Motorola Droid :: How Can I Save MPS From A Text Message
Nov 8, 2009Ringdroid is great is you have the song. But if I download a ringtone - it comes as an MP3 attached to a text message. There is no media icon I can see that I can click/hold in order to have the option to save the MP3.
So, how can a save an MPS that comes in attached to a text message ?

Nov 8, 2009I want to add some custom ringtones. Ringdroid and Ring Extender both do a nice job, but you need to have the song in order to make a ringtone. I have downloaded ringtones that came as MP3 attachments to a text message.But, I cannot figure out how to save those MP3's. There's no media icon I can click and hold. If I try menu while it's playing - it just backs me out of it, and if I try menu before playing it I just get the usual SMS reply options.

When creating shortcuts to call or message someone is there a way to get rid of the M (H, W, etc) that is put in the upper left corner of the icon on my screen? I don't mind the little phone or convo. icons in the right corner but the M is just too big and covers up a good bit of the icon

Dec 13, 2009I dnt know if this was mentioned but u can save pix from default txts app. You have to watch where u place ur finger. Don't press and hold on the picture attachment, press and hold on the whole message. You will see that the message and the attachment will highlight green and a screen will pop up.

Apr 19, 2014I have a Motorola Moto G 8GB which is running very low on storage (only about 800mb left). This phone does not take Micro SD cards but it comes with 50GB Google Drive storage. However i haven't used this at all. I am wondering whether i could download android apps and games to google drive, dropbox etc. Games like Real Racing take up about 1GB so i cannot download it to my phone. Can i download it to the Cloud? If this is not possible, is there any way that i could save the app data on the cloud. E.g. The Simpsons: Tapped Out is about 37mb to download off the play store, but then you must download the updates etc which are about another 250mb. is there anyway to save this 250mb on the cloud. Or any other games data.

Sometimes I'll look up directions for a place I want to go later. How do I save that location? I know I can look it up with a PC and save it in "my Maps", then possibly access that layer on my Droid. But I just want a place to save destinations that I might want to go to later.
This is one example of many things that should be easy to do, but I don't understand how to.

Apr 1, 2014I have an app that consites of a screen with 6 tabs. Each has 3 edit texts boxes for your subject, date due and details of the homework (for my school homewrok timetable app). I want to know how i can save the texts in the edit texts boxes after i have entered it and then left that screen or went off the app. I know you need shared preferences as i did it for another screen but as its a tab screen i dont know where to put it. p.s i used the mothod of homework.java (main), homeowork.xml and finally tabs.xml.

Nov 1, 2011I read that I have to hold down on the image until the menu bar pops up. The problem is that when I do that, I doesn't pop up at all!! So is there no way to save it then? I have the first DROID and the pictures were sent to me from a DROID Bionic. Would that have any negative effect seeing as it's newer than my phone? I used to be able to save images when it was sent from an earlier model like mine but now I am having issues.
