Samsung Captivate :: Google Calendar Not Syncing To Droid One / Why Is So?

My Google calendar (web) isn't syncing to my android calendar.
What am I doing wrong?
This is a weird problem but when my calendar syncs it syncs all the events but they are all several hours later than they are on my Google Calendar on my computer. I'm looking at my phone and my computer right now, and all the events are here except all events on my phone are pushed back. Any ideas?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am having an issue with my Samsung Captivate. When I put a new calendar event on my laptop, it will sync with my phone. When I put one on my phone, it will not sync with my laptop.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have my gmail, contacts, and calendar syncing with my Google account. Everything seems to be working fine except for the calendar. It's only doing a one-way sync - events from my Google calendar are syncing to my phone but events created on my phone are not syncing to my calendar.
Is there a setting that I'm missing somewhere?
I haven't been able to figure out how to do this and the only way I can get to my Google calendar is to go thru the browser and log in.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI am new to Android, Google calendar and the Captivate phone. Have successfully imported my old calendar to Google Calendar which initially synced with the calendar on my captivate. However, when I add a new event to my phone calendar, it does not automatically show up on the Google calendar. the Samsung rep told me I have to edit each new even to mark it as a "Google Calendar". Is there any way to make this the default option on the Captivate phone? I am hoping to have automatic syncronization b/t the phone and the Google calendar without having to force it to do so each time.
View 15 Replies View RelatedBeing new to Android with the Captivate, I didn't really understand how the syncing with outlook would work. This is what works for me.
1. I keep all my contacts, calendar, and appts. on Outlook on my home PC, so I downloaded the Google Calendar Sync that runs in my system tray.
2. I logged into the Google account and clicked on having Outlook being the main and moving info to Google. I then set the minutes to 10 between syncing.
3. The app will then upload calendar, contacts, and tasks to Google (I only had Yahoo before).
4. My phone settings has Google set to automatically update, after a few more minutes, you will see all the uploaded information sync to your phone.
5. If I am not home, and I now have my Google Calendar Sync set to 120 minutes and that both website and Outlook are combined. I can then enter something on my phone, new contact, or whatever and when I get home it is sitting in my outlook.
Its not reinventing the wheel by any means. But I really struggled on the learning curve so if this helps someone knew great.
My Google calendar is not syncing. It was until the update. Did something change? What setting do I need to have to make sure it syncs.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI created some events in my google calendar on my Mac desktop. I am not using iCal for this, I am using Google. Anyway, when I mounted my Droid to the desktop, I figured it would sync on its own with the new information I entered on the desktop calendar but nothing changed on the phone. The only change I noticed was that US Holidays popped up but several events I created did not show up on my phone. What am I doing wrong? I thought the Droid syncs with no problem with the google calendar?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just noticed that my Google calendar isn't automatically syncing with my phone despite the fact that I have it set to sync automatically. I enter new appointments on my computer and it isn't until I go in and actually ask the phone to sync that the appointments show up. Anyone else noticed this? Any fix? I've been through all the settings and can't seem to find a setting to set it to sync for specific time intervals (every hour, or once a day, etc.). Anyone else find this setting?
View 12 Replies View RelatedSo, I have been playing around with contacts and google calendar syncing on my Droid, and I love it. I also know that it uses a very small amount of battery.
Looking at Spare Parts and the battery information, google uses MAYBE a minute a day for syncing, which is absolutely nothing.
Anyways, anyone know how often it syncs? Seems to be every 12-24 hours.
Up until today I've had my phone syncing with Google (Contacts and Calendar). Through a bit of searching and work, I've now finally got Kies installed and I want to have my Captivate sync only with Outlook. The problem I see at this point is that if I sync now, I'm basically going to have everything duplicated in my phone. I simply want to remove the Gmail account and all my existing contacts, calendar entries, etc.
When I go into Accounts & Sync, if I attempt to remove gmail, it states that some programs are using this and I'll have to do a factory restore to remove it. This would apparently remove all my downloaded software which I definitely don't want to do. The phone is rooted and enabled for side loading along with all of AT&T's bloatware blown out. Is there another option that I might be missing to remove this? I really want to use Kies and stop using gmail to sync.
We've been having some issues with syncing between Google calendar and the Droid Xs. We would delete an appointment in Google calendar (on the browser), and it would disappear on that, but it would still appear on the Droid Xs. I would delete it on my phone, but it wouldn't go away on my wife's (she subscribes to my calendar, read-only), and the within a few seconds of deleting it on mine, the appointment would reappear on mine. Any ideas? Where do I go on the phone to look at when the phone syncs with google's server?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just noticed that none of my events on my Droid have any reminders. They have reminders in Google Calendar online, and in Outlook (they are sync'd from Outlook to Google Calendar by the "Syncmycal" program.) So somewhere between Google Calendar and my Droid I'm loosing reminder settings. The events are all there in my calendar, but none of them has a reminder set.

However when i go to my S3 and make sure that my account settings are syncing the calendar i only see items i have entered and not the subscription items. Is this how its supposed to work?
View 1 Replies View RelatedThe main problem I am having is syncing with Google Calendar. It shows it hasn't synced since August 20th. It is checked to sync and shows the sync (circle with arrows) symbol but it never syncs. In contrast, my GMAIL is having no problems syncing...only the calendar. My wife and I share our gmail account to keep calendar's in sync and it happens on her phone too.
View 4 Replies View RelatedIs there a way for me to have my events on my calendar synced directly with my Google Calendar in order to get email notifications of what I have on my schedule? I used to have this ability with the ipod touch, and since this is a GOOGLE Android phone, you would think it would be possible here.

