Iv installed leedroid.....had a few problems installing it and sorting the sd card for a2sd+ but now the phone reboots all the time and sometimes it stalls on the white htc screen....happens mostly when chargeing but also when in use.

Now following the nandroid backup my desire just keeps rebooted? I've read that restoring the nandroid cures the loop, so its restoring as we speak. Please tell me this is a normal occurance.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI took my phone out of sleep mode to respond to a text message, only to find I couldn't get the keyboard into landscape mode. I then found that the trackball wasn't working, and the phone seemed as if it was moving through puddy. When I tried putting it to sleep, the screen would dim but not go black. I eventually had to remove the battery to resolve the issue. The next day, the same thing happened.
Both times, the issue happened at around 8 o'clock. I thought thru what apps I had downloaded recently, and looked through Astrid To-Do. I found it had scheduled back-ups at 8 o'clock. I turned that off, hoping that it would fix my problems. The next day, at 8 o'clock, my phone randomly restarted. That was all. No overheating, no hanging, and it booted up just fine. The next day, it rebooted again, but I don't know if it was around 8 o'clock. Today, just about an hour ago at 2:30, it rebooted again, with no overheating or any other problems.
I'm at a loss about what could be causing this. I uninstalled Astrid To-Do app completely now, but I'll have to wait to make sure that fixed anything. I have about 7 days left before my 30 day return policy kicks in, but I moved to Boston from Iowa to go to college, and I would have to mail it back, which I would prefer not to do (cost and time without a phone being the major issues).

I would like the phone to alert me approx every 5 minutes that there is an unread text. My phone alerts that I have a new text but I also want it to alert me again if I don't hear the first alert. Is there a way to do this?

It won't boot beyond the red circle, and although it will load into the bootloader it won't go into recovery after that. Now obviously I'll be sending back for repair but what are the chances (given that it won't boot at all now) that they'll know the phone has been rooted and refuse to fix it?

If I leave it as it is without entering my PIN it popups messages for broken apps that failed to start.I decided to do the wipe user data (panic) from recovery console, but now after reboot I can only see the flashing word ANDROID on a black background.I was using the OTA stock rom but rooted with unrevoked 3.21. I used the framework apk from /system/ at UOT kitchen.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have an unbranded unaltered HTC Desire Android Version 2.2 baseband Version 32.43.00.32U_5.09.00.20 Kernel Version 2.6.32.15-gf9c0527 htc-kernel@and18-2 #1 Build number 2.09.405.8 CL218634 release-keys Software number 2.09.405.8 Where do I start, bought it from CPW in May, no issues, no problems no reboots. Upgraded to Froyo last week and its doing my head in. I use the Google Navigation a lot, problem is now it keeps rebooting. Today I entered an address and it gained then lost GPS reception, took ages to get it back, then when it did it only lasted a few minutes then rebooted the Desire. I restarted navigation and it may pick up GPS then few seconds later reboot itself again, drove me nuts, to the point where I gave up and used OVI maps on my Nokia. On the way home 120 mile journey, entered the address and navigation was ok for about 20 minutes then it kept rebooting. Occasionally it would navigate for a couple of minutes then reboot itself, this again drove me nuts.
I then tried to eliminate possibilities and drove 1 hour with the Desire and Google maps on, but not navigating i.e just showing my movement on the road, I kept scrolling the screen to make sure the arrow was always shown, it worked faultless, no reboots data was downloading ok to form the route maps. I then put the navigation back on, and low and behold started rebooting and loosing GPS reception. This is driving me mad, as I need the navigation, everything else works ok with no issues. Is anyone else having any problems? HTC deny there is any known faults on the Desire, I am not going to put up with this, it is not fit for purpose. I think it must be software not hardware, but I am not sure, any help advice gratefully received.
I keep having to input CAPCHA.My phone frequently has a pop-up box that stops me from doing anything. It says "Google Sign-in" and it has the CATCHA box.I have a HTC EVO 4G, with an aftermarket battery. I am on wifi a lot as I live in an area with a lot of free wifi and I have wifi at home and at my girlfriend's house. I have had Android since the Dev G1, but never had this with the G1.The problem is, I have to enter it several times a day, and it only seems to pop up when I try to do something, like answer the phone or type a text message. Since I have no keyboard, these arbitrary sequences of letters are a real pain. About half the time it makes me enter two sequences of letters-I do not know if that means I did the first set wrong or what, but I have to do CAPTCHA every day.

