View 8 RepliesI swear my speakerphone has gotten much much lower in volume lately and I can't do anything to turn it up. I can play media on the speakerphone and it's loud but even if I turn the volume up all the way during a call it's much quieter, anyone else experience this? It seems like it used to be very loud on speakerphone during a call and now it's very quiet.

Car Dock Speakerphone by Everysoft
It's a little app that automatically enables the speakerphone for all incoming and outgoing calls when your droid is in the cardock. For anyone that doesn't use bluetooth, and doesn't want to remove the phone from the dock for a 10 second call, this is a nice app to have.
So I just found out that when I'm on speakerphone, people can't hear me. I then actually called myself with another phone and realized that I can't hear myself at all when I set the phone to speaker mode! When I turn off speakerphone and talk into the mic the voice is loud and clear, but the moment I turn it on boom the other end hears nothing.
View 3 Replies View Relatedever since 2.1 I have noticed all outgoing calls turn on speakerphone by default - and in coming also trigger speakerphone. PITA to place calls, or get them, and always have to turn off speakerphone button. Anyone know why or how to stop it? I cannot say for sure it is 2.1 issue but that is newest change I recall.
View 7 Replies View RelatedWhenever I use the speakerphone, it eventually turns the screen off. Fine. But there are times when I want to take it back off speakerphone, so I need to see my screen. But, if I press the power button to turn the screen back on it hangs up the call.

View 13 Replies View RelatedMy first question is about the car dock. I am in California and we have a hands free law. I cannot stand wearing the stupid little ear pieces. Right now, I am using my Garmin Zumo GPS as a hands free device. The Zumo syncs BT with my Blackberry and the Zumo cradle has a mic, so I don't need a ear piece. The output is sent through my truck speakers with a tape deck adapter. Works great. My question is this - If I have the phone in the car dock, can I use it is in the same fashion as the Garmin, minus the BT sync of course? Will I be able to make speakerphone calls while in the cradle and port the sound through the tape deck adapter?

View 10 Replies View RelatedI hadn't charged my Droid in two days (yep, still working with GPS and WiFi on), so I thought I'd see how the phone alerted me that the battery was almost dead. When the LED began to flash red, the screen lighted up showing the lock screen with a notification that the battery has less than 10% charge remaining.
However, the screen would not turn off. It stayed illuminated, even after I (briefly) pushed the power button.
If I had wanted to preserve battery power, my only choice was to completely power off the phone.
This is the only situation I've encountered when the screen doesn't shut off after a period of inactivity. Also the only instance when it doesn't shut off when the power button is pressed. And it's probably the only situation where one would want these actions to occur to prevent faster battery drainage.
What have others noticed when their battery is dying?
I wrote about this earlier, I had an issue when making a call the screen stays off and I cannot access the keypad or anything while on a call when I remove the phone from my ear. I had this happen again today, but noticed it went away when I took the call indoors. This seems to be an issue when I make a call outdoors, maybe it is the bright sunlight, but the screen refuses to come back on when i am on a call outside. I had to use the keypad to make selections on a call today but was unable to since the screen stayed off. Have others noticed this happening in bright light calls outside? Also, what can be done to correct this?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a Droid (froyo, not rooted) on Verizon, and I use it to access 5 email accounts (yes, all are necessary). Two accounts are through Gmail, and the rest are non-google accounts using IMAP.Here's the issue: I use multiple devices to check my email, but when an email has been read on another device, the Droid notification stays on the phone. Basically my Droid shows email notifications every time I turn the screen on, even if all the mail has already been read somewhere else. Is there any way to set up the Droid so that the notifications are removed once emails have been marked as Read on the server? I don't think there is any stock functionailty for this, but was wondering if anyone can lead me in the right direction (maybe an app?) It may seem silly for some of you, but this prevents me from having to clear my notifications every time I'm about to get up from my desk, otherwise I never know if the notification on my phone is for new email or old email, and I'm on my phone all the time trying to figure that out so I don't miss something important.
View 3 Replies View RelatedNot sure how to fix this, but several times when I make a call and try to end it, the screen stays off and I cannot hit the END CALL button. This has happened a few times when I dialed the wrong number and wanted to just end the call before it connected, but when I flipped the phone back over from my ear it stayed off and the call kept going. Also, sometimes it will flash on for an instant then go back off again, still cannot end the calls.
View 45 Replies View RelatedAre any of you having trouble with this? The sensor doesn't seem to be working the way it should. I have a problem accessing the keyboard during calls to automated services and sometimes the screen won't stay lit long enough for me to end my calls.
Aside from that, my Droid keeps freezing up today. I haven't had any trouble with that before. I've got a week to go before I pass my 30 day trial. I'm not sure what to do. This phone has to be mailed in as I got it online. If there's a way to fix these problems, I'd rather not send it in and wait 3 weeks to receive a new one.
Just started having this problem after rooting. Now if I get on my browser (stock) and then close out when I am done and go to home or put the phone to sleep the little satellite dish looking icon in the status bar stays on. I think this is GPS. Anyway if I close all the windows I have running on my browser it doesn't matter because a new one always opens as my home page google. The only way to avoid the little icon staying on and severely draining my battery is to close all windows in the browser and hurry to push the home soft key before the google page completely loads. What can I do here?
View 7 Replies View RelatedHas anyone noticed that if you uncheck the box to enable the lock screen that the Droid X's screen will turn on for incoming text messages? It's rather annoying as I would rather not use a lock screen but don't want the screen turning on for every new text either. Screen stays off fine if the lock screen is enabled. This is my first Android phone so not sure if this is how Android behaves or if it's a Droid X issue.

For those of you who would like to spice up their lock screen, I have created an image of a master lock, that stretches as you slide across the screen!I have included a screen shot of this in action, as well as a link to the .9.png - which needs to be installed using NinjaMorph.I'm loving it, let me know what you think!MultiUpload Download Master Lock .9.PNG
View 45 Replies View RelatedI have an older Motorola T305 Bluetooth Car Speakerphone that I use in the rare event I need to take a call in the car. I've successfully paired the Incredible and I can dial on the phone itself and use the adapter for the most part.
What I can't figure out is how to get the phone to go to voice prompts when I press the "talk" button on the T305. I have had this unit paired with "dumb" phones aplenty - everything from an older RAZR, an LG ENV2 to a Moto W755. With every other phone, when I hit this button, I get a voice prompt that says "Please say a command". At that point I can either say "call" or "dial", but that doesn't seem to be the case with this phone.
Is there any app I need to run, or is this just a setting on the phone that I'm missing? Perhaps I just need a newer Bluetooth car adapter, not sure.
Anyone who is using the Motorola T325 with the Evo 4g. I have paired my phone with it and calls are nice and clear but from my understanding it's supposed to play my music from my phone as well via bluetooth. Maybe i heard wrong or something but is there anyone who can confirm or shed some light on this matter?
