View 7 RepliesSprint Nextel Corporation - Investor Relations - RSS Content. Kudos to Sprint, this is coming just in time for the March Madness, which is great! I hope this has been tested for enough viewer capacity because it sure will be tested by every Sprint TV customer. I am watching Lafayette v. Lehigh game live. I can definitely wait for Sprint to prepare another app to replace NFL Mobile Live for before the Football games start. Hope this is the beginning for a long season of good news from Sprint, Android 2.1 should be around the corner.
View 14 Replies View RelatedOn my Samsung moment NFL mobile starts by itself (I see it in ATK-advance task killer). How can I stop it from starting at all? Or removing it? I never launch it or use it.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI switched to a Moment today and while setting things up Ive yet to locate where you disable "mobile versions" of websites. I had a Hero and there was a setting where you could disable the mobile view and see the natural version of a website.
View 3 Replies View Relatedwould someone please give me the full URL of the Sprint mobile webpage that usually starts up when you load the stock browser? On the rom on my rooted phone for some reason it is set to go to the us cellular page and I much preferred the sprint one.
View 1 Replies View RelatedToday I launched the sprint cup app and it said I needed an update. Then I proceeded to download and install the app. I told the phone to install from unknown sources, so that isn't the issue. Then when it went too install it still told me that this app could not be installed. I'm guessing since the way that sprint treats their apps they aren't able to be upgraded via the file from the memory card or something.
View 12 Replies View RelatedI tried to run the Sprint app for NFL mobile, but it says I need an upgrade. It then downloads an application from a site I don't know. When I tried to launch it (I know, don't launch unknown things), it blocks the installation because I'm still set to the Sprint/default setting of only allowing applications from the Android Market.Has anyone else tried this or have any concerns? It seems a little odd to me. On my previous phones, Sprint upgraded their apps and I had to install everything from them. Since this phone uses the Market, it's obviously a change in procedure.
Should I change the setting to do this one install, and then go back? Or should there be some other approved way for Sprint to distribute updates to their own apps?
Does anyone know how to completely disable the mobile network on the Moment? I need to so I can use it for my Battle.net mobile authenticator while I am using my fiance's new Samsung Reclaim for a month (to get the upgrade price on it) and she has my Hero. Basically, anytime I need data on it, I want to use WiFi but if I leave it on it can and will probably mess up calls on the Hero. My Hero has a nice little check box to disable the mobile network, but the Moment doesn't.
View 2 Replies View Relatedanyone else having this problem? using 2.1 under caulkin's kernel. it seems like I can kind of overload the phone doing too much and the mobile network connection on my phone will disappear completely. this is while downloading something that may download too fast, sometimes it happens loading .GIF images too. I'll have to restart the phone to get the internet back. this happens no matter if I'm using wireless, USB or bluetooth tethering.
View 5 Replies View RelatedJust bought this sprint samsung moment a few weeks ago, and I was wondering why I can't upload mobile pics from my phone to facebook. I have the facebook app on my phone and it does not seem to let me upload mobile pic's. In order for me to upload pic's I have to go to the mobile version of facebook and upload the pic via some email wich then post the pic for u, but the problem is it seems to post my pic's side ways.
I know lots of folks with other phones some of them crappy that just click on the photo and select upload to facebook....why can't I do that on this phone? Why does this phone not give me the option to upload from the pic? Why does the facebook app FOR android not let me upload photo's?
Is there a program or something that will back up contacts like dashwire does for windows mobile? Basically on dashwire you would install it, it would sync and upload your contacts....then if you ever had to reset the phone, reinstall the program and all your contacts are downloaded to your phone.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAndroid Version: 2.2 T-Mobile branded
Network: Base - a brand of e-plus, Germany
Taskiller Used: None
Issue: Switch on tethering OR mobile hotspot ->mobile network dies
I've installed Froyo on a T-Mobile branded Desire. After the update, turning on USB tethering leads to immediate loss of mobile network - it just turns itself off. Same goes for the mobile Wifi hotspot: turn on -> for 2 seconds, it's working -> mobile network drops off. Moving into airplane mode and back brings back the network, but tethering is a goner. With 2.1, USB tethering had worked. I'm on Base, a brand of e-plus. I've talked to their customer services, they say Base absolutely supports tethering.
