I went back to stock 2.01 using DM Updates (I'm lazy) and now I have two problems:
1) I'm missing the Market app
2) I'm not receiving OTA updates (says system is up to date) Anyway to keep going without wiping?

If I wanted to go back to my stock OS, is just flashing an OTA update all I need? I am fine jumping from ROM to ROM right now, but I was thinking what if I wanted to back to stock. What would I do.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter reading that 2.1 is "supposed" to drop this week, I have a rooted droid running Beast 7.4 which has the OTA disabled. Is there a way to get the phone back to being able to receive the update without wiping all my text/e-mail/call logs/pics? I'm guessing it would require moving to a different ROM or just back to the original 2.0.1 update...but I'm not clear how to do it. If anyone can post a link or explain it in non-Linux lingo, I would greatly appreciate it! I just don't want to have to revert back to the original 2.0.1 and lose everything...don't care about the apps because I can just re-install those.

And now I am trying to sell my droid on ebay (if anyone is interested let me know!), but whenever I used RomManager to revert back to stock image. I get an error and it fails. I have already ported my number over to my incredible, so I can only use wifi. So what other way is there to go back to stock so I can wipe the device and sell it. Or is there some other way that I am not thinking of? Something on the phone, like stock image I can flash through clockwork recovery and be done? (if so anyone have a link?)

View 4 Replies View RelatedEveryone is always so concerned about unrooting, removing su, removing busybox, etc., and so-forth. Well, finally an extremely simply solution. Almost too simple. Go to the Market and install SholesMod Updater. Sure it's $5, but it does it all for ya. Just install the application like any other, then open it. Select "Stock 2.0.1 (No root)" and let it do it's thing. And no one is the wiser. Hope this puts some minds at ease.

View 1 Replies View RelatedThat goes without saying but it appears that it flashes the bootloader so I would hold off on doing it if you like root.It could mean that we cant flash sbfs anymore, it could mean that we get a locked down bootloader and it could mean nothing,I am getting this from looking in the file and could be completely wrong though.

I'm selling it off to offset cost. It's already deactivated, I've been trying to use the Rom Manager to download a stock image but it keeps failing, apparently it doesn't want to use Wifi (tried in airplane mode too). Even then the version it downloads is rooted. I'd like to reset/wipe the phone down to 2.1 or 2.0.1 and a way to make sure OTA will work when it gets activated. How can I do this?

I'm gonna miss this thing. But hopefully, with warranty, I'll have a brand new one in my pocket by this evening. What's funny about it is, I'm planning on getting the Droid x when it comes out. Issue being that the phone is not retrieving emails (IMAP) from my servers? I have it set to five minutes and I have to manually get them. Does anyone know when there will be an update to fix this issue?
Also one other questions, when updates come out for this phone, are they automatically installed, or do I need to login in somewhere to download?
