I'm not sure if anyone else has the same problem, but when I have my songs set to shuffle, the player will repeat a set of around 15-20 songs over and over again. I have about 300 songs on my device and I haven't even heard half of them. Is anyone having the same problem? How are people working around this?

Is there a way to shuffle the order of the songs in the music app. I don't want to play the standard list on "shuffle". I like to do this so that I can pick the order of songs but I don't want them in alphabetical order while I do it because its the same artist back to back all the time.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've tried out a few different music players, cubed, mixzing and the stock music player and I can't seem to figure out if there is any way for the apps to just mix up the order of my albums and play them like that. The shuffle features just mix up all the songs from all the albums, but I want to listen to a whole album at a time, just don't want to pick the order the albums come up in if that makes sense. Is there a way to do this with any music players?

I know my BBerry would advance songs by holding the "up" volume toggle for a few seconds but that doesnt seem to work. There has got to be a way that doesnt involve me unlocking my phone each time i dislike the song!

View 2 Replies View RelatedHas anyone noticed that the stock music player isn't very good at shuffling music? I have my playlist set up, and want it to shuffle while I'm listening at work. It will shuffle, but the problem is that it won't play all the songs on my playlist. I have about 500 on this particular playlist, and in an 8 hour day I will hear the same song 3 or 4 times. In the 3 weeks I've been using it at work, there are some songs that I have *NVER* had come up on the shuffle. I tried turning on just shuffle and not repeat, but same thing. Is there a fix for this, or does anyone have recommendations on a music player that I can download that is better?
** Clarificaion: By "recommendation" I mean more than "Get Product X, it's cool". Why is it "cool"? What makes it better than the other products?
Music player App that won't play the same track constantly in shuffle mode. Currently I'm using PowerAmp and on a playlist of over 1600 songs it wants to play the same 30-ish songs all day.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having issues with the music player, the music was crackling badly, I thought it was the headphones so I tried 3 different pairs and the same thing happened, it kept stuttering in the middle of songs. I am not at all happy about that. My mp3 player worked perfectly with the same music files, they are WMP files not mp3 because to me mp3 sounds compressed to shit. I said to because the sound quality blows away any mp3 player and when it isn't stalling and breaking up. I am considering flashing with Odin today and swapping it for number 3. I have not spilled anything on my phone or dropped it, I am so careful with it and I am curious if anyone else has this problem or does mine have a defect. I love this phone and really want to stick with it. I would like to use it for music because the sound when working is amazing. If it is a defect in my phone I will swap for another.

View 3 Replies View RelatedComing from a Iphone to the X the music player is a little lacking. Often I will go into a certain artist and want to play all the songs by that artist, or thumb through all their songs to find a certain one. On the stock music player on the X this seems hard to do (maybe I'm missing something).
if I pull up the music by artist and select a certain artist then it shows me all their albums (The iphone has the option at this point to select all albums and see all the songs of that artist in alphabetical order). The X doesn't give a option to select all albums at this point. If I go to artists and long press on a certain artist I can select play and it will start playing all that artists songs, then I can hit pause and go into the list from that point to see all the songs but they seem to be in a random order making it hard to find a specific song.
I've tried a couple other players and haven't been able to find one that functions like the Iphone, makes it hard to quickly find one song.
I have a few Greek songs that I would like to play on the Galaxy, but it really annoys me that the Greek song names don't show properly. Instead I get a bunch of question marks. The strange thing is that it reads one of the tags, but none of the rest.
View 16 Replies View Relatedso i added album art to most of the mp3s i've got on my galaxy and started the music player had to wait a while for the player to index all the files and i had to start playing a track from each of the albums for the cover art to update i later added a couple more albums to the phone (via usb) and the player had to index everything all over again, only this time it doesn't recognize a lot of the album art it did previously? what's up with that? i'm still on ig9; does it work better on newer firmware? (any word on when a new one is released? i5 is still the newest, right?)

I'm watching a movie in Merdian, I change my body position, the headphone jack moves around a bit, then, without any warning, the music player starts playing in the background! Right in the middle of my movie Anyone else seen this problem ? If my headphones are inserted, a small twist at the jack, and regardless of what I'm doing (browser, home screen ...etc) the music player starts up.

