Samsung Behold 2 :: Cannot Load Any Apps Onto Phone / Not Enough Memory
Jun 26, 2010Recently talked Tmobile into sending me a Slide, and letting me keep the BHII. Used one of BH Man's roms to take the BHII back to stock to get it ready for resale. Now, i cannot load any apps onto the phone because it says "not enough memory". Checking the memory settings shows 0 Maximum, 0 available. I've done a factory reset, i've reflashed the rom twice, still no memory.

Sep 9, 2010I'm using Bearsfan85's custom ROM, but have lost the voice dialer app that was in the Samsung's touch wiz ROM. As this is helpful to avoid car accidents while on the road, I was hoping to get it back. I have the .apk file but ASTRO file manager won't let me install it. I've tried to adb push it but I get a "read-only file error". For whatever reason, the commands "adb remount" or "adb shell sysrw" aren't being recognized, which I think is what I need to do to adb push the voice dialer back onto my phone.Unless of course, the Samsung apps just aren't compatible anymore.

Apr 17, 2010This thread is for speeding up android and improving battery life for Behold 2.I learned back in my days of ignorance(iphone days,lol) that by removing certain startup apps,services,and languages you can make the phone faster,and have better battery life,you can do same thing on android.Less services=more RAM,more CPU power,faster os,better battery. Updated Things you will need: Root and Root Explorer app or ADB,there is probably other apps you can use also.
With your Root Explorer or Astro navigate to /system/app folder,cut and paste any service or app that you don't need to a backup folder on sdcard.That way if you removed something that you might need later you can always put it back (NOTE:when you put back apps that you removed don't forget to set permissions,that's the reason i recommend using Root Explorer because other file managers to my knowledge wont let you set permissions on files)..................

Mar 12, 2010as the title says superuser and root for apps is not working. i installed BH_MAN's stock update rom (which was supposed to have root for apps, as far as i know) and cannot use apps requiring root. also superuser doesn't seem to actually be working. Can someone please help? everything else works great! I just need to use apps that require root.

Aug 20, 2010I rooted my phone for the first time yesterday. I have not yet flashed any ROM's, all I have done so far is remove some of the stock apps. I have lost my data connection a couple times today, usually a reboot will solve it, however it hasn't on one or two occasions. It seems to have started happening after changing my boot animation to something closer to the 1.5 boot animation. Is it possible that this new boot animation is causing my data connection problems.

Sep 20, 2010It seems that rooting the Fascinate and fixing the Google Search issue on the soft key and removing some bloatware is pretty easy, and I'm actually contemplating it once I get a Fascinate. Here are my questions: If I root the phone, I would not get OTA updates, when 2.2 came out? I would have to remove the root in order to get that OTA update to 2.2? To remove the root, I would enter the following into a command prompt on the phone or on my PC?

Jul 25, 2010I just installed a new ROM, and now my phone is saying there is no available phone memory and no max memory. I think I have seen something about this on the forums before, but I can't find it now. I am using the latest 1.6 ROM. Can anyone help?

Jul 30, 2010I encountered "zero memory" issue if I flash custom ROM over another with "onepackage" and factory reset doesn't help. Now I found a fix of this issue, and this should be done if you want to flash custom ROM over another.
Download and flash BH-MAN Warheads ROM http://www.4shared.com/file/nFe93F45/BH_MAN_WarHeads.html
Make sure you put in the components correctly. After md5 check has completed, you can flash and take a little break. Once you're in the standby screen on the phone, you can turn it off and reset the Odin and select the ROM and .ops file along with the ROM.

Mar 27, 2010I just ran the persistent root and it worked great. I'm trying to copy Arabic fonts from the memory card into the phone but am running into a problem after running adb shell. The device is recognized by the pc and lists it as "sgh-t939". But the second command I think it wants to remount the memory card [ remount rw ] and I'm encountering a problem -- displays "remount: not found" I am simply following directions for adding the same fonts from a rooted galaxy. May 31, 2010Sso yesterday, my phone did one of the resets on its own, thinking ok whatever (since its the norm now). When it came back up was saying please insert external memory card. Something like that. So again, its crapped out another card. I would have to check my last post to see if this happened with the old phone or the replacement. Its been just fine, now everything is gone again. I know I should back things up but when u have never had this problem b4 its not something that I always remember to do. I had removed weather widget and beautiful widget as I didn't know which one I wanted and was rearranging icons. Now I cant use either. I was checking for a schedule online.

Mar 18, 2010I recently converted to BH_MAN stock BH2 image + root. I'm having the following situation:After the install and performing the Master reset everything is working fine, I proceeded to download some applications and everything was operational. I rebooted my phone (for some reason I do not recall right now, happened 2 days ago) and when it came up, I had several applications corrupted: There was an icon in the same place that the original was with the same name but different icon, and if I clicked it would advise that the application was not installed. I would go to my downloads and the application management sections and see the application and it wouldn't work till I uninstalled it, then reinstalled it.Now, last night I also uninstalled the T-Mobile "My Account" software and let my battery drain out completely to have it sync correctly (that was another problem I was having, batt would say I was at 20% and I had 4 bars in the screen, fixed now) and once I let it charge completely I powered it on and some applications were uninstalled again, but the T-Mobile Account software was there again! Can anyone explain if this is a permanent problem or is there something to be done?

Dec 28, 2009I am looking at getting the behold 2. I really like the form factor and screen. What I don't like, is how sluggish it seems to be. From what I have heard, this is due to the fact that samsung has totally messed up the UI with that damn useless cube and other things.
Can this phone be wiped and then install a stock android 1.5, 1.6 or even 2.0? I am going to get it anyway regardless because I am still stuck in the dumb phone world, and can't even come close to upgrading. I'd wait for the nexus one, but without an upgrade I won't be able to afford it. SO I will stick with this one for a while.
