So i just got the phone today and i love it, but my facebook friends got added to my contacts and I'd rather not have them there. Is there a way to remove them other than manually deleting them one by one?

I recently synced my Facebook contact to my phone so that I could have their Facebook pic as the pic on my phone. I do not want to have all my Facebook contacts in my Phone. I tried deleting them from my phone but it says that I have to delete them from Facebook in order to do so.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI've read the constant threads where people say, just find the friend on facebook, hold press their icon and it will do whatever. doesnt work at all, the only thing happens is if i quick press i get the chooser to email them, or view their facebook profile. what im trying to do is manually sync a contact on my phone with a facebook contact. on my friends droid eris he can open up a phone contact, hit edit and actually has a field for him to type my facebook name in and it will sync. there anyway to do this? im tired of only having like 10 peoples profiles actually syncing with my phone contacts and another 100 not synced..

View 8 Replies View RelatedIs there anyway to re-establish or manually add the Facebook syncronization option to an existing contact in my Contacts app? I lost the Facebook sync icon in the contact information and this is inconvienent at best, and possibly is the cause of disabling the phone functionality at worse. Subsequent behavior on at least two occassions has shown that attempts to dial out using this particular contact locks up the dialer, causing multiple forces closes, and essentially disables the phone functionally both in and out of the phone for long periods time (10-20 mins) until the application can be correctly cleared and purged from memory.
I was able to successfully sync my Contacts with both my Google contact list and then all my Facebook friends. However some of the contact information was not exactly how I preferred and attempts to update that information using the Google contact list was not always successful. Not entirely sure if this is a bug or by design. I was able to successfully modify one contacts name with Facebook sync from first name first to last name first (to correct sorting to my preference). A second contact wouldn't modify no matter if I updated the name information on Google contact or on the phone itself. Finally I attempted to delete the contact and re-add it. This worked but now I lost its Facebook sync (no Facebook icon to click within the contact information). I'm not sure if this detachment is causing the dialer problems.
After syncing all my Facebook friends with my contacts (for complete-ism), I successfully deleted some Facebook friends from my contact list. But what if I want one back with Facebook sync, is that possible?
I have not been able to find the answer to this searching the web so i thought i'd come here. Just got a new droid in the mail and i'm trying to manually punch in my contacts. It says they are saving but I am unable to locate the entry when i go to contacts. Would the contact be saved to a separate account?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI downloaded an emulator, and was told i could put games on my phone. in the process of trying i must have hacked my phone. ask me how i have no idea. my android has been deleting the contacts off my phone and when i try to import them they never stay on my phone. its pretty annoying. if some one could point me in the right direction, i am new to the forum and i just want my phone to be back to normal and stop running slow.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI got my DroidX on 7/15 and on 7/16 linked all my phone contacts who have facebook to a facebook contact via social networking. I kike how the phone sets the picture, I like that in the contact entry it shows me thier status on facebook. What I don't like is that when I open up a contac that is both a phone contact and a facebook contact and I tap the facebook icon on the contact screen I get 3 options (view profile, write on wall, and poke). If I open up a contact that is only facebook and tap that same Icon I get 4 options (view profile, message, write on wall, and poke). Is there some reason linking the facebook contact to a phone contact needs to remove that option? I'd like to be able to send a facebook message from the phone to any contact as easy as I can send a text message.

When I go to settings > accounts > then try to remove either of them I get the Removing Account box with the red bar and it feels up to the end. Then I get an error message saying "An error has occurred. Please try again." I have rebooted the phone and everything.I googled this problem and found many posts with the same problem, but no answers. Does anyone have a clue what to do ?

Recently, I decided to deactivate my Facebook account since I don't really use it anymore. I have always had it listed in my accounts with Google and Twitter, and now I want it removed. View 2 Replies View RelatedDon't know much about ROMS, kernels, etc but I managed to root my Droid last week thanks to theoverclockr instructions. I took it from stock 2.1 back to 2.0.1 via RSDlite, to 2.1 rooted, loaded the Android 2.2 and the 1.2 ghz kernal. Works great.
Here's where my questions start:
Everyone talks about Bugless Beast like its the best thing ever so I want to try it. I assume I can install that at my current state and not lose everything plus still be running 2.2 froyo?
I am guessing this is how I do it, please tell me if I am correct or not -
1. Turn my phone on in recovery, select android, then backup.
2. Download Clockwork Mod
3. Chose Flash ClockworkMod Recovery
4. Download BB4 and save it to the root of my SD card
5. Restart phone in recovert, select Wipe data/factory reset
6. Select Wipe cache partition
7. Install zip BB from sd card
8. Reboot
Now, IF that goes right, I am assuming I will still have everything, apps, etc from before just a different Rom? Whats the exact difference anyway between stock 2.2 Froyo and BB4?
If that goes wrong, I assume I restore my backup? I'm guessing you do that through recovery too?
Question #2 - What is the battery widget/app that everyone has on here that still displays your battery in the status bar but has a number % of charge in the battery?
Question #3 - Can anyone give me a simple guide on how to remove Facebook, Twitter and Visual Voice Mail. I see everyone talking about tying in commands, removing this and that but I have no idea what program to use to do this, where to do it, etc.
Question #4 - With SetCPU, it looks like with my 1.2 ghz kernel, I can underclock it back to 600 or whatever I want? I am also assuming that I can have the min and max at 1200000 and have it super fast but a battery hog?
Question #5 - Where do I get this benchmark/quadrant score everyone talks about to see how my phone stacks up to everyone elses?

When I try to delete them, it says I have to go to Facebook and delete them as a friend. NO! I don't want to delete all my friends, many whom are there just for Farmville and some are even cats and dogs! I NEVER want to call them or email them (some are on the other side of the world!). I plan on deleting those but don't want them to re-appear at a later date. Is there a way to turn off FB syncing after just the initial sync?
