Sep 13, 2010I used to have swype a long time ago and really miss it anybody know where i can get a copy? i tried downloading one but it's expired. I tried registering for a download at the swype website but i never got an email offering me it. Just in case i can't get it, are there any other good alternatives? I remember there being quite a few good ones in the marketplace but i can't find them anymore.

Apr 2, 2010I recently complained about keyboard lag on the latest leaked version of 2.1. I remember loving the Swype beta on 1.5 and decided to go ahead and re-download the installer. Everything installed nicely and i switched my input method to Swype. To my dismay, after swyping my first word, Swype displayed a pop up saying that "this swype package you installed is not configured for this device" and then refused to register any of my swyped words. This Eris keyboard business is now REALLY starting to piss me off. Before I break something, does anyone know how to get Swype Beta to work on this new leak? I, and my many fragile possessions, would be eternally grateful.

Mar 31, 2010Ok! Just a little confused here. Does Swype Lite not work with 2.1 ver.2 leak. I've followed everyones instructions and can even go through the Swype tutorial but the choice of keyboards doesn't show up when I try to send a text or e-mail. All I get is the stock keyboard. Am I doing something seriously wrong here? This is somewhat fustrating because I prefer Swype by leaps and bounds. I'd buy it from the market but it's not available. I know some will send me to other posts with instructions, but I have tried them ALL. I just can't get it to work. Any suggestions?

Apr 19, 2010Has anyone downloaded the swype and seem like your phone runs extremely slow when it is running. When i have the swype app running then my phone is very slow, meaning when i just hit the home bottom takes five seconds to get there with all icons showing. I return to using the stock keyboard and the lag is gone. Anyone else getting this?

Now when I try to turn swype back on its checked on the settings, but all the keyboards are the Android style ones. Sep 15, 2010I need to go to the Verizon store to have them transfer contacts from my old work phone to my Droid. Is it going to write over the numbers I already have in my phone? My second question is my Droid is rooted with BB 0.4, is that going to be an issue when I go into the Verizon store? I'm not sure they would notice its rooted since they shouldn't go into any settings but maybe someone else knows more.

I've only gotten it to work once and I have no idea how I did it...When the headphones are plugged in I can hear the caller but they can't hear me, but once I unplug the headphones the normal mic input on the phone works correctly and the caller can hear me just fine. Are there settings that I need to adjust in order for the iphone headphones to work with DX?
