Motorola Droid X :: Corporate E-mail Setup

Can someone please tell me how to setup an Exchange E-mail account on the DX. I just got the phone and the only e-mail I can seem to set up is IMAP or POP. I need to get my work mail from and Exchange setup.

Motorola Droid X :: Google Applications Corporate Email Setup

Aug 19, 2010

Having serious issues setting up Google Apps corporate email on my DX. POP and SMTP settings, email add, password all checked and rechecked for accuracy. Still no dice. Am being told by Google Apps support that I need to hard reset the device, setup corporate Google Apps email first, and then reinstall and re-setup everything else. This seems like a hail mary approach to me, and one that I'm still not sure is going to work.

Motorola Droid X :: Corporate Mail Notifications

Sep 12, 2010

I have two accounts configured on my Droid X 2.1 - gmail and a corporate activex account. I get notifications for a new email coming into gmail but nothing in corporate. Under settings - accounts - corporate, I do see calendar, contacts and email are checked to sync. Also under settings -> data mgr, I have data push enabled and the fetch schedule is the minimum 15 minutes.However, if I have push enabled, I expect the email should notify immediately. Right?

Motorola Droid :: TOS / EULA & Corporate E-Mail

Sep 15, 2010

My wife works for a Fortune 100 company.They allow iPhones and non-Motorola Android based phones to access the Exchange servers for e-mail & calendar.The reason they state for not permitting Motorola is that Motorola states they retain *all* data on the phone and the right to use any/all of it in any way they see fit.First of all, I find this hard to believe. But I do believe there may possible be something alluding to this in the vague language that is the TOS/EULA. i can not get anyone at her company to tell me specifically where they have seen this and why they believe it to be true.In the absence of proof from corporate, I would like to know if anyone has heard or seen of anything like this from Motorola or a corporate mail provider. I have a few tech contacts in the media arena that if i can point this out to them very specifically, they can raise a stink about it and get it changed - like TOS/EULA's have been changed over the years by media pressure.

General :: Not Able To Setup Corporate Email Account

Nov 7, 2011

I am a new owner of Photon 4g. I used to have a HTC touch. I am getting "login failed. please try again" message when I try to setup my corporate email.

1> I have tried using both domainusername and just username with no success.

2> Also have tried setting up gmail as corporate account and later changing to the desired account settings as suggested in other forums and it still shows the same error.

3> I have also tried unchecking "verify certificate"

I have been able to using the same credentials on my old phone and it used to work perfectly.

Motorola Droid :: Can't Setup My Verizon / Yahoo Mail Account (verizon.net)

Nov 10, 2009

For some strange reason I can't seem to set-up my personal e-mail account on this Droid phone. I click on "e-mail", I type in my e-mail address and my password, and then I click "next". And then I get a message that says my username and/or password does not match. But I am positive it does, as I have gone online to test it. I have tried retyping my username and passwrod over and over again without any success. I can't get passed that screen.
I have Verizon FiOS at my house, so my e-mail is set-up through Verizon/Yahoo.

As of now, my cal and contacts are syncing fine but I do not use the e-mail account that is associated with thier username. I have my other account (personal e-mail) set up sepeartely....along with a few other e-mail accounts(work and etc.). I would like to know if i can leave my cal and contacts setup on the regular droid sync account but change the e-mail account to my personal acct. so it will "push" by default with out having it in a seperate palce on the droid. I know this is confusing but i dont know how else to explian it.

HTC Incredible :: Yahoo Mail Setup Through Sense Mail

May 1, 2010

I am trying to figure out whats going on. I have 2 DI for myself and girlfriend. I have my email (gmail and yahoo) setup through the HTC Mail Client and they work fine. I setup my other phone the same way and it worked fine, but once the yahoo account completed the process of downloading the inbox, I got an Authentication Error stating the login was incorrect. The login is not wrong and works fine to login via the standard web page. I tried to delete the Yahoo Account on the HTC, but when I went to setup again I had the same issue. Not sure how or why this could be happening. Any advice is appreciated. Also verified all the yahoo email settings on my working device and they are all the same on the other device with the issue.

General :: Change Android Mail Client User-agent For Corporate Exchange

Nov 8, 2012

My company only allows mobile access to corporate e-mail through WIndows phone. As an Android advocate, i prefer my own mobile device.

My only two choices are to access through my Android Chrome browser or find a way to make my Jelly-bean Android mail app look like it is a Windows phone. ...or a 3rd part mail app that looks like a Windows/windows phone mail client

I prefer the mail client route as it keeps in sync with updates.

Motorola Droid 2 :: Corporate Email Search On D2

Oct 1, 2010

Open the email inbox, tap the search icon and the keyboard appears - but no search box. When I'd seen that before I thought it was just an odd defect.

When you start typing the letters you type appear above the keyboard and the emails are filtered on subject/sender by what you type.

Very cool...would like to have things like sorting by subject/sender, and searching contents, but heck, getting any search at all in exchange email on the Droid is great...does not exist in stock 2.2.

Hopefully I'm not the only one who didn't know. I'm on the 2.3.15 leak...no idea if it is in 2.2.20 as well...

I checked the boxes that I wanted contacts and calender to sync and checked off the email one. Per an email with IT, it appears I put in the correct information. (They won't formally give support since it's a personal phone.)I hate to seem like an idiot here, but where and how does the calender and contacts sync and show up on my phone? Is there some other software needed here or some setting I need to check. How do you make the sync happen and does it load to the existing calender and contacts apps in the X?

I am an IT guy and will recommend this program to all my android folks.
