HTC Hero :: Opera Mini Not Working
Oct 28, 2009Installed Opera via the market ap and i can load it up but the homescreen just sits there,if i press anything on the screen nothing happens at all?

May 5, 2010Im sure that there must be a few using Opera Mini 5 beta out there.I was just looking through the settings and im wondering a bit about this "Opera Link".I signed up and well nothing happened. What exactly does "it" do and how exactly do I get "it" to do"it"?I had to re-read that to make sure "it" made sense.

Apr 8, 2010I'm finding that the standard browser is way slower when navigating than the Opera Mini beta.Same thing over wifi and mobile. We're talking about 30 seconds in standard browser compared to about 1 second in Opera.What's that about?Is everybody else finding the same thing? It's annoying that Opera isn't quite as complete as standard browser, coz otherwise I'd just use it all the time.

When I go to gmail in the stock browser or Dolphin, I get an "enhanced" version of gmail. Oct 20, 2010I am very interested in getting an android phone soon but I need to use a certain browser which for some reason is the ONLY mobile browser that works with my home security cameras.I have tried them all (opera,skyfire,iris etc) the only one that works, and works well, is opera mini 3 or mini 2.4.
Any newer versions of opera mini don't work. Go figure. So far I have used it only on windows mobile 6.0
If Opera mini 5 works on the android platform, do you think earlier versions,IE. 3.0 or 2.4 would also work? does it have to be downloaded as an app or can I install the version I have saved (it is not available from opera anymore}

Jul 9, 2013ok so i go on some sites that show what phone i'm using, some browsers show the phone, but opera mini 7 always show 'posted from opera mini 7'. could i change that at all?
my phone is a chinese one but i'm guessing that makes no difference, but it'd be nice if i could type my own message in so it read something like 'posted from [my own text here]'
i could think of a few funny things to put, or simply just put iOcean X7 (as that's my phone)
i'm guessing if i go into my files and folders, i'd find something somewhere, but going in there scares me.
General :: Cannot Access Facebook And Google On Any Browser Except Opera Mini?
Sep 1, 2013I have a QMobile Noir A2 with custom ROM D-XPERIA HD installed. Android version 2.3.7
I have been facing a problem from quite a while now that I cannot access Facebook or Google through any browser except Opera Mini.
It always gives me an error that could not locate remote server and/or check your network connection.I'm using wifi and Facebook and Google works just fine on my PC on same network. Even the Facebook Android app works properly and all other applications also work perfectly on the Internet. So this is not a problem with my network connection.
Only browsers do not load these pages, I have tried the stock browser, Dolphin, one browser, opera classic previously called opera mobile and other browsers too. A few months ago they were working but now not.I did not try Firefox or Opera Beta Browser because the are too heavy for my phone.
Opera Mini works, obviously because it does all loading and processing in its servers.I think that there maybe a certificate or authentication problem in my phone which is causing this.

Sep 30, 2010I have an HTC Hero with a 2Gb Mini SD that is almost full, so I bought a 8Gb mini to replace the small original 2Gb SD. The 2Gb is 75% full so I am sure there is data and config that I need but is on that 2 Gb SD. What is the best way to replace the card without losing the data and config.I tried HTC Sync, but it only wants to back up my Outlook, which I don't sync anyways. I also mounted the phone as a HD and looking at the file system, there seems to be no way to copy and replace what I need.One other question. Is the SD card the only storage media on the phone? Is there internal built in storage other than a BIOS type boot strap?

Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini/pro :: Battery Not Working?
Dec 4, 2010I now have a problem with my battery. A few hours ago, my battery level was around 35%. A few hours later, it remained at 35% indication. Since this couldn't be correct, i restarted the phone. Now, my battery indication was 100%. False again. I turned the phone off. It wouldn't restart. I tried the 'flash device method' by holding back button and putting in computer USB. No help. I tried SEUS. After that, phone switched back on, with false battery indication back to 100%, which is impossible. I noticed that during all this 'fun stuff', my battery refuses to charge. The LED indicator remains green without flashing, the settings screen doesnt say 'charging'. I know that the phone won't charge below 95% battery. So, the phone thinks the battery is 100%, therefore won't charge, and I'm pretty screwed, especially since I fear that once my battery drops dead, the phone won't be able to charge ever since it will think its 100% full.

Oct 12, 2010I've had my mini pro for 3 days now and i've experienced this problem since my first initial charge.
It seems that the touchscreen does not work once i resume from standby. The keys work and so does the keypad but the system doesn't respond when i touch the screen. At first I thought it was because the phone was charging and so it doesnt operate whilst charging. However, i've encountered this problem 4-5 times with the phone discharged. The only way i can get around this is by removing the battery and putting it back in, which restarts the phone. I don't think this is normal and i've consulted with my friend who has the same phone and claims he has no issues with it so far. So what is going on here?
2nd time- phone was on standby around 3 hours
3rd time- phone was on standby 8 hours
4th time - dont remember
5th time - 10 mins (ridiculous -.-)
Im thinking it may be a phone issue and not the battery (since all the keys work except touchscreen). Also, this DOES not happen everytime phone is on standby. It acts faulty whenever it wants which is very irritating. If anyone is experiencing the same problem pls dont hesitate to post your ideas. I love this phone very much but this problem is leaving me in doubt.

The download gets to near completion and then I receive an error message. I tried updating via PC Companion and the update available on the site (version 2.10.10.9) but the same problem occurs. What could be the reason for this?
