Samsung EPIC 4G :: 6 Axis Motion Sensor?
Jul 27, 2010i was playing with the demo Captivate and noticed it will adjust portrait to landscape either way, turning phone left or right. is this due to the spiffy 6-axis motion sensor?

HTC EVO 4G :: Motion Sensor While On Call?
Nov 18, 2010i just discovered somehthing pretty cool. You know when your on a call the screen is black, and then when you move it from your ear the screen turns on? Well i thought the screen was triggered by accelerometer movement. Its not. Theres a motion sensor right below the front speaker. I tested by being on a call, then i pulled the fone away from my ear and saw the screen turned off, then i waved my finger over the sensor and the screen would turn on and off. Or does everyone already know this?..lol Try it, its pretty cool.

Feb 8, 2010I have a HTC Hero here, and when I tried to get the list of available sensors on the device by calling ((SensorManager) getSystemService (Context.SENSOR_SERVICE)) .getSensorList(Sensor.TYPE_ALL); I get only the following sensors: D/SensorManager( 6302): found sensor: BMA150 3-axis Accelerometer, handle=0 D/SensorManager( 6302): found sensor: AK8973 3-axis Magnetic field sensor, handle=1 D/SensorManager( 6302): found sensor: AK8973 Orientation sensor, handle=2 D/SensorManager( 6302): found sensor: AK8973 Temperature sensor, handle=3 According to the specs, there should be a light and a proximity sensor on the Hero, and I've seen it in action (the automatic screen brightness adjustment) - so at least the ambient light sensor is definitely there. My question is then, why doesn't the getSensorList return for me the light and the proximity sensors?

Feb 18, 2010My home icon is way less responsive than the back icon which seems to be perfectly normal. Sometimes I have to "press" the home icon twice to get the "buzz" and have it move the screen. However the back icon works 99% of the time on the first press. IS there any adjustment I can make or should I bring the phone back. I have had it now for 2 weeks.

Motion of the headphone jack (e.g. while walking with phone in pocket) can be sufficient to trigger events that shut down music player or cause it to skip tracks. This is a major usability issue.
I'd like to disable those events or somehow configure the music player to be insensitive to them.

Oct 11, 2013How to pair the six axis controller on a Mac? I'm a newb to the command line thing in terminal and I don't know what to type to get it working. I don't understand how to run it...

But how do i run the command line utility? I got he libusb thing and installed it successfully but I still don't know how to make it work correctly. Every time I try some of the steps I find online, my terminal says "-bash: $: command not found"
General :: Edit DPI X And Y Axis Independent
Dec 17, 2011The screen seems stretched on the x axis (in landscape mode), resulting in circles that look like ovals. So I decided to take a look at some system info apps, and this showed some strange numbers (see the screenshot below).
I already tried editing the dpi in the build.prop file, but this didn't fix the problem. The overall dpi changed, but I was still stuck with the incorrect aspect ratio. Maybe a way to change the dpi of the x and y axis independent?

May 21, 2010I'm mapping a texture from my texture atlas to a square on a cube. For some reason, the t axis is inverted with 0 being at the top and 1 being at the bottom. Any ideas why this is happening? Also, I have to specify the texture coordinates in clockwise order rather than counter-clockwise. I am using counter-clockwise windings. The vertices, indices and texture coordinates I'm using are below.

Apr 20, 2010Is it normal in all Cliqs for the screen-half to be very slightly moveable in the up-and-down vertical direction, both in open and closed position? I'm not talking about inward and outward, but rather up and down on the vertical y-axis like from the ear speaker at the top to the mouth mic at the bottom. And I'm only talking about a millimeter of very slight movement if you hold your thumb down firmly or grab it with two fingers and try to move it.

Sep 9, 2010Has anyone figured out how to do this? When I hold my finger on a text and choose forward, I only get the box where I have to type in each contact individually. Is there a way to show a list of my contacts when forwarding or at least a way to forward to a group? I have groups set up, but there doesnt seem to be a way to access them when forwarding. I have tried every option and every menu and cant find out how to do this on the Epic?
