Jul 16, 2010I read that people moved Avatar from the microSD card to the internal memory so they can put in their 8GB microSD. How was this done?

Aug 25, 2010Every time I click on the Avatar icon it says "File Not Found". It happened recently, I had it for two days and it worked fine.I was looking up this problem on the internet and someone said a reason why its not there anymore is because when I connected my Vibrant to my computer via USB, I didn't disconnect my phone from the computer "safely" which might have corrupted some files which pretty much sounds exactly like my situation. I have a solution idea though I don't know if it would work. My brother has a Vibrant as well. I thought maybe I copy his Avatar movie file to my phone and maybe it would work?

Jul 20, 2010Initially all worked OK. But then after some installs from the Market i am not able to access any internal flash storages. Phone was not rooted.
Here are some facts:
- i see the drive letters assigned for both of them on PC but when you click Explore the message is "Please insert a disk into drive M: (or N or whatever)".
- They are shown as mounted on the phone . Dismount and mount again changes nothing
- the phone is recording photos/videos OK on internal memory means flash is working fine.
- SD card is perfectly working too. if you extract it and put into computer you can read/write it. On the cell you can play music from it etc no problems
- I restored everything with Factory Data Reset but things did not change
- Same story from another PC
- Samsung Kies shows the files in PC Windows Media Player which are on Vibrant's SD card but can not read/download them
Is this some driver problem ? Or flash memory is locked by Vibrant OS?
I suspect EasyTether or PDANet third party driver for Samsung phones is responsible.

Sep 30, 2010I flashed bionix 1.3 onto my bell vibrant, and everything seemed okay except for two (Big) things... One of which I've seen other people having troubles with, the other seems completely unique to me.
A) I have no 3g connection at all to any data whatsoever
B, and this is the one I'm completely pissed off about) I have no USB connection available to me. Whenever I plug in my phone to any usb, be it my laptop or even the wall charger... It shuts down and goes into a sort of sleep mode where it flashes between an empty gray battery and the "busy, loading" ring... Over and over. I can't turn it back on until I unplug it. So I can't flash the stock back onto it with odin because it doesn't connect to odin for more than 4 seconds before going into sleepytime mode. This happens when it's on, when it's in recovery mode, or download mode. ANY time I plug anything into the usb.
Oh, and also my clockwork isn't recognizing my internal /data/ so it can't mount it.. Am I boned?

Nov 9, 2010I had the Fascinate when it was first launched had some issues with it (probably just a bad phone) not wanting to risk it I exchanged it for a DX. Well long story short the locked bootloader is killing me. Didn't think it was going to bother me, but it does. So to the point. I didn't have the phone long enough to research the problem, but are any of you guys having problems with lack of internal memory? More specifically, after installing the lag fix. Maybe the original I installed was super huge, but it left me with hardly any memory for apps.

Oct 31, 2011I got my Samsung GT-I9003 4GB a month ago, and everything was working perfectly until 3 days ago. It starts showing an "Internal SD card unexpectedly removed" error whenever the phone goes standby, then it forces me to terminate processes one after another, and finally it shuts down. I hadn't done any kind of ROM flashing nor rooting the device until the problems arose, so I don't know where the problem comes from.
I've tried to re-flash froyo 2.2.1 in my device, but the problem keeps showing up.
I found in this forums this thread [URL] .... covering the possibility of swapping both internal memory and external SD. It works great, but I still had problems with the "external SD card" being "unexpectedly removed"...
It crossed my mind if it was possible to modify the vold.fstab file further to only detect the external SD card as the internal memory and ignore the internal memory, as if it wasn't even on the phone. I don't know if that's even possible (since I don't know much about file systems nor Android).

Aug 15, 2010Im on Galaxo 1.6.3.3 and have been facing this strange problem since a couple of days. Whenever I mount my internal 8 GB memory and try to copy files into it, the internal memory card automatically un-mounts by itself after a couple of seconds interrupting the file transfer.
This happens almost all the time.
I don't have any such issues with the external SD card.
Should reformatting the internal memory help?
Also, If I reformat the internal memory...I dont think the OS should be affected. I suppose the internal memory is just like a movable drive...with no OS files on it.

1. Editing Vold.Fstab file, but it's impossible because it will not show internal Mount Point.
2. Searched on Play Store and downloaded "External 2 Internal" app and i have installed it, then i have swapped memory, but internal and external shows same values...

Feb 8, 2012I have this strange memory problem on my Samsung Galaxy SII Last week I flashed CheckRom RevoHD on my cellphone and everything went well (Titanium Backup etc...)
This morning I downloaded and installed Omega Files (Omega Series ROM kitchen) on my cellphone after a few hours it switched off. And then it took like 10 minutes to switch back on as the screen was stuck on the splash screen.
I had like 500-600Mo of free memory out of 2Go for apps and now I only have 20Mo...
Is there any file manager (that sorts folders by size) out there so I can do so cleaning ?

Sep 14, 2010Prior to installing the external card - the folders app showed /sd. Which I assumed was the internal one. Then I insert the external one, reboot the phone, and tehre is no additional directory in the folder view. Why is this? Secondly, its a 16GB card. Its reported as 14.58GB. The format option is greyed out. Is it automatically mounted at power on? Ideally I want to know where I install things to know that they are on the external card.

May 7, 2010Recently my the screen stoped working on my phone so I pulled the battery to get it back working. After I put it back in the phone was completely reset, no contacts, no messages, no email, no downloads. I use google sync to recover all my contacts and such but when I cut the phone off and cut it back on again it is completely reset again and this trends continues time and time again. . and to make matters worse its saying that I have zero internal memory to install my apps again from the marketplace.

Oct 30, 2010Is anyone else experiencing problems downloading and running apps from the market due to low memory issues? Why did they only put 512MB of internal memory for app storage on this Epic when the AT&T galaxy version got 8GB of internal memory in addition to the 16GB micro Sd card???
My memory is full now, and without android 2.2 I can't move apps to the SD card. They should have provided all of their galaxy class phones with the 8GB internal memory.

Aug 17, 2010i was avaible to swap pictures, music and everything between the 2...but now i took out my memory card from my old hd2 and put it in(hence its 16gb, and i didnt even use my hd2 for a day it was given to me so it has nothing crazy on it) and now when i plug in my vibrant, it dosent read the card for some reason, removable drive pops up, but it wont access it, i also saw this happen with someone elses vibrant, any advice?...and oh yea, i do press mount on the usb thing on the vibrant screen.
