I buy cable for tv out for my galaxy s i9000 bet it was not working just big noise and i could see something on tv from my phone but almost nothing it was really bad then i desided to buy samsung cable from ebay original for this phone but it was the same, and couple of my friends have the same problems so what we are doing wrong.

View 3 Replies View RelatedHas anyone else noticed that on the Galaxy S, the Wifi will stop to respond after a few disconnects? I usually have wifi off to save battery, but now and then some application will turn it on and after I stop it (either using the message bar or settings) the wifi stops working. Under settings it will be greyed out and say something like "Shutting down..." but you cannot click it again, turn it on or anything else. A reboot works but thats kind of annoying.

Looks like my accelerometer is broken. I've checked the orientation flag and it is on. As a test tried compass and krazy Kart racing- both not working.
What I think happened is that I used the new Google maps today- and the phone got really hot. Suspect I've cooked it.
Battery pull as well as power off -no joy. Is a factory reset worth trying?

I tested it and it works - i can run opengl games fluently on my samsung galaxy now.
For those of you who can't read German: you can get opengl hardware acceleration working on the samsung galaxy on II5 and probably any other version by copying the libhgl.so from a htc G1 device.
Unfortunately the only way to legally do this is probably by owning a HTC device, but there are some HTC system/recovery images available for download, from the HTC website. Be sure to download the OTA image as it contains the files directly and you can just copy the libhgl.so file directly.
Root your phone, remount the /system filesystem as read/write, then copy the HTC libhgl.so to /system/lib/libhgl.so . Reboot phone.
Now you'll have openGL hardware acceleration!
had the phone for 2 weeks now no problems, last night my battery was drained fully so i charged it fully. now swipe isnt working. when i press the swipe button (the option button at the bottom left) it freezes and force closes. tried rebooting and no luck. i can see the blue line when i swipe but no letters pop up

Today I realized that my GPS isn't working. My phone is samsung galaxy s3 mini (gt-i8190). i think it is because of gps conference. I found it in a diffuculty and i put it here:

i just want to know where the hell am I via gps. but the gps circle on the notif bar is winking consistently. i tried almost everything such as Faster fix, gps aids, gps doctor, gps surgeon etc but no success.
I'm considering getting the Galaxy S, but the only drawback I can see right now if the absence of a flash for the camera. I know flashes on camera phones aren't all that great, but they do help in many situations. I read in a couple places that this phone has a night mode negating the need for the flash. So far I have not been able to find any sample photos taken in low light conditions, say a portrait of friends in a dark restaurant, or at a party. Can those of you who have the phone post some sample shots in these conditions?

I bought it in Norway and when I arrived in the Philippines I ask help to the samsung customer service if they can upgrade my android.. Before the upgrade my phone works really good but after they upgraded the android from 1.6 to 2.1 ,my phones ruined or it is not working good.I cant download any application rom the market because i dont have enough phone memory and everytime i restart my phone all the contacts will gone and my the setting that i want it will turn it back to a normal settings..So everytime restarted it i will set the settings again..I ask help and consult it again to the man who upgrade my phone.He said he cant fix it because she dont know about that kind of problem.There is a lot of people dont have any problem after they upgrade but in my case why i have this kind of problem.

I grabbed a theme from this site (which has a GREAT tutorial by the way), but whenever i try to install one, my phone will not boot following the update. I get a similar thing to if you have not restored GAPPS where the screen will just sit on the boot screen but go no further. I tried restoring GAPPS to see if that was somehow the issue, but not luck.

I want to test if my 3g is actually working or not. I used to use the 3G internet on the phone until I changed plan without mobile internet and now I've changed back. The problem is there is no 3G connection now.
I've been onto my network's forums and followed their instructions for setting up APN's etc. and the settings are perfect (even though I never changed them since the last time it worked) So my question is that is there some way to test if your 3G hardware is actually functioning?
im having a problem with my samsung galaxy s advance. Few weeks ago i spilled some pepsi over my phone. I dried it and everything was working fine. 3 days ago, my speaker stopped working. I reflashed my firmware and it worked for about 5 seconds and then it made cracking sound and would not work. I noticed that, if i suck air from the speaker with my mouth(sometimes i can just put my mouth over it) it would work for 5-30 seconds. But as soon as i remove my mouth it stops working.

I've used SMS Popup on my previous phones in conjunction with Handcent SMS with no problem. I'm frustrated because I can't figure out why NONE of the apps, SMS 7, Popup Notifier, or SMS Popup, will work. And when I say doesn't work I mean I can open the app and change the settings, but nothing ever happens when I get a text - no popup, no notification, no sound, no LED light. When i got home I was excited to test out all the cool features advertised in the comercials, to my horror, none of them worked. palm screenshot, video while texting, and i cant find the driving mode or s-voice. After that, my mobile restarted and now the whole system isnīt working. There always appers an error message that process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly. Normaly( when I bought this phone ) I was able to tap to Wait, but now there is no way to do it. Now I can only tap to close but then it cuttes all my conections. This wouldnīt be the problem if it appeared only one time, but THE ERROR MESSAGE APPEARS EVERY 5 SECONDS.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter upgrading to Froyo 2.2, Swype started to behave strangely. I noticed that with Froyo 2.2, Swype also got a newer version. However, the performance is much worst when compared to the previous version. Here is the summary of the issues which i noticed:
1. Incorrect word recognition. 30%-40% increase in incorrect recognition
2. Much higher CPU usage (hence battery drain)
3. Very bad performance in portrait mode as compared to landscape mode
I got a new I7500 and wants to experiment with this. I could not get the adb working with this phone. The samsung software does not solve the adb issue. How can I get I7500 detected by Windows Vista as ADB device?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Samsung Galaxy s3 and i am banging my head against the wall because Play store won't open or do anything when connected to my wifi. it is however functional when wifi is turned off and only mobile data is active. Things i've tried (and still not working)
1. Cleared cache and data for Play store, google services, download manager and download.
2. uninstalled updates
3. Have tried seeing if anything has disabled and it hasn't, the last app on my 'all' is you tube
4. reset my phone to factory settings.
I feel like a pleb as I had this problem when I first got the phone but the clearing cache and data worked then and was fine for weeks but now nothing seems to work.
I have a samsung galaxy grand and I so like it but I am quite disappointed as some of its features aren't working. For instance, the automatic feature for making calls. The instruction says that if you put the device on your ear, it will automatically prompt you to contacts where you can make calls.
