I've had my Moment for about 3 weeks now and haven't had any problems. Today, all of a sudden, it keeps rebooting itself! Every few minutes, whether I'm doing something on it or not! What's going on!??!

Recently my phone has started to shutdown, restart on its own. Constantly. And I do mean constantly. Several times. Over and over. And over again.
If I go ahead and reset to the factory settings with the CL14 update still be on my phone or do I need to redo that part again? Resetting is about the only thing I can think of or taking it into the store.
At least once a day, when someone calls me or I call someone else, I can't hear anything, even the dialing. When I call back, sometimes it sounds like I got some completely different person. The third time, it usually connects properly. This started before I installed the last 2 updates. Anyone have this problem or know how to fix it?
My partner's phone has started rebooting randomly about every other day. This started with the most recent update. Common side effect of the update? Is there any fix?

View 1 Replies View Relatedi am facing is that when i power on my mobile [Its HTM H10 MTK6572 running stock rom 4.2.2], Boot animation appears and just after that, lockscreen comes for a sec. and then again it reboots and same thing happens! I don't know what is the cause.
By the way, It is not rooted now as it was before. Before this happened, I only updated SuperSU and nothing. The worst thing is that i can't access settings from app drawer and usb debugging got disabled itself (yes, i had it enabled.). Good thing? I can access recovery mode (stock).

I got a samsung fascinate last month and have been doing nothing but soaking up information since then.
Well, My mom has had a Moment for some time now. After looking at it today the first thing I noticed that its really slow and constantly force closes. She doesn't know anything about the phone other than its really slow lol.
It appears to of been rooted (I think my cousin rooted it for her) so I guess I need to know what steps I need to take to speed it up and to get it to stop force closing. LMK if I need to provide any more info,

I have the Samsung Galaxy i7500. and lately it's been making me want to throw it into a wood chipper. I've upgraded the firmware to 1.6 and everything was fine. then a few months later it started to randomly reboot. Usually it happens while i'm trying to use the phone. IE: youtube, maps. during a call. etc. It'll be working then the screen goes blank. and GALAXY shows. then it'll being to boot as usual. This keeps happening! I've tried a hard reset and installed only minimal apps and added my contacts. and It still tends to reboot!
I have no idea whats happening. do you think it's the OS or something, or something hardware related?
I got the phone brand new in an unopened box from ebay. so I dont believe i have any kind of insurance or anything...
I'm an Android nob and I got my Captivate today. I am also kind of a computer nob so bear with me. I downloaded the correct drivers (I think). I am following instructions from this page Captivate Root I renamed the file update.zip and everything. When I rebooting my phone and select reinstall packages I get an error that says it could not be found or something similar. I can't remember. Can someone tell me whats causing this problem?

Not only that, but when I try to use Maps, it always says "Location Unavailable" when I try to get My Location. I have restarted the phone to no avail. Any ideas? Any app that will track what app might be using the GPS? I'm an Android newbie (as of getting the phone yesterday), so please keep that in mind

View 2 Replies View Relatedjust got off the phone with a senior tech support at Verizon regarding my phone rebooting randomly. He told me that they are aware of this to be happening in certain area and they should have an update to resolve this.
this is a replacement phone cause my first phone did this, and so I called again cause of this problem but this time they instructed me to wait it out until the fix which should be within a week (as he says).....
I don't know if many are having this problem....but I just wanted to let those that are having this problem to wait it out and see.....
I haven't been able to put my screen protector on cause I didn't know if I had to replace the phone or not.....so being extra careful.
phone keeps rebooting, possible fix is disabling Verizon Backup Assistant. if i go into running processes and stop this app it appears the rebooting stops, but if the phone is reset it does not stay disabled i have to go back in and stop it again. can this be done? i dont like to use app killers but will it work?
View 4 Replies View RelatedSince we got the phones mine has been fine and my wife has had nothing but trouble. Her phone reboots all the time and freezes. We finally went to the Sprint store Friday and they determined hers was bad and sent her a new(refurb). We received it last night. We activate the new one and this one is worse. She has had it reboot 3 times today alone. It also keeps freezing on her.
Another strange issue the new phone is having is when she clicks on an email in the Gmail app the screen flashes like it is going to open the email and it just goes right back to the inbox.
Did she get 2 bad phones ? Now we have to go back to the Sprint store again. She also only receives one out of every three of my text messages.
So recently my Epic 4g is "unrecognized" whenever I plug it into any of my computers. I've tried rebooting and everything. I downloaded and installed the lastest USB drivers from Samsung and they don't work either. I really need to put stuff on my SD!

This causes my phone to get very warm and the battery to lose about 1% per minute. In order to get it to stop I have to reboot. I can't figure out what is causing this issue. My Milestone (as the droid is called here in Europe) has auto-rebooted twice in 4 days for no apparent reason. I'm taking into consideration returing it, since i've had it for 5 days or so. 2 reboots (for what I know of, at least, coz maybe it happened at night also i don't know) in 5 days in a new phone makes me think the problem can get worse over time.

I left it all of today to see if it would get any better, but it didn't, so I took the battery out and put it back in. View 2 Replies View RelatedEver since the 2.2 update, or downgrade as I now call it, my phone has been freezing nonstop. I have no clue what's going on. I have very few apps. The only reason I got this phone was because I'd thought it would be better than my old Samsung Instinct, which also constantly experienced freezes.
Here's an in depth look:
Press top button, slide down to unlock but no response.
Home screen, will not respond to touch.
Placing a call to someone, and before they answer, another call will come in completely freezing my phone, hard reset required.
The only reason I switched from the instinct is because I was sick of the freezes. And this phone hadn't done it before the update. Now, since my 30 day return is over, and the update came after the 30 grace period, I'm stuck with this POS phone.
Do you guys have any clue about this?
If not, looks like I'm switching from sprint after my 12 year run with them.
Phone has been overheating all morning. From 8am to 12:40pm until I plugged it on the charger. Now its just warm. The battery completely drained and I never even had any apps running. I used the app killer to make sure I wasn't running anything. I barely used the phone this morning except for three text messages and sent an email. I just got a new battery sent from Verizon, I don't understand why it spazzed out on me.

Very annoying, I have to keep turning the phone on all the time. No its not low batteries, I'm not that stupid. Haven't messed around with the phone at all, firmware or rooting or anything like that.
If their are other threads regarding Android crashing on a minute by minute basis can someone please link. And when I say minute by minute, sometimes it is that bad.
And from what I have seen in other postings; I do appreciate friendly helpful people, however, please save the "Welcome" posts for other people, I just want to get down to business
