I'm trying to install a kangerade rom on my wife's rooted droid
I go to install, allow update.zip installation and then install /sdcard/update.zip
And I get the following error:
Finding update package...
E:Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p1 (or /dev/block/mmcblk0)
(no such file or directory)
E: Can't mount SDCARD:Update.zip
Installation aborted

I love the blue kangerade wallpapers but i dont really like the theme. Does anyone know where or how i can get them off my phone or if anyone has the images?
View 2 Replies View RelatedRunning this at .8 ghz ker. Best battery life ive seen so far. Awesome! Off charger since 7 am and its 720 pm and still at 50 %. Lots of texting, some web browsing and youtube during the day. Phone was dead by 5pm on other roms.

Buddy told me to put kangerade and chevy lv 1.2ghz on it. I'm not new to the root game and i've done it to a few eris phones. I got everything installed correctly two days ago but yesterday and today, the phone seems to soft boot every now and again for no particular reason. It doesn't go all the way to the mas a hard boot would, but it goes to the droid logo and reboots from there. I'm running the newest version of Kangerade with chevy 1.2ghz low voltage kernel.
View 4 Replies View RelatedSo I recently rooted my phone and switched to the Kangerade 1.1 rom running a chevy kernel. I pretty much have no issues EXCEPT for the fact that maps wont function unless I am on wifi. Once I am using 3g I just get data connection lost, and then it loops....I am using version 4.3 of maps, my wife's phone is also rooted with kangerade using a p3 kernel but with maps 4.2 and she gets the same results.

I have been through many roms, and i always wipe/data, etc. I also always backup all apps/ data/ system through titanium. I read something a while back in a post which i cannot find about not selecting the red colored items or maybe the green items?I think it may be the red because those are all system apps which will come in the new rom i am flashing. I noticed i had 2 copies of system apps like car home 2.2 and so on, i just wanna be sure before i flash a new rom again.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI've asked as few times in various threads how to change the "green-on-gray" notifications when running Key Lime Kangerade, but have gotten no responses. That means either other users of this themed ROM have better eyesight than me or never look at their notifications. Or perhaps I did something that royally screwed up my notifications and no one else is having this issue.
Regardless, this is my last ditch effort in looking for help for a fix. Spare Parts is a no go. Neither is any settings I can find on the phone as it currently exists. So what it comes down to is, where do I locate the notification files to make custom edits and how do I alter them?
I have my backups done in both Titanium and CW Recovery so I'm ready to spend my weekend hacking my ROM to make it just right. I'm trying not to think about the fact that it'll all change as soon as the new froyo release rolls out in the next few days...
I know this isn't out yet, but saw some were installing this. Is there a guide? I'm running the bugless beast 1.1

View 1 Replies View RelatedI cannot, for the life of me, figure out what's wrong. I've rooted my phone, 2.2 with Clockworkmod Recovery. I've loaded up my sdcard with .zip files of a few ROMs I'd like to try, go through the whole process of loading up a new ROM, and every single time the phone boots back into the stock ROM. I've had some success with loading up the given ROMs in ROM Manager- but I'm trying to install Smoked Glass 8 or Ultimate Droid, and those are not working.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just got my refurb today and it wont let me install the smoked glass roms neither v4 or v5. i rooted the phone with no problems. and i had smoked glass running perfect on my other phone.
I go to "advanced nandroid restore" then "choose backup" and i choose the smoked glass rom then the phone says: "nandroid exited with status 25." and if i try to use the backup rom i made it says "nandroid exited with status 21". any ideas? ive tried several times today with same results.
Did a factory reset. Unrated did not remove Ny bloatware juat rooted to use wifi tether. Now the ota update keeps failing. What is going on?

My only question is is how do you install SPRecovery? When rooting the Eris you would install the Recovery Image right after rooting. Also: I dont remember if this rom is deodoxed or not. If not, is it safe to put 928 Blackglass on the phone with this ROM?
Is the market app the only was to install applications? The reason I ask is because I went to Android Market and was reference to BooRah but I could not find it within the market application.
Also, is there a way to clear out the search data from the market app?
I followed the sticky to the letter and rooted. I downloaded/paid for Setpcu and Temp Monitor.
I want to install one of the custom ROM's, but need help with two things. First, which one is best/most stable? Secondly, I need a ROM installation for Dummies, sort of like the sticky above.
I rooted my phone yesterday and everything went pretty smooth. Did a simple nandroid backup too. Installed setcpu and both version of rom manager. Here is the problem. everythime I try to run clockworkmod manager I get this error "An error occured while attempting to run privileged commands" I did download a cyanogen rom but nothing. Can't reboot in recovery either.
When I go to setcpu in in read only mode and can't change anything. it says "no root access detected are application have permissions?"
Ans last, When I open superuser permissions, Screen is black and can't see nothing. is this normal?

I am trying to install 2.2 over my rooted 2.1 using clockwork recovery and the linked file from the original 2.2 rooted thread. Everytime I try, I get to verifying current system, then I get assert failed... apply_patch_check("/system/app/AdService.apk", then a bunch of other numbers, then E: Error in /sdcard/droidx_rooted_froyo.zip (status 7), Installation aborted.
I have tried everything I can think of. I have unrooted and tried to install the straight up 2.2 leak file through recovery mode, and get the same error.
I have reinstalled adservice.apk, still get the same error.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have the TBH app, but I'm having troubles installing the new update to Tranq 3.5. It requires a system format, but unfortunately my hardware camera key quit working so I can't format the system thru Clockwork recovery. When I install the ROM thru Rom Manager I still have all the blur. I know restoring a nandroid backup formats the system automatically, but I can't figure out how to put this rom into the .img format thats required. Does anyone have a blank nandroid backup of Tranq 3.5 I can get from them? I'd like to NOT have to return my DX for a warranty exchange if I don't have to. It overclocks like a beast and I honestly never use the camera key except for Clockwork Recovery.