View 3 Replies View RelatedRecent switcher to Android and owner of brand new Galaxy S4 here. I have two separate Gmail accounts, one for work and one for home. Each has its own Google Calendar. Both accounts are linked to my phone.
However, I want separate apps on my GS4 to handle each Google calendar. My phone came with S Planner and I have added Google Calendar App (GCA) from the Play store.
On S Planner I choose to display the home account calendar - no problems so far. I then switch to GCA and choose to display the work account calendar. Great. However, and this is my problem, these apps now seem to be 'linked', such that when I then go back into S Planner from GCA it is now displaying the work account calendar instead of the home calendar.
In other words, changes in one app seem to be mirrored in the other app. Is there any way around this, so that each app only displays one account calendar?
Anytime I click to add a new event it always defaults to "My Calendar"(phone built in one) as the Calendar it is going to add it too.I have checked my settings and I only have my google calendar checked so it shows all of those events. The "My Calendar" is unchecked too. But it always wants to add it to that one, not google. Any ideas how to change this? Or if not, is there another calendar app you could recommend I use instead of the stock then? This is really annoying that every event I have to change and select Google.I use google calendar for everything, and if I forget once it could cause a lot of problems. Plus, I don't want to think about having to change it manually EVERY EVENT!
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Macbook with iCal configured to match my Google calendar account. The two sync together with no problem. I tried setting up my HTC Desire to sync with my Google account which should give me three way sync but I get the following problem: I open Calendar on my phone, I try to add an event, a message appears saying: YOU HAVE NO CALENDARS. On the settings side, if I hit MENU then MORE and I choose CALENDARS I can't see my Google account. If I hit SETTINGS there is nothing to add my Google account. If I go to the ACCOUNTS & SYNC settings, I see my Google account, but when I hit my account, the data synchronization theme only shows SYNC CONTACTS and SYNC GMAIL, there is no SYNC GOOLGLE CALENDAR. I had Syncmate installed on my macbook and had it configured on my Desire, but it didn't sync the calendar either so I deleted it from my accounts. Could this be causing my problem or does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Droid Eris running Android 1.5. My problem is that when my phone syncs with my Google Calendar, events that aren't on my Google Cal sometimes show up on my phone's calendar. The events that are showing up are events that repeat on a weekly basis but I deleted them for certain weeks on my Google Cal, yet they still show up on my phone. This is starting to become a hassle because I keep thinking that I have to do things when I really don't. I've already cleared the calendar data on my phone and restarted like the Google troubleshooting tips say, but that didn't work.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI try to sync my calendar with google calendar I get a message that's says there is no calendar events currently synced. So I go to settings-accounts-Gmail- and it only gives me the option to sync contacts and gmail, not the calendar. How do I add in the calendar so that I can sync it? I only have the one Gmail account. My friend thinks I may have to remove the gmail account then add it back in, but doing so means I would have to restore factory settings and everything would be deleted. I would hate to have to restore the factory settings.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI can't figure out what it going on and I'm hoping that somebody here can help me. I am using the stock HTC calendar widget for my calendar, but I can't get any calendar entries dated before April 1,2010 to sync with my phone anymore ~ they were there when I first got my phone, but now they are gone. My google calendar goes back over 2 years when I view it on my computer so I know all the information is still there, I just can't get it to show up on my phone. Any idea what has happened? Oh, and if anyone can suggest a better calendar application? than the HTC one, that will still sync with my Google calendar, I'm willing to try that and just forget about the HTC one.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have had my Desire for about a month now. All of a sudden, it isn't syncing one of my google calendars (i have 3, all on the same account, and the other 2 are shown)I have gone into the settings of the calendar, and the missing calendar is listed and ticked. However, nothing is shown on the calendar on the phone (there are events if i check it online).
View 4 Replies View RelatedI was experimenting with linking my wife's calendar with mine.It did not go well.Works ok in a browser but not on the Droid/Rezound.
Now i have entries in the calendar on the Rezound that are not in the synced Google Calendar online.I entered a new appt in the browser calendar and it synced just fine but I don't know how to get rid of the orphan entries in the calendar.
In a worst case scenario should I just create another google account for the calendar to sync with?I can't really change the google acct that the phone is based on because I have several market purchases that are linked to that account.
I'm using the Jorte Calendar and Tasks on my Incredible and for the calendar syncing seems to only work in one direction...
When I update a calendar item online using Google Calendar, it syncs to the Jorte calendar on my phone
When I update a calendar item on the phone using Jorte, it does NOT sync to my Google calendar online (I've even tried the export function)
My tasks won't sync at all between the two in either direction.
How do you sync Premier League fixtures (Liverpool FC) with google calendar, and make it show up on my LPP agenda widget? I have googled this, but cant seem to find a solution to it. First, I have already added LFC fixtures to my google calendar in "other calendars", via google itself, but cannot seem to be able to make it show up in LPP widget. Previously I used the Telegraph fixture list, but its been discontinued for some reason (rights issue maybe?). Does anyone know a solution to this?
