Apr 29, 2013Using Android, is it possible to automatically make your phone initiate a screen gesture (like a swipe across the screen) whenever you hit the power button, then proceed to turn off the phone? I know it's a very weird question, but I have my reasons.
I imagine it's possible with some type of app like Tasker, but I don't know if Tasker can initiate screen movements that imitate a finger moving across the screen in a point and direction of your choice.

Jul 25, 2010I am new to this rooting stuff. I am running 2.2, froyo and Launcher Pro. When I power off (don't do often) the phone comes back up really slow. I tried the default Launcher and it does the same thing so I am thinking it probably is not Launcher Pro (although it could be doing something in the background) I noticed that my clock speed, which was set to 900 is down to 250 when the phone boots back up which is probably why it is powering up so slow. Is there anything I can do to have it keep the 900 setting so that it boots back up faster? Is it the clock widget possibly? Be gentle, I am tech challenged.

Sep 13, 2010I have a Question, I had liquid froyo 1.6 on my phone with one of the available themes, compared to bb0.4 it used a lot more of the battery.Yes I had the same apps on the phone with the same widgets and using the phone in the same areas as I normally do. Also used it less than I have with bb 0.4. I went from 100% down to 90% in about 15 min. just using a IM Program. Do these phones have more drain with a theme installed. I know that blackberry's suffered from this problem.

I've been searching for a bit now but all I can find is the 2.2 leak. that's not all there is right? Oct 15, 2010I am newly rooted on DX. World fine with titanium backup. Started to use rom manager. Best I can tell from other posts I should backup up my current default froyo rom. I updated the clockwork and then when I push to backup current rom, the phone restarts but does nothing more. Is that all it should do? Seems like it should show backup occurring. Oct 3, 2010Im sending in my droid to verizon since my power button was not working and they sent me a replacement. Before I sent it in I wanted to remove root so I went into rom manager and chose a stock image to flash hoping it would do the job. Unfortunately, after I did it Superuser permission is still there. I would just use RSD Lite but since I cant get my phone to access the boot loader screen I cant get RSD Lite to recognize my phone. I was going to try to flash the older stock image from rom manager thinking maybe that would work but now when I try and flash any rom through rom manager I get this message; "an error occurred while attempting to run privileged commands". I also read that maybe quick boot would do the trick but it just force closes every time, making me think that maybe the phone isnt rooted but just has superuser permission listed(is that possible)? Is my phone still rooted?

Feb 28, 2010I've had my droid for about a week now and about two days ago the power button stopped working and is now completly unresponsive.I can't power off the phone without taking out the battery. Good thing that sliding the keyboard out wakes the screen so I can unlock it.I was just wondering if anyone has heard of this problem or is it possible this is just a defect and I should get a replacement also I have tried doing the factory reset to see if it was some app I may have installed causing the problem but its still not working.

Nov 19, 2009I turn my droid off overnight, and the next morning it is completely dead. I turned it off with 50% battery left on it. Anyone else seeing their battery dead the next morning if they turn it off ?Thinking I have a bad battery here. Didn't do this when I first got it.