Motion of the headphone jack (e.g. while walking with phone in pocket) can be sufficient to trigger events that shut down music player or cause it to skip tracks. This is a major usability issue.
I'd like to disable those events or somehow configure the music player to be insensitive to them.
I can see the songs when I have my phone hooked up to the computer as a hard drive (on the SD card), yet those songs don't show up on the music player.
View 5 Replies View RelatedHave been using the HTC and Android music players on the Desire, both pretty decent and do the job. However when listening to a mixed album where the songs - despite being separate files - mix into each other, there's a small gap/delay as it stops playing one song and starts the other. The Android player's gap is shorter than the HTC version (which is a shame as I like the HTC's widget), but there's still a gap. Is there anything I can do to either widget so that there's no small delay? Or alternatively is there a music player out there that will play the songs with no gap?

Is anyone experiencing very slow load times when clicking to show Artists or Songs in the default music player? I have about 1800 songs, and when I click on either Artist, Album, or Song, it takes like 10 seconds to think about it and then finally pulls them up. They are stored on my 16GB SDHC card (Class 4). Any ideas or is it something I'll have to live with?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI like to put it on random and I have like 1600 songs. It plays a lot of songs more than once, does it not remember what it has played and what it has not? Very annoying to hear the same song again when I have so many. Another thing is when I have it on shuffle if it is playing for example a Eminem song, All it wants to play is Eminem songs for the next ten tracks or so until I keep skipping.

So, everything but about 3 (out of a few hundred, haha) songs is tagged properly and shows up under artist as one expects, sorts into the correct albums and all - but within albums the songs go alphabetically, rather than by track number.
Does anyone know how to make my songs actually show up in the correct album order instead of just alphabetical order? Kind of messes things up if you're trying to listen to a musical.
Does anyone else notice that when you shuffle songs on the droid music player...the same artists alternate. it really isn't a good shuffle. The player will play one artist, then another, then the 1st, then the 2nd.
View 3 Replies View RelatedNot sure who's using "3" by rockon, but I've just downloaded it lastnight to test it out and for some reason a few of my songs which were downloaded by limewire don't show up in the list of songs. does it have to do with the way they're saved in the music folder? because the songs that have their own folder in my music folder come up great but ones that i've ripped off cds or downloaded as one offs on limewire don't seem to show up in the list of songs available? If you do'nt get what i mean heres a visual.. all the songs with thier own folders can be found on the "3" app but the ones below that don't have a folder don't show up. Is there something i need to do with them? rename them in teh properties or something?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI uploaded 100 songs to my SD card from my PC. When I opened the music player app in the phone, it shows all 100 songs. So I opened up the songs list, picked a song and it played just fine. After the song I hit the forward button to play the next song (next song of the 100 that I had on there) and it played the same song again. So upon looking at the music player it now showed "1/1" at the top, instead of "1/100". It's like it's locked on that 1 song. If I go into the menu I can see all my songs, and I can choose/play them individually, but I can't have all 100 songs chosen, so that they'll just play one after the other. How do I make the music player show all 100 songs again? I just want to open up the music player, hit play, and sit back & enjoy the next 100 songs playing one after the other. I don't want to have to select each one individually to play. (Hopefully this wasn't too confusing).
View 5 Replies View RelatedI've bought a Milestone and after the first contact with him, copied some musics to a folder on SD card. The problem is: some songs does not appear on the player. Some musics do, some musics does not. I tried several players (Meridian, RockOn, TuneWiki) to see if this was an issue with the default player, but all of them showed the same problemI also thought that this could be a problem with the ID tags of the MP3 files that didn't show, so i checked every one with a MP3 tag editor and fixed some, but to no avail: the files still doesn't show on the list.Just one more detail: if I go to a file manager and "execute" the MP3 file, the music plays just correctly.Dows anyone has experienced some behavior like this, or I'm doing something wrong?Is there a way to add all files on a folder to a playlist without going one by one on a file manager?
View 5 Replies View RelatedMy music player is acts very strange, I had 30 songs on my desire and i have just added 9 more. Now all the songs have gone onto the memory card as i have checked on Astro file manager, I saved the songs into the same file as i did previously (My Documents - Music). When i open up music it displayer's 1/39 songs at the top but as i move along it skips a number a couple of times like 2/39 to 5/39 then 7/39 to 9/39 then 30/39 to 32/39 then 34/39 to 38/39, So it is only displaying 30/39 songs. Now i can see all the songs by clicking the bottom left in the music player (Three horizontal lines) then going to "songs" and say i select a song that isn't being displayed i click on it, it starts playing then i simply slide one song then if i slide back the song has dissapeared... for some reason i dont now why some songs are appearing and some arnt, What could be the problem?
