My widget says max is 600 no matter what i set it at inside the application. when I go in and, say, set it to 800 it will stay there and then when i back out the widget will say 600 max still. Is this a widget error or am I doing something wrong in trying to set my processing speeds?

I've noticed that lately, my download speeds on my rooted Droid (running BB 0.5 most recently, though this "problem" occurred with BB 0.4 and LFY 1.6 as well) have not been stellar, though my upload speeds seem fine:
Could this be caused by the baseband? Im running C_01.43.01P. Prior to that, I was running (I think) 3E, which came with the phone, and worked fine with BB 0.4 but when the updated one came out I updated it since, hey, it's newer right? Anyway, (1) is this certainly the problem? and (2) if I choose to, how can I safely roll back to the 3E baseband?
I saw this topic and implement IntentService as describes, but what if I want more that one button? How can I distinguish button from each other?
I'm trying to setFlags, but cannot read it at onHandleIntent() method code...
At this little piece of code I have two PendingIntent linked with setOnClickPendingIntent, can I distinguish this intent for different actions and processing?
Is there anyway to set the calendar widget up so that it shows more than events that are going to happen within the week? for ex. I have an orientation for school on august 18th, but it doesn't show up on my calendar widget because its more than a week away.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI can access my AOL, Comcast and obviously Gmail with no problems on my Droid. However I want to be able to access my companies email I have set up through powweb.com (they host my website). Anyway I keep getting error messages that it could not finish set up or sometimes it says Error: check user and password details. I triple checked and made sure I was putting in the right info and then I even went on the powweb website and made sure I was putting in the correct settings and even contacted someone there and they gave me some info to try and help and I am still getting error messages. I have tried POP and IMAP. The exchange account, is a fee based account.
View 3 Replies View RelatedNow that the OTA is coming, I'm guessing a lot of us will do a factory reset after update to Froyo. I'm wondering if someone can give some tips regarding what to do before and after the factory reset, including but not limited to the following:
0. how to do a factory reset?
1. to reinstall apps (is appbrain the best way?).
2. to keep personal/contact info (will Google contact sync keep everything on the phone?).
3. to keep desktop/widget setup (e.g. LLP backup and restore tips).
4. any Droid X specific quirk?
Is it possible to set the location of the widgets so that they are in different spots depending on whether you are in landscape mode or not?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have been happily using Weather & Toggle widget since getting my Droid a few months ago. All of a sudden though it will not refresh the weather or forecast. This is true even if I do a forced refresh. I have also tried removing the clock/weather widget from my screen and re-adding it. No luck. It remains stuck on yesterday's high of 80 degrees and sunny. Considering its cloudy about about 65 today this is clearly wrong. It was showing 80/sunny at 5am this morning when it was still dark!
Also, in the 4 day forecast section you get by tapping the weather portion of the widget, it starts with Tuesday. It should start with today, Wednesday. This is by far my favorite app/widget so far but its completely useless if it remains stuck like this.
My android app was running ok under Eclipse, then I tried to add some GridView sample code from some online examples and now it will not build/run anymore.

Attempt to include a core VM class in something other than a core library.
I have never put anything to do with 'SocketFactory' in any of my code. I searched all of my code and can't find any code that I did that contains the SocketFactory.class.
I deleted my xml's and classes that I was working on that had to do with the GridView and reverted back to the code I had before, when it was running - but now I continue to get the above error. I even try to use 'Clean' but the error continues. Does anyone know what I should do about this error?
everything i wanted is to have my phone overclocked on 1,5GHz and now its stuck on loading screen after doing it with odin? it worked before on Omni ROM and everything and all those things i had the damn backup on phone

View 5 Replies View RelatedSo I downloaded Linpack for Android and have been clocking between 7 and 8 Mflops for the last couple of days. I've got a Droid, running UltimateDroid 10, clocked at 1.0GHz, but I'm not getting anywhere near the guys that are getting up to 25 or even 52 Mflops.
I'm not greedy and I realize these are high extremes, but how do I start approaching these speeds?

I'm running ultimated droid right now with SetCPU and my question to you all is, how do you get it even higher. In the video I followed (the 1 in the sticky), he installs everything and when installing the ROM, has an option to install a 1.25 ghz ROM. Given, he wasn't installing ultimate droid but when I "crank it up," my max is 1 GHz. Is this because of the ROM or am I missing something?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI unplugged my phone from the wall charger at 6:30 am this morning. It is now 1:00pm and my battery is at 20%!!! It says that the display has used 33% and the android system has used 24%. For some reason it says that the calendar has used 14%, and I barely looked at it today. I installed bugless beast 7.5 last night, set the overclock to 800, and charged it up. Today, when my battery dipped to 40%, I went to setCPU and set the speed back down to 550. Still, now it's at 20%.

Question: Does the installation of Cyanogen include everything I need to OC? I have downloaded setCPU 1.5a but that is all. Havent installed it or anything. I'm pretty confused on the whole kernel topic and what needs to be done for me to get my droid up to 800mhz.
