Samsung Moment :: Roadrunner / Moxier Setup Without An Exchange Server?
Nov 27, 2009I have searched all over. Moxier seems to work great for those that can get it to work. I am trying to get it to work with my personal email account on roadrunner. Regardless of what servers/settings I use, it still says to provide detailed server information.Anyone have any luck setting this up? I don't want to pay for an exchange program as the entire reason I went from a Centro to Moment was to be able to push emails and contacts back to Outlook. Can anyone help? I don't want to trade this back under the 30 day program as I don't know if the Pre will work or not. I don't know of any other phones that have the features this one does.

Nov 30, 2010I recently purchased the Samsung fascinate which runs android 2.1 (eria) and found online before i bought it that the phone could support 2 exchange server emails. i have set up my first email through the setup and selected exchange as the server. now the problem arises, when i go into link up my other exchange email account i enter in the info then click automatic setup, it brings me to manual setup automatically everytime and wont allow me to select exchange as the server. it only gives me the options of imap and pop3, neither of these thus far will work and link my second email, i called my it dept and got the port numbers and all that when entering them into the imap and pop3 setup but it will not work. is there anyway around this or how do i setup to exchange server emails on this device.

May 13, 2010I got my Incredible on April 29th and setup my Exchange email account and was able to send and receive with no problems. Contacts and calendar synced with no problems. Everything was fine for about a week then I noticed I was no longer receiving emails. I could send with no problems and contacts and calendar still synced ok, I just could not get emails using wither WiFi or Verizon's network. I went into the account settings and activesync settings and see an error message that said "error occurred on the computer running the exchange server". Deleting and recreating the account on the Incredible seems to work, but for only about 7-10 days then right back in the same boat. I do not think the phone is the issue as I had a Droid and had the almost identical problem.
On the Droid I did not see the error message but I would stop receiving emails after about a week. I have tried Touchdown and it's almost the same issue, except that the error is something along the lines of "mail queued on the server". Again, removing and reinstalling the account in Touchdown resolves the issue for about another week. I called our corp help desk folks and it was a wasted phone call. All I got from them was we don't support mobile devices via activesync and wouldn't talk about it anymore, so I am leaning toward something on our mail server causing the issue. My only problem with that answer is that we also have other users here with iPhones and Windows mobile devices and they are not having any problems, and they are also connected via activesync.

Nov 13, 2009My company's exchange server is similar to mail.company.com/exchange, but when I put in that address, it removes the "/exchange" and it gives me an error saying "Unable to open connection to server". Is there a way around this, or am I stuck without the ability to sync my work email?

I have 2 other email accounts that no matter what I do I can not get them to work. One is my works email which is handled by a company called network solutions. I can get the incoming server setup fine but I can not get the outgoing to work. The other is my school email which is some sort of msn email account variation (username@email.itt-tech.edu which i log into through msn.com). I cant get anything to work for this accuont.

I have synchronized my phone with my exchange server and appear to have lost most of my appointments, and some of the ones that I didn't loose have replicated themselves many times. Dec 17, 2012I have a co-worker who suddenly can not connect to her Exchange account via her phone. It mysteriously stopped syncing emails on Dec. 5, and since then the phone can not connect to the server. Error message reported is "Unable to connect to server." I even completely deleted the Exchange account from the phone and attempted to re-add it, but adding a new account failed with the same error message.
The weird thing is that the account worked perfectly fine before Dec. 5, and we can't think of anything that changed on the phone or on the server at that time. Meanwhile, other Android phones in our workplace continue to receive messages from the Exchange server, including my own Nexus 4 with the exact same server settings and another co-worker's Droid Razr.
The problem phone is a Samsung Galaxy S on US Cellular, running Android 2.3.6.

Jun 2, 2010I previously had my wireless working just fine at home but since I changed my subnet, (new dhcp and dns server installed), the wireless will no longer work. I went from 192.168.0.x to 192.168.10.x.
The wireless seems to connect but then when you browse it will not find anything. It is like it still has an old IP and doesn't know the new route and DG. I did "forget network" and reentered the key etc., but no success. Is there a way to investigate exactly what settings it has or reset everything so it has no idea about old network settings?

Sep 9, 2010I have a Samsung i7500 (Galaxy).Originally, it had Android 1.5 installed, but I could not enter the Google Market with my google account and got this message: "Can't establish a reliable data connection to the server".I read here and across the web I should Factory-reset my phone, but it did not work.So I upgraded the firmware to Android 2.1 using this guide: How to Mustymod It worked, and now the phone had Android 2.1 installed, but I still cannot access the Google Market with my Google account. This time I did a factory-reset (Settings -> Privacy -> Factory reset) and also followed this guide to delete the provider-settings (eventually I removed the whole /data/data/com.android.providers.settings/ directory and not only that file.

Jan 7, 2010I apologize if this is posted elsewhere but i searched the forum and couldnt find it. If it is, please just post the link to it and I will go there. I have heard great things about the K-9 Mail application but cant get it working...I have used the standard email app to connect to our corporate Exchange 2007 server without issue. It syncs, mail, contacts, calendar no problem. I walk through the K-9 Setup (i have tried the Market version as well as several BETA versions, doesn't seem to be a difference) and continually get Errors in the errors folder and nothing in the Inbox. I have tried several different options on the incoming mail setup information for the exhcange server info but nothing seems to work. I am wondering if there is a sample guide for setting up K-9 with Exchange?

When forwarding an email the recepient receives the forwarded email as a .eml attachment. Jun 12, 2010I got my HTC Incredible running 2.1 when it was first released, setup my Exchange ActiveSync account, and noticed that my only option under Mail Size Limit is to download Headers Only. This got annoying very quickly, as I have to click 'Get Remaining' on every single email, regardless of the size. I researched this issue when the phone first came out and came up with nothing on it, and two other guys at work with the Droid Eris on 1.5 don't have this issue, they get the full range of size options to download.
Fast forward to today, one of the guys with the Eris installed the update to Android 2.1, and now he has the exact same problem I do. When I saw his issue, I started to research it again now that a month or so has passed, but I still can't seem to find any documentation or reports of similar issues.
Anybody else see this behavior with 2.1 + Exchange? I can't see it being a problem server-side since it works under 1.5, but my phone can download the whole message if I setup a regular POP account.
HTC EVO 4G :: Problem With ActiveSync To Exchange Server
Jun 8, 2010I have twice (since Friday) encountered an ActiveSync error to my corporate exchange server that I've only been able to fix by deleting and recreating the ActiveSync profile. the problem manifests itself as a perpetual unsuccessful attempt to sync and occurs seemingly randomly. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. I've seen some threads referencing Touchdown but not sure this is the right solution for this problem on the EVO. Please don't tell me I need to go back to my Blackberry...Thanks!
