View 1 Replies View RelatedI have VillainROM 12 installed on my Hero and have been playing around with various themes from the standard Sense UI to things like dxtop. I do want to try out the stock Android UI which I believe is accomplished by just going into Applications>Manage Applications>HTC Sense and selecting clear defaults thus setting it to stock Android. Thing is that in my install of VillainROM 12 the "clear defaults" button is greyed out and unavailable to be pressed. Is this an intentional thing in VR12 or am I maybe going to have to re-flash in order to achieve this?

View 1 Replies View RelatedHow to disable the baked-in power saver feature in some Samsung Android phones? the one that dims the screen, turns off the keyboard backlight, and doesn't let you use the camera once you hit 15%(or 10%) battery left? can't stand that, for my own needs anyway!
i figure it might be an edit to the kernel source code, or something like that. i just don't know where to do that. I know it can be done tho, because i remember having some ROMs on the Epic 4G that had that junk disabled. guess i'll also see if some of those old devs. are still around.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have searched high and low with no answer to this. I like the stock music player on the Galaxy S and want to use it but my playlists do not show up in the playlist tab. I do not want to re-create my playlists on the phone. I have used mixzing which is great and shows my playlists imported using salling media sync or ones added to the /playlist directory but I am happy with the stock player, but I can not find where or how it reads playlists or if it is some special format? I guess there is a way around it by viewing the recently added playlist and just create a playlist from there, but any help with this would be great.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there a better video player application which is free in the android market? The thing i dont like about the stock video player is that it doesnt sort my movies and videos. For example, i made folders for my series and my movies. after it scans for media, it shows ALL my videos in bulk... not grouped by types. I used the gallery application and the Gallery app does a better job...but is there a free application that sorts out movies as as good as itunes for the iphone?btw, this is not a major issue and it is less than a minor inconvenience Im still very much happy with my phone
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have Samsung GT-P6800, that is 7.7 tab, actually, some days ago, it has developed the bootloop problem, I decided to load custom recovery and take the backup of the data, because I can't able to lose the data as the data is very much important that is stored on the tab, but when I load the Odin V3.70 & V1.85 and in the PDA section I load the .tar file of TWRP 2.6.3.0 recovery, and flash then I got the success & pass message in the Odin, but when I restart the tab in the recovery mode, I again go in to the Default stock recovery that is e3 Android System Recovery, I don't know why this is happening, as I have tried many versions of Odin as well as twrp and cwm recovery, but whenever I go in the recovery mode, I found the stock recovery loading(e3).
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a device here that's not running well on 4.2.2. If I back it up using KIES will it be possible to install the older 4.1.2 Rom and then install the backup I previously made? Where to get a stock 4.1.2 Rom for a Samsung Galaxy S2 Plus?
I need a stock recovery for Metro PCS Samsung Galaxy S3 (SGH-T999N)...I installed clockworkmod recovery onto my phone and didn't realize It wasn't going to be easy to remove it im trying to revert back so I can receive ota updates on my phone. Next month I heard talk about samsung releasing the kit kat update 4.4 to this phone correct. I would love to revert back so I can receive it inless you know of other ways of getting it other than installing custom roms....witch im not comfortable doing....I already messed up my phone in the process of rooting doing the ad block app....which then when I uninstalled it. I couldn't connect to the google servers.....so I had to go back and edit the host file and got it working finally but now I just want to remove this recovery..I want to update my rom I know people say do complete wipe and install the stock rom and that should remove it but I'm iffy on the subject because I don't want to brick my device if it doesn't agree with something. I'm not all that new to rooting I had a coolpad quattro which I rooted in the past phone btw don't ever buy it. As well as my first galaxy 1 from verizon and a galaxy aspire. but im having problems trying to understand and avoid bricking my device because I haven't even finished paying it off and it's 400 dollar device plus interest...
View 7 Replies View Relatedsource for a 'stock ROM' for my SGS II GT-I1900G (Chinese version), for Region: Europe and Country: United Kingdom, and based on ICS.
I have been round and round this for 3 weeks now trying to find the right ROM so that my phone will work as if it was a UK phone. Mostly I find myself directed to parts of this web-site which I am them prevented from accessing because I am judged to be technically not competent (which is probably true, but not useful).
After doing a fair bit a tinkering and research experimenting for a month. I managed to find the best solution for people who don't want to use custom roms. Yet wanting a similar yet better mobile experience they had with 2.1 eclair. After a factory reset. Latest Voodoo Lagfix via Odin |or| ryanZA's OneClickLagFix your choice

I was messing around with my own theme (using metamorph), and I wanted to change the stock wallpapers. I know how to, I know where, but when I went to check the default wallpaper names, I don't have them anymore.
Anyway, when I want to select a new wallpaper from the "Gallery", I only have one choice, the "wallpaper_snow_leopard". I have put many wallpapers in the launcher.apk, but none of them show up (I'm guessing because they are not named after the stock wallpapers). The "wallpaper_snow_leopard" isn't the actual leopard, but that's what I wanted.
There seems to be a file called "wallpapers.txt" in the assets folder of the launcher apk, anybody know what this is about? Thanks.
