Just got a SE Xperia X10 and I'm just trying the headphones. I have a pair of Apple Headphones with inline mic in them and whenever i connect it to the phone, the sound is distorted. However with standard Apple Headphones, they're fine. Is something wrong with my device or is it something else?

I just bought the Hero, which I love but so far I am not loving that the mic on my apple headphones does not work. Anyone else run into this? The headphones work so I can hear music and such but the mic isn't picking up anything. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

But the built-in mic doesn't seem to work when I have the headphones still plugged in? So the caller can't hear me talk... Is this a setting I have overlooked? Does anyone know how to keep the built-in mic working when I have just headphones (Sennheiser IE7 without mic obviously) plugged in?

It will just cut off suddenly. Is it a problem with the phone that I need to bring down to the customer service? My worst experience was to call my friend 3 times for a 10 minutes conversation. The phone just cut itself off and I have to call her again.

My Xperia X10 play the ringing sound in external speakers and headphones when I have the headset connected. The same happens when I use headphones and car navigation, the sound coming out of the external speaker and headset simultaneously. If I use Bluetooth or regular headphones, the experience is the same.

I know BBM won't work outside of blackberry phones, so I went around searching what apps would work. I've found stuff like PingChat!, Kik, WhatsApp, TextOne...can you guys give me some advice as to which one is the most user-friendly and uses the least data? (I'm on a limited data plan). Have tried setting the alarm for Mon - Fri, everyday or weekend but whatever I do the alarm does not go off. I have checked the basic things - time setting, alarm tune, alarm time setting, ticked the relevant box (have tried every day or mon- fri) and no matter what I do the alarm will not go off so thus is very unreliable. Is there a fix for this or is there an app that I can download that will provide me with a fully functioning alarm that works as and when I want it to. Has this happened to you at all? I am currently running 1.6 but from some of the horror stories I read I am to upgrade to a higher version - if in fact I can do it or trust myself to not lose patience when the whole thing goes pear shaped.

I bought my xperia x10 in tehran on 2nd july and after 45 days found that it is not charging. i took it to sonyericsson support and guarantee representative '' pars COMTEL'' on 23rd august, and they say the charging IC and the usb connector is faulty and they dont know when they can repair it.
is it right that when we trust a name like ''sonyericsson'' they treat their customers like this? weeks without knowing what they would do?
