I don't mean the screen. I mean the dirt and dust that gets in between the cracks and in the keyboard.
I've also been noticing the speakers getting dust in them too. and blowing on it does not make it completely go away but only makes you look like an idiot when doing so in public

Is there any method to clean it without messing up the phone? If it involves buying some sort of cleaning solution, please suggest something I will use for other purposes other than this one issue.

It sometimes misses the first letter and always capitalize the first 2 letters typed. Its more of an annoyance. but I was wondering, if there was any way to obtain a backup of swype, I see that there are all these modded swype themes out there, there must be a way to convert back to stock.

Like with the Hero we had to install Handcent and disable the standard sms to stop it from draining the battery. Is there anything like that you recommend to be done?

I would love to try out the Samsung Moment, but don't have the $$ to just go out and buy one.My hero comes with all it had when new, plus I have an extra battery for it I will add to the deal. This hero has only been used for about a week, and while using it, it "lived" in my Blackberry Tour holster to give it maximum protection. There are no scratches or rub marks on it, never been dropped and I have reset it to Factory Specs via the SECURITY MENU and the ESN is clear and ready to be activated on your SPRINT account.Please email me at sy@rayzel.com if you are interested. What is the best file manager to use to access the phone memory and see where the issue is, and allow me to delete it myself?
Pretty much ever since I flashed over to 2.1 I don't receive any of my emails anymore. The only ones I do get are my work ones and that's connected directly to the Exchange server. I have a total of 4 emails being sent to my phone, My gmail, Hotmail, and 2 from my website exile-designs.com. I have the settings to check every 15 minutes but I never get any. Anyone have any idea's on this? I know the settings are right for sure on my Hotmail because I can pull that one up and see my old email's sitting in my inbox. The other 3 accounts should all be fine as well.
View 9 Replies View RelatedAnyone in the Central FL area that would be willing to help me root this phone? I just got my moment 2 weeks ago. I tried rooting it today by following what seemed to be fairly simple instructions but when I went to do the recovery part, I got this message..."Samsung PST MFC Application has stopped working". I tried going thru the whole process again while phone was still plugged in but I kept getting same msg. When I unplugged it and tried turning it on, all I would get was a pic of a phone, a question mark, and a computer. I had to hard boot it. Once I did that, it was on the 1.5 version. I had to take it to the fix it shop to get the upgrade and my contacts back. I'm very scared to even try this again myself but I want it rooted so bad! I want to be able to use it as a modem for my laptop.

It seems to be a phone-side problem, because it is only rectified when I reboot the phone, but not the PC. The last time it happened was after an incoming call disrupted my PDANet connection. When I hung up, the USB icon was gone, and I had to reboot.

If I go ahead and reset to the factory settings with the CL14 update still be on my phone or do I need to redo that part again? Resetting is about the only thing I can think of or taking it into the store.
Does anyone know how to fix this? It'll come on and just stay at the Samsung logo screen. It's not frozen because the logo is glowing on and off. But it never gets past that screen!

I just want version 1.6 on the moment so I can get the WGN Radio app. The phone says it's running firmware version 1.5, and I get a "cannot connect" message when I try to update firmware, so what do I do? Am I stuck with 1.5 until 2.1 comes out, or is there a way to get 1.6?
