I just got this phone and think its amazing but for some reason i don't have any 3g network anymore i had it before i updated to 2.1 is there somewhere in the settings i should look?

I am going to purchase this phone but ATT can not seem to answer a simple question. I have been to their stores (two of them) and talked to on-line representatives and they do not have a solid answer.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI saw a commercial today for the Xperia X10 on Rogers, which said it included "Unlimited Social Networking". Just wondering if anyone, like me bought the phone in April, and knows if this is included in their Voice + Data plan? I'm currently on the $50 Voice and Data, and http://www.rogers.com/web/content/social-networking shows that its pre-bundled in the 3 plans.
Or if this is something we have to contact them to add, or worse, something we missed out on because we bought the phone too early for their liking.
I have an Xperia 10 mini pro and am having extreme difficulty with text messages. Basically when someone sends me a text message, I can see the first part of it on the screen that shows the various text conversations that I am having with people BUT when I click on that particular conversation, the text message isn't there. To give an example, my husband and I have been texting a lot tonight and I have the text conversation up to about 2 hours ago, but none of the messages since then are visible (although the first line of the last one he sent to me is visible on the main text message screen).

View 5 Replies View RelatedI got the phone last week and very disappointed with low sound volume but seems I am not alone....anyway that's not my question.I am interested in how much my 3G connection is active and how much data my phone is receiving/sending. I installed the 3G Watchdog app and for example this morning with browsing BBC website with NO downloads etc it is showing 4.76MB data alone (3.96MB received and 838KB transmitted). My 3G connection is almost always flashing with the arrows showing data transfer but what is it?!
Facebook has all updates off
Email is synced hourly
Moxier calendar daily
I seem to have a "background" data transfer of 3MB/day and this is without any browsing etc...what is going on?!
My internal phone memory is getting eaten up fast, how can I move the applications and make installations go directly to the SD card?
View 10 Replies View RelatedI am having problems with my contacts showing up on my Black Xperia X10i. I made sure I saved all 170 contacts to my AT&T sim card before I put it in the phone. When I put it in, and turned on the phone, nothing showed up. I tried to go through settings to see if it had to be checked but I can't find anything.
View 8 Replies View RelatedOn my x10 i use handcent to manage my text messages when i someone texts me with a smiley in the text - i get the shortcut instead of the small pic if i enter a smiley and send it to my phone...i get the picture.
The difference i can see is the one i get does not include the - between the colon character anyway of changing this?

View 4 Replies View Relatedso hopefully this question/problem isn't as simple/dumb as my previous.I've somehow messed up my keyboard settings or language. the bottom right and bottom left buttons now have some Chinese/Japanese text on them and the bottom left button turns on some alternative keyboard options and changes my text output to Japanese.Now I presumed this was simply something in my language settings but I've set them back to UK and still no joy.I'm also using Handcent sms and the Handcent keyboard ui but that's not displaying either. Tried un-install/reinstall but no luck.

When I plop my sim back into my old shitty LG VU, I can once again see the number and the name registered to it. Is this an x10 thing?

I tried to upgrade the software using the PC Companion, but I think I must have done something wrong, because whenever I 'Show Balance' on screen, it shows the amount remaining but now instead of showing the £ sign before the number, it now shows a '?'. I've tried repairing it using the PC Companion and also doing a factory reset but this hasn't solved the problem.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've had the X10 a week now, changed the keyboard to and from the stock Android keyboard when I first had it - but now I can't recall how to change it back again (I'm sure someone's been messing with the phone because i've not changed the keyboard in the past few days).
I've tried chaging in Setting > Locale and Text, but its clearly not there...
so im blasted pissed i lost all my pictures, and my setting for my ringtones. I didn't do nothing i just woke up and they were gone. I haven't done the update so i idk wt* happened
At first i thought it was my Sd card but it isn't because i didn't loose my apps. Now i know there's no way to recover my pictures, but i want to know if there is a way to get the phone to work recognize the folder i have so i can use my custom ringtones, alarms and notifications again.I tried the SDcard/audio/ringtones and etc because that's what i had last time and now it isn't work
I had been using the DATA TOGGLE widget for couple days, today strangely the widget was not functioning, it was not possible to turn on/off data. I tried uninstalling the app but still the problem persists.I tried switching off the phone, remove battery didn't work also tried the airplane mode on/off without luck also tried changing the ENABLE DATA in the settings no luck Cleare all current APN's and re installed the APN settings but still the problem persists?

View 4 Replies View RelatedWith the 2.1 upgrade, I have a little question about mobile network settings.I do not have 3G and do not have a monthly data plan. In 1.6, all I had to do was tick off "data roaming" in the Mobile Network Settings to make sure I do not ever connect to the 3G network.In 2.1, there are "Data Roaming" and "Data Traffic". If I were to tick off "Data Roaming", would that mean that the "Data Traffic" is no longer in use either, even if its ticked on? I do not want to tick off the "Data Traffic" option because it leaves a huge ugly picture on the notification bar.Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I do not want an abundance phone bill due to this!