just got off the phone with a senior tech support at Verizon regarding my phone rebooting randomly. He told me that they are aware of this to be happening in certain area and they should have an update to resolve this.
this is a replacement phone cause my first phone did this, and so I called again cause of this problem but this time they instructed me to wait it out until the fix which should be within a week (as he says).....
I don't know if many are having this problem....but I just wanted to let those that are having this problem to wait it out and see.....
I haven't been able to put my screen protector on cause I didn't know if I had to replace the phone or not.....so being extra careful.
phone keeps rebooting, possible fix is disabling Verizon Backup Assistant. if i go into running processes and stop this app it appears the rebooting stops, but if the phone is reset it does not stay disabled i have to go back in and stop it again. can this be done? i dont like to use app killers but will it work?
View 4 Replies View RelatedSince we got the phones mine has been fine and my wife has had nothing but trouble. Her phone reboots all the time and freezes. We finally went to the Sprint store Friday and they determined hers was bad and sent her a new(refurb). We received it last night. We activate the new one and this one is worse. She has had it reboot 3 times today alone. It also keeps freezing on her.
Another strange issue the new phone is having is when she clicks on an email in the Gmail app the screen flashes like it is going to open the email and it just goes right back to the inbox.
Did she get 2 bad phones ? Now we have to go back to the Sprint store again. She also only receives one out of every three of my text messages.
I'm on Aloysius v6 and just flashed the 2.41.00.03.10-eris.zip radio update. Ever since then when I connect to my computer with the USB cord, it constantly reboots.

My Milestone (as the droid is called here in Europe) has auto-rebooted twice in 4 days for no apparent reason. I'm taking into consideration returing it, since i've had it for 5 days or so. 2 reboots (for what I know of, at least, coz maybe it happened at night also i don't know) in 5 days in a new phone makes me think the problem can get worse over time.

I have the Samsung Galaxy i7500. and lately it's been making me want to throw it into a wood chipper. I've upgraded the firmware to 1.6 and everything was fine. then a few months later it started to randomly reboot. Usually it happens while i'm trying to use the phone. IE: youtube, maps. during a call. etc. It'll be working then the screen goes blank. and GALAXY shows. then it'll being to boot as usual. This keeps happening! I've tried a hard reset and installed only minimal apps and added my contacts. and It still tends to reboot!
I have no idea whats happening. do you think it's the OS or something, or something hardware related?
I got the phone brand new in an unopened box from ebay. so I dont believe i have any kind of insurance or anything...
Recently my phone has started to shutdown, restart on its own. Constantly. And I do mean constantly. Several times. Over and over. And over again.
If I go ahead and reset to the factory settings with the CL14 update still be on my phone or do I need to redo that part again? Resetting is about the only thing I can think of or taking it into the store.
Ok I dont know whats going on but one day I was opening an MMS a friend sent me and my phone kept getting force closes. So I did a batter pull tried to start the phone and it just kept going in a cycle of endless reboots. Now I have the Frankenrom b6 rom. A rom which up and till this point worked so well I didn't care about getting the stock OTA. So what happened?

I am following instructions from this page Captivate Root I renamed the file update.zip and everything. It happened three times today, and I was ready to throw my phone out the car window. It's happened on and off since I got the phone 2 months ago. I hoped it would go away after I updated to 2.1, but no dice. My wife, who doesn't use the phone as heavily, doesn't have these problems. Some days (like today) it seems worse than others. i rooted my phone around a couple weeks ago, and have been trying different types of roms. Today i decided to switch to the fresh2.0d rom and so i placed the zip folder in the root of the sd card. i booted in recovery and selected flash from zip. Once complete, my phone keeps rebooting at the "HTC Quietly brilliant" screen. It does it over and over again. i tried reflashing, taking out the battery and nothing happens. I cant connect to the computer and have no idea what to do.

When I call back, sometimes it sounds like I got some completely different person. The third time, it usually connects properly. This started before I installed the last 2 updates. About two hours ago, I noticed my Droid was hot in its case. I took it out and noticed that it was constantly rebooting on about a two minute cycle. Tried to boot it up in safe mode (successfully) but it still rebooted. I managed to keep it running long enough to uninstall an app I had loaded today, but still no luck. Constant reboot.
