Nexus :: Bluetooth-Car Hands Free N1 AT&T

Mar 26, 2010

Just got an N1 AT&T unlocked. Paired it with a Nissan 350Z bluetooth hand free. It pairs and the light on the car says it's connected. The N1 BT icon says is connected as well. When a call comes in, the car and the phone will both ring. When I pick up the call, either on the phone or the car, the system will switch to "phone" but the call always goes to the phone. I have only been able to actually use the car's handsfree once. Is anyone else having issues with their BT hands free in their cars. The other phones I had worked perfectly.

HTC Desire :: Bluetooth Hands Free

Jun 15, 2010

Is anyone having problems connecting their phone to a hands free kit? I get intermittent drop outs etc.

I connected with my phone to the hands free and it didn't even ask me for a passcode as it does with others.

So................the problem is that it sometimes connects and will then drop and will have to restart both devices.

Samsung Galaxy S :: Bluetooth - Hands Free

May 18, 2010

I remember one of the sticking points last year for me, was the inherent problem in Android of Bluetooth support for Bluetooth Voice Dialling for true "hands free". Not to mention Bluetooth file transfer. I understand Android may still have a problem with Bluetooth voice dialing, or is this just problems with, I think it is, "Droid"?

HTC Desire :: Bluetooth Takes A While To Connect To Hands Free

May 26, 2010

I have been having an annoying problem whereby my phone takes somewhere between 2 and 10 or so minutes to connect to my car's hands free kit. The handsfree is a factory fit bluetooth unit in an Audi. I've had the car over 2 years and with my previous phones (SE W810i, K750i and C905) the connection was always made within 15 seconds of turning the ignition on. With the Desire it takes so long sometimes that I can have reached my destination before it connects!

HTC Droid Eris :: Bluetooth Hands Free And Audio - Same Time

Feb 13, 2010

I havent been able to try this yet and i was just wondering if anyone else has. If you have the phone connected to a handsfree bluetooth system in a car and are also using the phone to play music via an aux input through the headphone jack will they both work? I am just wondering if the bluetooth connectivity will override the fact that you have something plugged into the headphone jack. I will be able to try this in a couple weeks when i get my car back, but wasjust curious if anyone else already has tried it.

Sprint HTC Hero :: Car Stereo Hands-Free Bluetooth Errors

Nov 19, 2009

I have a Blaupunkt Melbourn car stereo with the Blaupunkt USB/Bluetooth Interface installed in my car and it used to work just fine with my Sprint Mogul and Touch Pro, but I can't seem to make it work with my Hero. When I pair the two, the radio only recognizes the Hero as an audio source and not as a phone. In other words, I assume I can stream music from the phone to the radio but I can't answer the phone with it. I should add that the connection icon shows up as audio headphones instead of a phone handset in the Bluetooth Devices screen.And this is just the opposite of what I need. I could care less whether I can stream music, but I need to be able to use the car radio as a hands-free device and as I wrote in the last paragraph, the radio worked perfectly in that capacity with my last two phones.So does anyone have any idea whether this is a phone problem or a stereo problem? Does anyone have any idea if there's a work-around? For that matter, does anyone have any helpful information at all?

Motorola Droid :: Transfer Droid Phonebook To Bluetooth Enabled Car Hands Free Kit

Nov 11, 2009

Found a few threads about people having problems transferring their phonebook to their hands free kit in their automobile. Had the same problem myself - was able to connect and pair with the car kit. I was able to make and receive calls, but didn't have the phonebook.

Then yesterday, while setting in the car, I was going to re-pair the connection between the phone and car I noticed that in the Notification Bar that the car was asking permission to receive the phonebook from the phone. Opened the Notification and granted permission and clicked on always grant access (or something similar). Phonebook was then transfered. Haven't had a problem with it since...

How To Send AT Commands Based On BT Hands-Free Profile In Android

May 5, 2014

I am trying to establish Bluetooth connection between an Android device with other mobile phone over Handsfree profile. I am using following code -

Code:

private static final UUID MY_UUID = UUID.fromString("0000111F-0000-1000-8000-00805F9B34FB"); // UUID for Hands free profile
// Some code...
// Get Bluetooth Adapter.
m_oBluetoothAdapter = BluetoothAdapter.getDefaultAdapter();
// Some code...
// For paired BT device, getting a connection established.

[code]....

I can create RFCOMMSocket using above code.

Now I want to send AT commands based on Bluetooth Hands-Free profile. e.g. If other mobile phone receives a phone call, my Android device can reject this call by sending AT command- "+CHUP". I am not sure whether this is possible or not.

At this point, I am stuck. I have read Bluetooth APIs where I found -

Code:
BluetoothHeadset.ACTION_VENDOR_SPECIFIC_HEADSET_EVENT

Can we use this Intent for sending AT commands? Is this a proper way to send AT command based on Bluetooth Hands-Free profile?

HTC Desire :: Desire Hands-free Kit Stopped Working

Jun 10, 2010

I got my desire last week and everything was good until last night when i changed my googlemail address to gmail. I looked across the forum and found that the best thing to do was reset the phone. I did this and all was perfect once more until I went to go to college and was listening to music but couldn't change tracks or pause using the hands-free kit. I have no idea how to get it working again and don't know if the reset had anything to do with it stopping working. All I know is it worked perfectly the other day.

Nexus :: WiFi And Bluetooth Don't Work - How To Fix?

Jun 7, 2010

I got a problem with my wifi and bluetooth. I bought the nexus one off of someone. The nexus one is rooted with modaco rom and when I went to try to use wifi, it didnt work and when i tried to use bluetooth, it didnt work too. So i thought to myself. The guy who rooted this phone must of did some wrong for me not to have wifi or bluetooth. So I thought it was the rom, so I rooted it back to stock shipping rom. The bluetooth and wifi button on the home screen turn on (like a dark green and it never turns bright green like all the other buttons-well bluetooth turns dark green and then goes back to black and wifi turn dark green and stays like that until i click on it again to shut it off)before that when the Modaco rom was in. The wifi dark green would just stay dark and u can't turn it off and the wifi did the same-turn on and turn back to black. I was wondering what could be wrong. I talked to a google tech and asked him if it could be the hardware and he says the wifi and bluetooth are two different chips and its odd and rare that both would go. So i'm thinking I missing something when I rooted the phone back to stock. I rooted the system.img userdata.img, boot.img and recovery.img. I was wondering does the radio.img have to do anything with it(cause i didnt root that). Will that give me my wifi and bluetooth back. Please help and sorry for long story. Have to make it clear for everyone to understand.

Nexus :: Bluetooth Discoverable Mode

Dec 29, 2009

I'm fairly new to the android platform but I'm getting the hang of it by the minute.I've previously owned a blackberry pearl, nokia e71, nokia n97.I've also used the Iphone 3gs, palm treo 500, samsung blackjack, htc tilt, nokia n95.From a wide range of smartphones, I must say, android is by far the fastest (when it comes to booting up, loading apps, viewing pages and maps, and just about everything else).The display is very crisp too. I am using the new google phone that is supposedly coming out next month in case you guys are wondering. Feature-wise, its lacking some of the essentials of a stock smart phone.but the Market is where you go to fill that void.So far, I haven't had any luck finding an app that will make my phone in discoverable mode all the time.There's a limit under your bluetooth settings of 106 seconds or so, but I would prefer it if there was no limit.Suggestions anyone?
