HTC Droid Eris :: Transfer Contacts From Dare To Phone?
Apr 29, 2010Wife has a Dare, bought her an Eris, and dont know how to transfer contacts.
She doesn't use gmail/outlook or anything.
Tried to download the backup assistant but still couldn't find the contacts online.
Whats the best way to transfer contacts from the dare to eris without having to go to the store?

The main points that I like to enjoy is: Droid beat out the phone that beat the iPhone, and the Droid got further in the brackets than any other Android OS phone Some of the progress is due to hardware, some due to following (over the Nexus'), but a lot due to the v2.01 (and now 2.1) version of the Android OS. Also, this poll is open ALL weekend - it does not close until April 5th, so we have tons of time...but then again, so does the Palm Pre. Let's have at 'em!

Jan 18, 2010I love using my DROID in the OEM Car Dock. I have it setup in landscape mode, but I'm seriously thinking of reconsidering this. More-or-less, because I have to. Every app seems to work great in landscape mode all, except for one, that is. The phone app. What's up with that?Go ahead, try it! Open up the phone app (displaying the dial pad), and turn the DROID on it's side nu thin'! Now open the hardware keyboard. Isn't that a hoot? I would love to know how you're supposed to dial a phone when there isn't any dial pad. In my honest opinion, this is one of the biggest over-sights with the DROID and I have yet to hear anyone mention this issue on this forum, or any other forums. Mar 20, 2010I know that different phones react differently to the same ROM, but now I've seen it for myself. My husband couldn't stand it anymore so he went and got himself a Droid which I promptly rooted and installed the same 2.0.3 SS ROM that mine is running. I have both OC's at 800mhz, but for some reason his newer phone is HOT. It's pretty consistently about 5 degrees Celsius higher than mine, and it gets up into the 40's with use (which mine never does). Is there anything I should try on his phone, maybe a different kernel, to get it to run a little cooler?

Dec 10, 2009What is the best IM app for the Droid? And please dont say ebbudy because that app sucks. I just want an app that can do these basic functions which is have a good UI, be able to send photo's or files, be able to see the profile pic of who you're messeging and be able to change status or profile pic. iPhone/iTouch have billions of apps like this why cant Android have one. Nimbuzz is the closest thing to what I want but it crashes so much and drains the battery.

I've tried battery pull(and letting it sit there several minutes), sd card pull, charging it while there isn't a battery in the phone, and charging it with the battery plugged in.I can't get the phone to come back on. I'm rooted with CM(no overclock kernel). Do you guys think if I take it to verizon to get the warranty replacement I will get a 570 dollar charge after they replace it? What I mean is do you think they will be able to test it and figure out it wasn't stock and bill me.Also, do you guys have any ideas on how to get it to come back on?
