Samsung Captivate :: Album Art Polluting Gallery
Jul 27, 2010So I loaded my music onto my SD Card and now when I go to my Gallery it is polluted by the Album art. Is there a way to keep album covers out of the gallery?

Jul 26, 2010I am using WMP to sync pics, vids and music to the phone and noticed that the album art looks horrible (low definition). I always added my own album art to iTunes and on the iPhone it looks clear and crisp. I figure that iTunes optimizes the photo for the iPhone but i'm trying to now optimize it for the Captivate and am running into a wall.Has anyone else experienced this and fixed the problem?

Jul 21, 2010For some songs, it is perfect. But for some songs, either the names or the album names show up as something like?@#*&^@$.
This doesn't happen to songs in English, but in Korean (Not all songs though). I tried renaming, changing song info. My best guess is the locale/text setting.

Jul 20, 2010When I try to set a wallpaper from my own gallery, it only allows me to select a specific part of the picture. For example on the iphone I could resize the selection to fit the screen as much as I wanted. But the captivate sets a box and i cant make it bigger or smaller to select the entire wallpaper. and also doesn't matter how high res the picture is, it always looks blurry. Unlike the stock wallpapers, they look super sharp and clear. Anyone know what im doing wrong or how to fix it so i can choose to display an entire picture as my wallpaper rather than just a small portion?

Sep 13, 2010Anyone have a suggestion for a good, lightweight image gallery app to replace the current one? I love stock one because of its looks and functionality, but it has a seriously hard time loading any images that are even remotely large, let alone displaying thumbnails for them. It just gives up on many images that it should be able to load.Alternatively, a way to make the stock one run better and load all of my images would be greatly appreciated, too.

Oct 6, 2010I'm a photographer so I have the need for several different folders in my gallery for various reasons. So far the only way I have found to move pics between folders is to go: my files>dcim>folder with pic I want to move>long press>select move>select new folder>select move here. One at a time. Are you kidding me? So my questions are:
1. Is there a quicker and easier way to move several pics to different folders?
2. Is there a way to select a folder before I start taking pics so that all the pics I'm about to take go into that folder?
3. Is there a better gallery out there that allows for all of this if the stock one doesn't?
It really seems like I should be able to quickly and easily do what I want from within the gallery. Like a simple drag and drop type of thing. I will be amazed if this isn't there, but I can't find it.

I want to change the thumbnail picture displayed in the gallery app (I'd call that the 'key photo' from using apple products in the past). Sep 16, 2010I don't remember how I did it, but I was somehow able to upload all the photos that I've taken with the camera to Picasa. Now I have quite a few videos in there as well, but I do remember a message saying that videos are not supported by Picasa and that only the photos would be uploaded. I'm now trying to do the same thing, but whenever I choose the entire 'Camera' folder to upload to Picasa, the only 'Share' options are YouTube, Gmail, and Bluetooth. Does anyone know how I may have done that the first time, or a way to sync photos from the gallery to Picasa web albums?

Feb 28, 2012 I want to be able to prevent all of my album art from being displayed in my gallery, and only to show the images/folders that I've actually placed in my gallery.
When i open my gallery, I see all the images & folders that I've put there,but I also see ALL of the folders with ALL of the album art..and this can be difficult.
Is there any way to prevent this? I want the album art to display in my music player-(when that album is playing).But I don't want to have to scroll through every frickin folder of all album arts every time I open my gallery to find pics/images.
Get's to be too much when you have over 20GB's of music and pretty much all of them have album art folders. Is this do-able?
General :: Picasa Album / Gallery Remove From Tablet
Oct 16, 2011I believe I have tried everything now to get rid of all my picasa pictures in the gallery on my tablet included reading the forum and the rest of internet and now my brain is soon exploding.I have a Iconia tablet with Taboonay 2.2 custom rom.What have I done:
-I have stopped automatic sync option in account/sync to my gmail account, there is now way to tick off gmail,contacts,calendar and picasa.Only option is to stop auto sync with the gmail account itself.
-in settings/app menu I have closed down gallery app and clear data
-with astro I have deleted cache in ..android/data/com.android.gallery3d and android/data/com.google.android.gallery3d
-then I have wiped dalvik in recovery
but the pictures comes back like magic in front of my eyes every time I have tried.

May 19, 2010After the 2.1 OTA a lot of random photos were thrown in my photo album under separate files, I think one is named something like keyboard...and another one called icons maybe. They are just screen shots of the swype keyboard. I tried to delete them after I dl'd the Nexus Gallery (which is awesome btw thank you Androzoid) but they just came back. Has anyone else had this happen? I haven't tried to delete them yet straight from the SD card to see if that works. Is it okay to delete these or do they serve some purpose?

Jul 9, 2010I cannot find a way of loading the album art along with the music onto my phone. I use media player and everything in there has the correct album are associated with it. I tried syncing with my galaxy and the music went accross but the art did not. Then i tried the same with the Kies software. I updated the information so the album art was showing and transfered it accross and again the same thing happed, music but no art. I have also tried using Windows explorer with the same result.

Nov 30, 2009so i added album art to most of the mp3s i've got on my galaxy and started the music player had to wait a while for the player to index all the files and i had to start playing a track from each of the albums for the cover art to update i later added a couple more albums to the phone (via usb) and the player had to index everything all over again, only this time it doesn't recognize a lot of the album art it did previously? what's up with that? i'm still on ig9; does it work better on newer firmware? (any word on when a new one is released? i5 is still the newest, right?)

Samsung Vibrant :: Swype / Easiest Way To Add Album Artwork For My Songs?
Oct 15, 2010I was wondering what the easiest way to add album artwork for my songs was? Yesterday I did it by clicking each individual song in my folder through usb connection, which would then open up in iTunes where I edited each song and dragged the artwork in it. Although this worked, some album art looks blurry on the phone when I play the song and it did take quite some time through this process. Second, has anyone noticed the new Swype that came with the recent phone update is bad? Now it's hardly lenient on your tracing path and you pretty much have to trace it perfectly and slow to get the word. Also, is there a way to get rid of the dialog box that pops up when it says for example, "the word 'dude' is hidden by the word 'dide', to delete 'dide' do such and such"? It's getting really annoying popping up after many words in the same paragraph.
