correct because sometimes it will work and I can also pull it up in my browser and look at it.
What would be the best way to make the parser wait for the InputSource before continuing on and parsing the xml data? The code below is the code I use to get the file and parse it.