Can Skype be used to make a mobile to mobile (cell to cell) call if both phones are running Skype without using Verizon minutes?

View 2 Replies View RelatedRecently I logged into GMail with my browser instead of the GMail app, and discovered what I've read before elsewhere... that the GMail mobile web page seems cooler and better, than the app.
So, I've been thinking... which is better? Is either better? Can they both be equally good?
Either way, it occurred to me, it's interesting that all the Android blogs fall all over themselves almost weekly to come out with various "Best X Android Apps" articles, but I don't think I've seen any articles about the best mobile web pages for Android (or any smart phone for that matter).
I understand the money is to be made in apps, and that not much can (yet) be done with the web that you can do with an app (until we have workable Flash?) but surely there must be some great mobile sites out there that are better than, or equal to, apps?
I'm appealing to all of you then to make your suggestions for Best or at least good mobile web pages to use on our Android phones. I'll be looking around myself, and will possibly turn the results into a blog post of my own.
Here are a couple of starters that seem to be better than the app versions:
- Gmail: nicer interface, quick access to GTalk and Buzz as well as Calender, etc.
- Evernote: www.evernote.com/m Evernote has a really good mobile web site in case you don't want to download the app.
I have been trying to find a way of quickly switching off/on the Mobile Network setting from the home screen. When searching Google there's loads of pages stating that it is an HTC Widget that can be added. I have checked all the widgets on the Desire HD and cannot seem to find it anywhere. I am using an unbranded handset.
The Desire HD manual even states "You can also add widgets that allow you to quickly switch on or off certain settings of your phone, such as Wi-Fi, Mobile Network...".
Does anyone else with an HD handset have this widget ?
Has anyone else tried this? Thought I'd add sky sports bundle. First try just said payment pending. Phoned T-Mobile, woman asked technical and came back to say it wasn't supported anymore and I couldn't get it. However, just tried now and its working but only on 3g and not WiFi.Thinking it's because my broadband WiFi is blocking access as it is o2.
View 6 Replies View RelatedWell I guess everyone has heard that NFL Mobile is exclusively being launched on Big Red's network since Verizon was the highest bidder.
The app comes complete with 24/7 live streaming of NFL Network to include 8 Thursday night games and 17 NBC Sunday Night games, live streaming video of the draft event, on-demand video analysis from NFL Network, a pick-by-pick draft tracker, and other content.
Unfortunately this app is only available to Verizon customers ... until now.
If you search "NFL Mobile app XDA" there should be a version that works for the BH2
Now you can root for your favorite team via Android.
Anyone else try this? It's actually pretty good. I'm not sure it's worth $10 a month. I hadn't seen it mentioned on here yet.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI quickly glanced at those forums, but didn't spend a whole lot of time reading. It seems some people had issues with defective phones that needed replacing, sometimes multiple times. I don't see that as ultimately a problem with the phone though, such as a design flaw that can't be fixed without more R&D.From time to time I see people posting something along the lines of "I'll never buy another Samsung product again" due to lack of support issues, or whatever, on some of the newer phone models. Personally, I had an i730 and it was the best phone you could get during its time.Has anyone closely followed what the AT&T and T Mobile Galaxy S owners are saying? The main gripe I've heard is that there's a GPS software issue for some users, but there's supposed to be a workaround, and supposedly a fix in an update.
View 17 Replies View RelatedI am a little more than one year into my two year contract on T-Mobile with my aging G1. T-Mobile says I can get the Vibrant (Galaxy S) ("plus upgrade fee").I desperately want a faster CPU and a true Android 2.x phone, but I don't know. I almost feel like paying the early termination fee and going for an EVO with Sprint.Seems every option has downsides...
* I've heard Samsung build quality is not the best, and the Galaxy S looks a bit too much like an old iPhone
* The EVO is supposed to not have great battery life
* AT&T cripples their Android devices
* Verizon has the highest monthly fees
I don't know much about flashing ROMs and custom ROMs.
I am having Byond B67 phone.
What I want do is, install the any samsung or htc rom or other custom rom on this phone.
Now, I don't know whether I can do it or Not?
And if I can, how it is to be done?

I have previously used VcardIo to do this with no problems. However when I take the file into the Galaxy S it shows as being 0 k. Though it is on on the G2. I have tried various programs on Market but the all seem to do the same.
