View 1 RepliesMy face is hitting the 7 key often and deleting my voicemail and some other keys. Is someone else facing that too? I can hide the dialpad and get rid of the problem for that call but often, you need the dial pad to call banks, etc Just wondering if anybody else is seeing this or am I the only one?

I do not want to have all my Facebook contacts in my Phone. I tried deleting them from my phone but it says that I have to delete them from Facebook in order to do so.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI got the Droid yesterday, and I'm trying to use Google Voice *just* for voicemail. However, it seems like I never get notifications about new voicemail, unless the app is open. Also, recorded voicemail is very soft when it's played back, almost too soft to hear.

However, when I check my voicemail, I do not have a new message or any saved messages either. Whats going on and how do I get rid of it?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI can't get my voicemail icon to go away. Its been on there for close to a month and won't go away. I went to Verizon but none of the tech guys had arrived yet and the other people at the store couldn't get it off either. I have checked the forum but haven't found a solution. Anybody know what to do?
View 26 Replies View RelatedI use my google voice number for work phone calls and I use goolge voicemail for all of my voicemails. Google voicemail was working properly when people called either my normal phone number or google voice number but now when people call my google voice number, my office land line voicemail picks up the voicemail and not google voicemail. Anyone know how to get all voicemails in my google voicemail inbox?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm using the app Easy Reminder to get constant notifications when I have a missed call or a text message. But it doesn't work on voicemails. Anyone know of something that will work on all three?
I can't understand why this isn't base functionality in Android. Even my plain old basic cell phone from 10 years ago did this.
Out of nowhere, I got a voicemail notification in my notification bar.(Cassette looking thing) I don't remember ever seeing it because I've had Google Voice for so long.
I've tried Powering on/off, battery out, uninstalling GV, hour on phone with VZ tech support. The notification bar doesn't give me a clear option.
If I call*86, it says I have no voice mails.
This notification is very annoying and I don't want to do a factory reset..
I've got a Droid 1 and am rooted w/BB rom. I was under the impression that I could go to my file manager and delete any apps, including native apps. However, the core or native apps list isn't available to me. How do I access and edit this list?
View 7 Replies View RelatedAnyone know if we can delete the ring tones that shipped? I have a terminal emulator installed, so I think that would be the place to start, but am unsure if I can delete anything that's not on the SD card. I'm more worried what may happen if I do this. My reasoning for doing this is that I hate the built in ringtones, and have placed mp3's on the sdcard under /Ringtones and they show up in my Ring tones (no need to use the media player to do so). I have to browse through the ton of crappy tones to select the ones I'd like (obviously this isn't really a space issue, more convenience )
View 13 Replies View RelatedEver since I got 2.1 my phone started adding words to the dictionary by itself. In some cases this is helpful but as it turns out its annoying. It mainly adds capitalized versions of words. for example when I'm in the middle of a sentence it says "You" instead of "you" etc. I delete it, but it keeps coming back. Any way to permanently stop this from happening?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI downloaded an emulator, and was told i could put games on my phone. in the process of trying i must have hacked my phone. ask me how i have no idea. my android has been deleting the contacts off my phone and when i try to import them they never stay on my phone. its pretty annoying. if some one could point me in the right direction, i am new to the forum and i just want my phone to be back to normal and stop running slow.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have 3 pictures in my gallery that were originally downloaded off my picasa acct. since then i have deleted them, or so i thought. the thumbnails of them are still showing in my gallery but when i select one, the pic enlarges for a split second then changes to what i guess is androids generic "pic not available" icon. why are they still showing as thumbnails and how can i delete them for good?
View 3 Replies View RelatedCan't seem to find an answer to this. I had to get a replacement Droid (1st one had a very loose screen) and really wanted to have a fresh start with the new phone - no apps, etc. Since I had the backup thing checked on the 1st phone, the 2nd phone reloaded all the apps from the 1st phone. I've tried the various resets (with backup turned off), but nothing gets me back to a blank, clean phone.
Keep in mind that I'm not talking about the Contacts or Gmail being pulled in (that's fine) - I just don't want the apps & settings from the 1st phone. Uninstalling the apps doesn't quite get me to a clean install. Anyone know of a way to delete/turn off that backup that's sitting in the Google cloud?
Change the voicemail number in the settings. E.g. if your password is 1234 put *86,,,1234#, (, is pause - you must put a pause after the # - otherwise it won't work) I have tried that advice and still cant get it to work. I have put from 1 to 4 pauses inbetween the 86 and the passcode. That still isnt working. I hear no attempt for the phone to put in the passcode.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI tried troubleshooting on google. I tried emailing them, but there is no option to email about the voicemail greeting, just telling me to wait after i change the settings.
So to the problem, I recorded both my name and custom greeting. When people get my voicemail, they hear the standard greeting "Please leave your name and Google voice will try to contact 'Thuyet To'". I went to all the settings, changed everything to play my custom greeting, but I'm still getting nothing.
Since I rooted I cannot find the program to get visual voicemail on my Verizon Droid.
View 8 Replies View RelatedSince I am waiting to get my google voice invite, I am attempting to try this app. Has anyone been able to get it working on the Droid? When it dials the number to forward voice mails to the YouMail site I get a recording from Verizon to call Verizon customer service. Verizon customer service tells me to contact the app. While waiting for a response from the developer, does anyone here have any information? The code being used to attempt to forward voice mails is *71.
View 7 Replies View RelatedHas anyone else had an issue with the Droid completely eliminating email accounts? This has happened to me twice now and it's such a pain in the butt. I have one Exchange account for work and one Pop account (yahoo). Both times I've gone to access my email and the accounts were just gone (my gmail account however remained in tact). I have to go and add them in again and adding Yahoo as a Pop account is no picnic. Does anyone know how to prevent this from happening or if that's even possible?
View 1 Replies View RelatedThis may be old news to some but thought I'd throw this out: With TXT messages showing, click Options button
- Select Multiple
-Options button
-Select all
There you go. And remember, once you have deleted them, they are STILL in your memory and retrievable.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've been using Google Voice for my VM for about a month and a half now with no problems. But every once in a while, I wake up with a notification from the Verizon Visual Voicemail program. There are no new VMs, but it's annoying all the same. Is there a way to stop this, or do I just have to remove the program completely?
View 6 Replies View RelatedEver since 2.2 update, my voicemail is being handled through google voice for some reason. I tried resetting the phone and not installing the google voice app but even then it goes to google voice voicemail.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI use google voice for voice mail. I have it set up to send me a gmail when I get a voicemail, and it usually works great. But on my train commute, there is one section that is underground and does not get any voice or data service. This is followed by another section that gets voice service but no data service. When someone tries to call me when I am in the no voice/data service area, I do not get a voice mail notification until I am back in the full voice/data service area. Due to the train being stopped in the voice but no data service for some time, I did not get the notification for about 20 minutes.
My question is, if I set up google voice to SMS instead of email voicemail notifications to me, will I then get the notifications as soon as I am back in voice service territory? That is, does SMS use voice while email requires data service? I have a limited text message plan, so I was hoping to not use up text messages with voicemail notifications.
Also, I never received a notification from the Missed Call app. Is this because google voice picks up the call before it even reaches the phone when I am not in a voice service area?
Is there a way to set the Droid to automatically input my voicemail password? My BB Tour had a way to insert the password with pauses etc.
