I'd like to turn vibrations off completely throughout the phone but it still vibrates when i get texts. there doesn't seem to be an option within handcent to turn it off. i'd rather just have the ringer.

Is there an easy way to turn the ringer off but leave the vibrate on? When I turn silent on it turns the vibrate off as well. I don't like having to go to settings and manually turn on the vibrate each time.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have downloaded Handcent and love all the options that it gives. However, there are times when I set my phone on silent and do not want anything to vibrate. I have went through all of the settings and notifications and changed everything to "never" vibrate. But still when I receive a new message it does the 3 or 4 vibrate tones. I am sure I am over looking something, but I am gettng a little aggervated.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Droid X with the OTA 2.2 rooted and when I put the phone in Vibrate the phone will not vibrate at all not for phone calls, text, or email? I have "MINI INFO WIDGET" and when I go in there to adjust the volume to vibrate it will work but then when I try to go back to Sound Profile I have to manually adjust the sound again? I have Vibrate Widget and when that is selected it goes to silent only. I tried Uninstalling MINI INFO and VIBRATE WIDGET but I still have the same result sooo it can't be the programs.

when the stock Messaging app wasn't cutting it, I installed Handcent.But it started flaking out on me, so I dumped it and went to the more-reliable chompSMS.I liked it a lot.But to be completely honest, I missed some of the features of Handcent. But reliability is Job 1, so I kept chompSMS for a few weeks.Then I heard that Handcent received a major update a few days ago, so I replaced chompSMS with Handcent. So far so good. I got all the features back, and I haven't had one single issue in days of texting. So if you're like me and you left Handcent for chompSMS, you may want to give the new version a spin.

-Phone vibrate is checked in 'Sound & display settings' for Android.
-Vibrate is checked to always in Handcent.
-Tried multiple vibrate patterns in both normal mode and vibrate mode.
-Tried multiple vibrate patterns for vibrate 'Only when device is set to vibrate mode' (option in handcent) while having the device in vibrate mode.
-Tried uninstalling and reinstalling Handcent.
Phone vibrates normally for all other applications.
So when I have my phone on vibrate setting I can feel it when someone calls me. I have Handcent btw if that makes a difference. But when I have the phone on vibrate and I get a text it doesnt vibrate?I have looked and cant find a fix.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI used this app on my original Motorola Droid and loved it, but I have noticed some problems with it on the Incredible. I'm wondering if it's just me or if anyone else has had these problems as well.
1. LED Light does not change color. No matter what color I set the LED light to in the Handcent app, it always just blinks green. This isn't necessarily a huge deal, but I liked having my text messages blink a different color than my emails and other notifications.
2. LED light does not always blink and screen does not turn on. I noticed that the LED light only flashes once in a while, no matter what type of blink setting I choose. Also, the screen does not turn on when I get a text even though I have the box checked that is supposed to enable the screen to turn on despite having the popup box disabled. Once again, not a huge deal, but it would be nice if these things worked since I got used to these features on the Droid.
3. Phone does not vibrate at all when in Vibrate mode. Ok, this one is a huge deal. No matter which vibrate settings I choose, the phone will not vibrate when I receive a text if the phone is in vibrate mode. I am missing tons of texts now because I need to have my phone silent for most of the day. I checked the recent reviews of the app and didn't see anyone complain about this, so I don't know if there is just something wrong with my phone or if the app just isn't very compatible with the Incredible.
what are the settings do you have to change in order to completely stop any data connection? I have an unlimited data plan so I don't care now that there is a lot of apps using my connection, but going overseas soon, the roaming charges are really expensive. I found some settings (like sync) that I can configure not to use data connection but I am not sure if these are all.

Well, *before* I knew it, it sucked up $14.40 for internet access....Frantically called AT&T customer service and after a long wait, they told me that my device had access the service and downloaded 1.5Mb! I asked them if there was a way to turn off the GPRS(since I was mostly interested in their $2/day unlimited calling service) and they said they don't have a way to turn it off Tried a bunch of things like turning off auto-sync (in settings) etc...but STILL I ended up paying $40 by the end of the day!!

I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 (rooted) running os 4.3
I trying to find a way to disable the lockscreen completly so I can use widget locker instead without having to swipe twice every time.
I have tried setting the standard lock screen to none but it still starts with the standard swipe lockscreen - I have also tried alot of different apps (noLock, no lock screen, etc) but none of them are able to disable the lockscreen.
I have also searched for solutions (here and a lot of other sites) but a lot of people suggest its a bug in os 4.3.
Running os 4.3 have succesfully been able to disable the standard lock screen.
I managed to turn off vibrate on dialpad, no idea how. How can I enable it again. Tried absolutely everything. Now I dont if Im crazy, starting to think that there was no vibrate at all.
