I can't seem to charge my X10 in the car. I have tried tried three different chargers, including the official one for the X10. Just trying see if anyone else is having this issue or could provide some insight.

it works perfectly fine with main charge and usb charge and now it won't charge whatsoever no matter how i try. i did the factory reset on my x10. still it wont charge. btw when i turn off my x10 first, then connects it to the power. it would turn on my phone like others but just wont charge.
View 31 Replies View RelatedI got my update 3 days ago, and now I dont feel my x10 anymore. Its not special anymore.. Anybody knows how to go back to 1.6? I got unlocked rogers phone in Canada. My battery used to go almost 3 days, now not even 24 hrs!! It does NOT charge more than %91.. Texting is so harder now, touchscreen is sooooo sensitive. app. menu sucks.

Soetimeswhen i move the cable (Where it connects to the phone) around abit I can get a charge but lately nothing at all. Tried other usb cords and battery's and still nothing. It just happened out of the blue.
View 3 Replies View RelatedFirst: I can't turn it on. When I press the on button my phone just vibrates (like those of the initial stage of turning on the phone) but there is no sony ericsson logo that appears and there's even no light in my keypads.
Second: I can't charge. I plugged my phone in the USB charger and only one red blink of light appeared, this appears like in a span of every 20 secs plugged in and not the normal charging light for my phone. I tried cleaning the ports for the USB charger even my batteries but still it doesn't work.
i noticed since going to 2.1 my battery wont fully charge. it stays plugged in on average 7 hours while i sleep and each morning its been around 90% full but no more. i know the battery will charge and discharge a little while charging but this one doesnt wanna go any higher.

Didn't charge.Tried the usb into the pc and got the battery with the lightning bolt symbol. Plugged into wall outlet wont work. What gives? I tried taking out the battery for 5-10 mins and still nothing. The guy at support asked if I could turn the usb the other way like I was an idiot, and I explained to him that it only goes in one way. Any ideas? I plan on taking it back if I cant solve it.

Sometimes it would charge then sometimes it wouldn't and it is already annoying the **** out of me. Another problem with it is that when I play music with it, it would just suddenly turn off by itself. I've tried to send it for fixing to sony ericson but they said that the problem is unfixable. And I only had my phone for 1 and a half month and im already having this problem. I tried to reason with the ericson people but they said there is nothing they could do.
If anyone has any idea on how to fix this.
When I charge my phone I'm unable to switch it off? If I switch the phone off and then plug it in, this turns the phone back on again? Is there a way to charge the phone when the phone is switched off?

View 6 Replies View RelatedPlease correct that by constructing a fixation for the USB-port on boardside, caused by the leverage-forces when plugging in or unplugging the charging-cable, so that it cannot break at the solder spots so easily any more. I think one or two gills, pressing from above onto the USB-Port, constructed into the case, would be enough to solve the problem. So the leverage-forces wouldn“t take effekt to the solder-spots of the USB-Port, but to the (new constructed) gills and the case of the X10.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI was aware of the poor customer reviews of the x10's battery life, but it's turned out to be much worse than expected.
I will take the phone off of charge at 8am and ensure that no tasks or apps are running, not use the phone throughout the day, then by 3pm the charge level is around 30%. Often, if I don't start charging the phone at that point at work, the phone will run out of charge completely by around 4pm. I check throughout the day and tasks are not running, so how is the charge being lost so quick?!
This problem is not getting better: I read customer reviews saying that the battery problem improves after around the first month, but my case is the opposite - it started to get even worse after the first month!
I am also having a problem with adding contacts to the address book - all of a sudden it seems that I cannot add new contacts. I will add one contact, go back to the address book and see the new contact being displayed in the list, but when adding a second new contact both the first and second new contacts disappear. I do not have a problem with phone memory, I have tried saving to both SIM and memory, have tried backing up my address book in case that makes a difference, have switched the phone off/on again, but all to no avail. I have tried adding a new number to an existing contact and the new contact seems to disappear. It goes without saying that I have read the x10 instructions on this subject (and it goes without saying that I make sure to press save/done when adding the new entry).
It's got to the point where I am starting to regret choosing the X10. On the face of it, this is an excellent phone, but two relatively simple problems are ensuring that I feel like I own the poor man's smartphone (dare I say it, I wish I chose an iPhone now).
I checked with both my network operator and the shop I bought it from - unfortunately I am outside the 28 day initial period (I am in the UK), so the only recourse offered to me by the shop is to give me £20 to buy either a new battery or to buy a new cheap pay as you go phone so that I can return the handset/battery to SE. The problem with both options is that I am not confident that it will resolve the problem.
Anyone else had any issues like this?
since I upgraded to android 2.1 ... when I connect the cable to charge the battery of my phone .. the phone software goes crazy .. it loops all the time .. does anybody have the same problem???
View 10 Replies View RelatedI am planning to buy a 32 gb micro sdhc card for my Xperia X10.However, I have found tons of confusing and conflicting information here on SE forums and all over the net.To my surprise, even Sony Ericsson itself giving conflicting information regarding this.On the product page of Xperia X10 (click this link and click on the specifications), it says that Xperia X10 supports microSD up to 16GB only.Whereas the official Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 White paper (on page no.5) says that it supports -microSD, up to 32 GB. (The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 White paper can be downloaded from this link).Now i urge someone, preferably an SE moderator or staff, to enlighten on this matter and answer how and why SE is giving contradictory and confusing statements regarding the sd card capability and compatibility for the same product?.

But when I do this there is no Sony Ericsson option.
I was surprised that SONY is not providing a software which enables the user to sync the Xperia X10 mini pro directly with your computer (e.g. Outlook).
After wasting a lot of time I generated an account at Sony webpage and managed all my accounts including "birthday" but now I found out that the
phone is not creating a corresponding calendar entry and therefore my phone is not reminding me for any birthday.
So I did some modding (unfortunately) to the framework-res.apk file and it worked the first time and a few other times but then I changed something and now when I turn on the phone it freezes at the "Sony Ericsson" screen before the logo. What do I do?
I tried pushing the backup framework file but it says "failed to copy framework-res.apk to /sdcard/framework-res.apk: Permission denied
However, when I use adb devices, it does show my device as being attached.
So what can I do now?
I was also able to pull files...
Also tried manually putting the framework-res.apk in the sdcard and then using adb to copy it to the framework folder. Doesnt work. Saids that the directory cannot be open for read. I guess the device cant read the SD card until it boots up.
I saw that there are already a number of discussions about sony erricson synchronization but I cannot find one for this specific message: Synchronization failed. It wouldn't tell me why it failed, it just spits out that generic message after I click "Finish" in the Sony Ericsson Sync Client Wizard.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'd like to use my X10 to keep all of my contacts' postal addresses in instead of the tatty old address book I carry in my handbag(!) I didn't fancy typing them all into the phone, so thought I would use the Sony Ericsson sync and put them into the pc first via the PC Companion sync application, and set up the sync to transfer them into my phone. I have tried a test run adding only a couple of addresses to my contacts on the pc, and adding one to my phone, but when I do a sync, the addresses don't transfer either way. I know that the actual sync is working because I added photos too and they transfer....... I must be doing something wrong that is easily rectified?
