View 4 RepliesI know that it used to kill batteries when you would recharge it before it was low and needed to be charged. I also heard it was bad to take an item off of the recharger before it was at 100%. Does any of that hold true with today's batteries, meaning the one that is in the Sprint Hero? Can I recharge it at night if the battery is at 48% and have it not hurt the battery or it's life? Just wondering because I have a charge at work and home and wait till it is in need of charging. That is sort of a pain, I would rather turn the phone off at night and charge it and have a fresh and fast phone in the morning.

It's the Facebook update isn't it?
Battery life down to 2-3 hours with little to no use.
Im sure that there must be a few using Opera Mini 5 beta out there.I was just looking through the settings and im wondering a bit about this "Opera Link".I signed up and well nothing happened. What exactly does "it" do and how exactly do I get "it" to do"it"?I had to re-read that to make sure "it" made sense.

View 8 Replies View RelatedYou can now get Opera 5 from the Android Market.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI'm finding that the standard browser is way slower when navigating than the Opera Mini beta.Same thing over wifi and mobile. We're talking about 30 seconds in standard browser compared to about 1 second in Opera. What's that about? Is everybody else finding the same thing? It's annoying that Opera isn't quite as complete as standard browser, coz otherwise I'd just use it all the time.

View 9 Replies View RelatedWhen I go to gmail in Opera Mini 5, I am presented with a webpage that is "basic" (for lack of a better word). When I go to gmail in the stock browser or Dolphin, I get an "enhanced" version of gmail. It has tabs across the top and is quicker to navigate around. Is there a way to get this enhanced version when using Opera Mini? Hopefully I am clear enough on the differences.

Has anyone tried running the java Opera Mini 5 beta on a Galaxy with the GalaxHero or Galaxo roms? If so, how does it run? I'm hoping it will be quicker than the stock browser and as quick as the android native Opera 4.2.
View 3 Replies View RelatedAnyone else having problems with entering text while using opera mini? To clarify: about 1 out of every 3 times I enter text on any type of web site, or forum such as this, after entering and pressing POST, it erases all of the text. I am using 2.1v2 and had this problem before I updated. I am also using swype lite.
View 23 Replies View Relatedstill thinking about getting a desire, has anyone put opera mini 5 on their desire? does it work well? how does it compare with the in built browser.i am often in areas with only GPRS coverage, so opera mini makes using the net bearable there, so its important to me

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've been all over the forums and the web and I can't find the answer to this question. How do I change the default browser to Opera Mini? Is there a way? This is driving me nuts. I'm still using 1.5 if that matters.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am very interested in getting an android phone soon but I need to use a certain browser which for some reason is the ONLY mobile browser that works with my home security cameras.I have tried them all (opera, skyfire, iris etc) the only one that works, and works well, is opera mini 3 or mini 2.4.
Any newer versions of opera mini don't work. Go figure. So far I have used it only on windows mobile 6.0
If Opera mini 5 works on the android platform, do you think earlier versions,IE. 3.0 or 2.4 would also work? does it have to be downloaded as an app or can I install the version I have saved (it is not available from opera anymore}
I don't know where else to post my question. I am a new member.
ok so i go on some sites that show what phone i'm using, some browsers show the phone, but opera mini 7 always show 'posted from opera mini 7'. could i change that at all?
my phone is a chinese one but i'm guessing that makes no difference, but it'd be nice if i could type my own message in so it read something like 'posted from [my own text here]'
i could think of a few funny things to put, or simply just put iOcean X7 (as that's my phone)
i'm guessing if i go into my files and folders, i'd find something somewhere, but going in there scares me.
I have a QMobile Noir A2 with custom ROM D-XPERIA HD installed. Android version 2.3.7
I have been facing a problem from quite a while now that I cannot access Facebook or Google through any browser except Opera Mini.
It always gives me an error that could not locate remote server and/or check your network connection.I'm using wifi and Facebook and Google works just fine on my PC on same network. Even the Facebook Android app works properly and all other applications also work perfectly on the Internet. So this is not a problem with my network connection.
Only browsers do not load these pages, I have tried the stock browser, Dolphin, one browser, opera classic previously called opera mobile and other browsers too. A few months ago they were working but now not.I did not try Firefox or Opera Beta Browser because the are too heavy for my phone.
Opera Mini works, obviously because it does all loading and processing in its servers.I think that there maybe a certificate or authentication problem in my phone which is causing this.
I want to leave the Browser(Opera mini) running while I want to trun of the display. The javascript script should get executed while the display is off, is that possible? I have a rooted Motorola Motus(Backflip).
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've updated handcent and facebook and now my phone dies while I'm sleeping. It was at 50% when I went to bed. I have the sync for facebook set at once a day and never had this happen till after I updated those two apps. I now have to charge my phone 3 times a day! This is getting ridiculous.

View 22 Replies View RelatedSo I never use wifi or GPS. I keep the screen pretty low and don't use the motoblur stuff. I still can't get trough a day! Does Open Home or Panda Home kill the battery? What about my SlideIt keyboard?
View 5 Replies View RelatedWill take the past three days for example. Monday i took ONE picture and all day under menu>settings>about phone>battery>battery use..... it said the camera app used 94% of my battery and that was after a days use.
Tuesday then rolls around and i didn't use my camera and i had charged my phone monday night but whats weird is it still said the camera app used about 87% of my battery and my battery died QUICK that day.
Today is wednesday and so far the only time i used my camera was when i quickly opened the bar code scanner app but i didn't even scan a code i just opened it for maybe 3 seconds and today it says the camera used 47% of my battery.
Is my camera app staying open even though under running services it isn't there and neither is it there when i use task killers such as "Android system Info"
I have an EVO and I have a problem with it. I downloaded the app Advanced Task Killer to take care of apps running in the background. However sometimes when I pull it up I find that things like Sprint Navigation, Qik, Voice Dialer, and sometimes others are running without me pulling them up. My question is, how do I keep these apps from doing this, because they kill my battery when they come on and I don't know it?
