View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen I got my HTC Hero a few days back, I instantly noticed I cannot bluetooth my contacts. So I spent over hours trying to figure out a way to do it and eventually forced me to create all my contacts in my PC (which I just import/exported to my gmail account), but that took me about an hour or 2. So I was wondering if there was some way I can backup my contacts FROM the phone, directly onto gmail, or a contacts file. Because I know I will get contacts, and this information will be helpful in the near future. Also, please check out my other thread. My HTC is having major Awake issues.

View 8 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone come across any trusted free phone contacts backup apps in the Android Market? I found an apps called "backup for root users" in Android Market, but from the user review, it looks like it's very buggy.Does anyone has any other better phone contacts backup apps to recommend?

View 15 Replies View RelatedThis is a great way to easily backup and sync your phone! Never plug in, always be backed up!(Now available to Froyo!) m:IQ takes your phone content and pushes it to a private account on the web. From then on, what you do on the phone will instantly update on the web, and what you do on the web will update on your phone. Aside from backing up all data,(contacts, texts, photos, videos ect.) users can send texts from the web, import contacts with ease to push to their phone, browse and manage data, upload photos to social media, edit calender, and much more! m:IQ also makes it easier than ever to migrate phones! You can download the app FREE from the market.

I prefer just to use a cable for the sound since it's clearer and I don't have to keep fiddling with stations when I get feedback. All the other docks that I've found are window mounted suction cup deals. Does anyone know of a dock that plugs into the cigarette lighter, but doesn't have the FM transmitter?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI am trying to download a ringtone onto my phone (which apparently gets downloaded to my sd card under download) but its saying I have no available space. Its a 2 gig mem card and i have 1.7 gigs left on it thats completely free. And my phone has 99mb of internal memory free. So a few hundred kb ringtone should not be saying this.
View 2 Replies View RelatedHow can I find how much free space / memory I have left on my phone? RAM, MB, etc? I just rooted, installed a ROM and learned how to delete bloatware. Now I want to learn how to monitor my usage of space, and try to make my phone faster.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Blaupunkt Melbourn car stereo with the Blaupunkt USB/Bluetooth Interface installed in my car and it used to work just fine with my Sprint Mogul and Touch Pro, but I can't seem to make it work with my Hero. When I pair the two, the radio only recognizes the Hero as an audio source and not as a phone. In other words, I assume I can stream music from the phone to the radio but I can't answer the phone with it. I should add that the connection icon shows up as audio headphones instead of a phone handset in the Bluetooth Devices screen. And this is just the opposite of what I need. I could care less whether I can stream music, but I need to be able to use the car radio as a hands-free device and as I wrote in the last paragraph, the radio worked perfectly in that capacity with my last two phones. So does anyone have any idea whether this is a phone problem or a stereo problem? Does anyone have any idea if there's a work-around? For that matter, does anyone have any helpful information at all?

Does anyone remember and can point me in the right direction
So I rooted my phone, did a nanodroid back-up, and added a custom Rom. At first I flashed MoCaDo onto the phone but I had a lot of force closes. So I flashed Fresh .5 over MocaDo 1.1 and the force closes stop. The phone feels a lot zipper. I have WiFi tether. Spare parts is great. Now how do I move apps to the sd card to free up more space?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI just switched ROM's to Fresh 2.3.3 and used Titanium Backup. My question is, is it usually necessary to have to go in and redo all your icons? It looked like the programs were there but the icons looked funny. Also using ADW.
View 10 Replies View RelatedCan I backup some apps from 2.1 then convert to 2.2 with the same app backed up? Would it still work with the same data from 2.1?
View 7 Replies View RelatedSince flashing to a 2.* rom and back a few times i am now back on fresh 1.1 and I am trying to do a few updates and download new apps but everything hangs. It just says either authorizing credit card for paid or starting download for free apps. I have even let it go over night and it never finished.
View 6 Replies View Relatedmarket - informs you of updates - keeps track of free apps too. nice!
View 7 Replies View RelatedIs there a free app that syncs statuses such as Facebook, Twitter, etc at the same time??
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am curious because I backed up my original stock ROM with all of my apps and all that sprint junk, and now I would like to backup the custom ROM with a bunch of the sprint bloat removed. However I would like to have the option to go back to either of them.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI am using My Backup Pro to backup my phone. While it does a good job it only does a selective backup. Is there a program that I can use on my stock phone to do a more comprehensive backup? Maybe a mirror backup like Nandroid?
View 7 Replies View RelatedGood Morning all --- another question surfaced as I am considering partitioning of my SD card for use with Fresh 2.0d and using the benfits of Apps2SD.
Once up and running, does the Nandroid backup work on this configuration? Or must you keep your files in the Hero to get a functional backup? Now using the 1.6.2 version of RA.
I would certainly not want to sacrifice my ability to make periodic Nandriod backups of my phone.
I am trying to restore a nandroid backup and everyone comes up with the following error "Error : run 'nandroid-mobile.shrestore' via adb! i tried restoring factory defaults and then doing the restore and it still didnt work. I have also tried restores that i know i have used in the past.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am finaly getting somewhat comfortable with flashing and nandroid backup/restores.
I forgot to wipe before restoring a nandroid (DC2.08.1) last night, and subsequently have made some changes. Everything seems to be working OK. I will make a new Nandroid backup.
Is there any benefit to then wiping and restoring that new nandroid backup? Or will the backup just re-install what I have just wiped? Sorry, I don't understand what exactly is being wiped.
the title is basically the question.. does anyone know?
View 36 Replies View RelatedWhen I click on the nandroid backup my the process starts, then i think the phone goes to reboot during the process (I assume this is part of the process?) then I get a error icon on my phone a Triangle with a exclamation point in the middle, then I'm stuck, the phone wont reconnect to Fresh Kitchen. should I use recovery to fore reboot? help? One thought, do i have to use the USB to micro USB that comes with the phone or can I just use a standard micro USB to USB that I always use (the one that came with my digital camera)
