Even though I am still on a v1.6. Whenever I connection my phone try to do a update, it keeps saying that I already have the lastest software. Only gives me the option to repair or cancel. Same thing is happening if I search for the update from phone. I want v2.1.

I've just downloaded the latest update to my phone and I'm now unable to download any apps. I can select the app to download but when i select it the phone says 'starting download' and doesn't actually download anything.

Hooked phone to PC companion and was informed an update was available. Followed through the update process and when the phone was disconnected and powered on as instructed I was still left with 1.6. Now when I connect to PC companion I am informed software is up to date with 1.6.

I've just tried to update my X10 to the new 2.1 firmware, with absolutely no luck.I get through all the stages, everything works fine, no errors reported, everything reset on the phone, all looked great.But, when I check the version its' still at 1.6. And every time i connect it to the PC after the upgrade, it tells me there's an update available, just to go through the same thing again, and still leave me with 1.6.
Any ideas?I tried uninstalling and reinstalling PC Companion.No change. I'm on Orange UK, and the update only became available to me today.

i got the update notification for xperia x10 few days back, i quickily connected it to pc using pc companion and took the backup, then i started the update process, it reached till prepared, and after that it started initialization, but here the problem started. it was showing the initialization for 4 hours,i thought may be it hanged so i stopped it and disconnected the phone and restarted the update process, same thing happened this time. the progress bar doesnt show any progress after initialization, it showed 100% in initialization after some 4 hours but after tht nothing happened.i dont knw the problem, it can't be network problem, as i have a 1mbps connection and i checked the speed also before starting the update,i kept the update process as it is for 10 hours, but it still didnt show any progress from the last time.

I get errors about unable to fetch updates or unable to update page. All the while the WiFi icon is still on in the status bar. It seems that when I turn off the WiFi then back on or power the phone off then back on it work again for a short while. I don't have issues with my laptop or WiFi that use this same router.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was unable to receive MMS messages since upgrading to 2.1. I spoke to voda and now have the fix for anyone having problems. It may work on other networks, it may not, but it definitely sorted it for me on vodafone. Anyway, here goes:
Click on settings.
Click on Wireless & Networks.
Click on Mobile Networks.
Click on Access Point Names.
Click the Menu Button, (Left hand silver button at bottom of phone).
Click Reset To Default.
Once you have done the above, turn off your phone, remove your battery and sim card, and wait at least 10 seconds and then replace your sim card and battery. Turn your phone back on and job done, you can now receive MMS texts again. But do note, any previously received MMS texts will still be un-openable so you will need to ask the sender to resend.
I got the SE Xperia 10 mini and I am trying to connect to PC Companion. when I try to connect to install it it doesn't do anything what am I doing wrong? Really need some photos and music on the phone but cant seem to do anything as bluetooth doesn't work either!

View 4 Replies View RelatedFew days ago i had trouble with the keyboard of my X10, it was, for unknown reason, lock in Korean and i couldn't change it.So i decided to reset my phone to factory setup. This worked and the keyboard came back to french.But now i can't access to any Google app, as Market, Gmail, etc.It's asking me to log in to my google account (it never ask me that before, even when i bought the phone), but it's always telling me that my password is wrong and advice me to connect http:/google.com/accounts on my PC. I did it and i can access to my google account without any problem.Then i updated my phone to Android 2.1, but it didn't solve anything, i tried to repair it with Update service and PC Companion, but it didn't help more.I found on internet that i could put "null" as my password, but then it's asking me to reproduce a capcha, i did but it's asking me to reproduce another one, again and again.I noticed than my phone seems to have some trouble to connect with my SIM card, don't know if it's link.I don't really want to send my phone to repair for 3 weeks, but this is becoming really annoying, what can i do ?

Today I heard about an update for the market that includes an auto update feature for installed apps. But I, like many others, do not see this option on the market.
Does anyone have any idea how to get it? or if I can't get it, when can I?
