Motorola Droid X :: Unsync Facebook Contacts?
Jul 28, 2010Any way to do this? I deleted my facebook account and there still there. There is no reason for me to have that many phone numbers.

Jun 4, 2010Ok, so this is my first time with Android. When I first set the phone up with Facebook, it pulled EVERY friend I have and puts them in my phones contacts. After searching, I found that I can unsync them in my 'all' contacts list etc, but they are still showing up when I push 'PHONE' at the bottom of the home screen. They are behind the dialer. Is there anyway to set that screen to show recently dialed numbers or favorites or something?

Nov 19, 2010I hav more than 1200 frnds in facebook and the contacts is taking up more than 21MB of space in my phone memory. I just want to sync my google contacts. As soon as I log in facebook in timescape, the contacts start downloading from facebook.
Is there any way that i can unsync my facebook and twitter in my contacts so tat i hav only my google contacts in my phone? Xperia X10 mini pro. Android Eclair (2.1)

I am helping my mom setup her phone and she had the guys down at Verizon swap all her contacts from her old phone to her Droid 2, but now she wants it undone. Jul 17, 2010I got my DroidX on 7/15 and on 7/16 linked all my phone contacts who have facebook to a facebook contact via social networking. I kike how the phone sets the picture, I like that in the contact entry it shows me thier status on facebook. What I don't like is that when I open up a contac that is both a phone contact and a facebook contact and I tap the facebook icon on the contact screen I get 3 options (view profile, write on wall, and poke). If I open up a contact that is only facebook and tap that same Icon I get 4 options (view profile, message, write on wall, and poke). Is there some reason linking the facebook contact to a phone contact needs to remove that option? I'd like to be able to send a facebook message from the phone to any contact as easy as I can send a text message.

For instance if you add someone as a friend on facebook and they have their email and phone number filled out in their profile, that information would automatically be added to your phone. Jul 16, 2010On my Droid there was a setting to only sync Facebook data for contacts who also were Google contacts. On the X, there doesn't seem to be that option anymore. I don't want all of my Facebook "friends" to show up in my contact list on my phone but I would like Facebook data to sync for my actual contacts in my Google contact list. Nov 19, 2010I synced my phone with Facebook for some reason, and now every friend I have on Facebook shows up as a contact. When I try to delete them, it says I have to go to Facebook and delete them as a friend. NO! I don't want to delete all my friends, many whom are there just for Farmville and some are even cats and dogs! I NEVER want to call them or email them (some are on the other side of the world!). I just want them for Farmville friends and NOT to be on my phone as contacts!

Sep 29, 2010my contacts have doubled since syncing with Facebook. There are some FB contacts I'd like to keep, and others I would like to delete. I plan on deleting those but don't want them to re-appear at a later date. Is there a way to turn off FB syncing after just the initial sync? Aug 20, 2010I am the proud new owner of a Droid 2. After messing around with it for 2 days, I finally figured out how to link my Facebook contacts with my already existing phone contacts, so I did not have people in there twice, under two different names! However, only SOME of them are allowing me to change their caller ID names. For instance, my Mom is on Facebook, so instead of having her caller ID as her FB name, it allowed me to change it to "Mom", but for other contacts, it won't let me. Any idea why, or how to fix this? Also, is there still NO way to get rid of the unwanted contacts without deleting them from your Facebook friends list? That is driving me nuts! I don't need ALL 225 of my facebook friends in my phone.

Nov 9, 2009When I synced facebook contacts, I had a handful of contacts that duplicated, meaning there was the facebook info and their info from my regular contacts list. In each case, I selected the entry that did not have the facebook info and chose to delete that entry. When I did that, for some reason the entry with the facebook info is the one that disappeared. So, I just deleted the other contact entry too. Then when I added the contact back in, facebook wouldn't sync with it. So now, even though these contacts DO have a facebook account and are still listed as my friends, facebook will not sync with those contacts. I even tried the option of syncing ALL facebook friends and the handful of friends I did this with will not come back. Anyone experience this? If you delete a contact with facebook info once, is it impossible to sync back the facebook option?

However, I deleted a contact and had to re-add them. Now it will not re-add their Facebook info. This doesnt happen to all of them, just ones I've deleted and re-added. Any ideas on how to add it?
