View 3 RepliesChange the voicemail number in the settings. E.g. if your password is 1234 put *86,,,1234#, (, is pause - you must put a pause after the # - otherwise it won't work) I have tried that advice and still cant get it to work. I have put from 1 to 4 pauses inbetween the 86 and the passcode. That still isnt working. I hear no attempt for the phone to put in the passcode.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Droid X. I've rooted the sucker and I've had to reinstall it once. Ever since I've reinstalled it it refuses to use the carrier voicemail and insists on fowarding to my Google Voice account. Now this isn't terrible except for the fact that since it insists on going to Google Voice it takes 45 seconds to pickup. I really want my google voice number and my vzw phone # voicemail to be separate.

View 12 Replies View RelatedI have programed my voice mail # to also dial my password when I call it. It clears to the default of *86 every so often.
View 12 Replies View RelatedIs it still possible to make your password part of the voicemail speed-dial #, so you don't have to dial the password every time? I can't seem to find that option since the OTA.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI got the Droid yesterday, and I'm trying to use Google Voice *just* for voicemail. However, it seems like I never get notifications about new voicemail, unless the app is open. Also, recorded voicemail is very soft when it's played back, almost too soft to hear.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI just setup my Activesync to Exchange 2007 and now every single time I turn the phone on I have to put in my password. My Exchange settings on the server are to require password after 1 hour of non use so I set the screen timeout to that but that appears to be just for the screen.
Anyone know how I can have an HTC Incredible not require a password everytime I turn it on?
How do you do it so that you don't have to enter in the password every time you check your vm?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI need to put a good password keeper on my phone. There are many, of course. I want to get one that also has a desktop version. My question is when syncing, what do you feel is more secure? Syncing to a cloud such as Dropbox or straight WiFi sync between my phone and pc?
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I set up Google Voice to be my voicemail provider on my phone.
Twice.
The first time I did it directly on the site and followed the instructions.....THEN I went to the phone and actually changed it in the Voicemail provider settings (there is a spot for it)
When called it still made me put in my voicemail #.
So I started the process over again.
This time I set up my verizon voice mail with the phone number and the ",****" for the pause and the password. Then i told it to use google voicemail.
Then I went into google voicemail and set up the phone again.
And....
Voila....it automatically puts in my password for me now. Although on the phone it doesn't show that its there at all.
There doesn't seem to be a reason to switch the setting on the phone as the voicemail indicator in "messages" doesn't change.....and also It doesn't seem to be able to set up the true visual voicemail through it.
You have to use the Google Voice app to get them and just search through your mails. (If anyone has a way around that one I'd be grateful - for both the message indicator and the visual voicemail)
When I attempt to set my voicemail greeting, it first asks me to set a 4-7 digit password, then hit #. If I hit # without entering digits, it says "# is not recognized". The user manual clearly states "Sprint recommends you set a password, otherwise anyone who finds your phone can access your voicemail." That implies you don't have to set a password. So how do I tell it I don't want a password, and let me move on to the greeting recording?

View 3 Replies View RelatedCan you guys share how can we mask password input in fullscreen virtual keypad. EditText setPinEditText= new EditText(context); setPinEditText.setImeOptions(EditorInfo.IME_ACTION_UNSPECIFIED);)
I tried using setPinEditText.setTransformationMethod(new PasswordTransformationMethod());
Masking the password input in portrait vkp mode works fine with this change but when I rotate to landscape mode, in fullscreen virtual keyboard mode it doenst worked.
Ive been searching for this for a few days and Ive got nothing so hopefully someone knows. Is there any way to call a number that's been sent via sms? Ex: My wife sent me a text containing the phone number of a client. On previous phones, that number would be a hyperlink and when I clicked it the dialer would open with that number pre-inserted. It seems on the moment I have to memorize the number, go to the dialer and input it in. This isn't so easy when your driving or doing much of anything.
Is there any app or setting that allows me to automatically input the number into the dialer? I tried copy and paste but you cant paste into the dialer.
I'm trying to enter my password to access my voicemail, but I can't. The keypad lags and then crashes everytime.
I'm currently using 1.6 Warheads.
Anyone else having similar issues?
Does anyone know of a setting that will send calls to voice mail automatically but still allow the phone to function normally otherwise?I use an application that needs to still have GPS functionality and network access (so Airplane Mode wouldn't work ).Can anyone direct me here?
View 10 Replies View RelatedI have had this same problem happen twice to me on 2 different phones on 2 different Verizon accounts!
The password screen locks and when it asks for the user name and password it states invalid user name / password!
Is this a known problem since when I called and talked to both Verizon and HTC the only thing they could tell me was to do a hard reset and they weren't aware of this problem?

View 13 Replies View RelatedI got the Eris-I love the phone, but I may want a keyboard in a smart phone. However, I want to be able to text like I used to on older phomes-with one thumb. The Eris allows people to change to XT9 input, something I really like. I tried to find something similar on the Motorola Droid and couldn't find any place to change it. Is this option available on the Motorola phone? If I can't change it, that makes two things which bother me about the Motorola phone-the inability to NOT get the mobile versions of web pages as the default and now this texting issue.

View 26 Replies View RelatedI use my google voice number for work phone calls and I use goolge voicemail for all of my voicemails. Google voicemail was working properly when people called either my normal phone number or google voice number but now when people call my google voice number, my office land line voicemail picks up the voicemail and not google voicemail. Anyone know how to get all voicemails in my google voicemail inbox?
