I tried to change the font on Froyo manually with rootexplorer as i have in the past with other builds/roms but it caused boot loop. Has anyone been able to do this and if so how?

What's the best to change the font on a rooted Droid? I haven't used MetaMorph much, but it was my understanding that it could change the font. I've also read about just replacing the files with root explorer? I'm just picky about my fonts, and would like to be able to get a font I like on some different ROMs.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've been messing around with metamorph, and thank the members here for pointing me in the right direction to find the themes I am currently running the I.C.E. theme by tdawg. Everything applied correctly on top of Sholes 2.0.5, without messing up any performance tweaks. Only thing that did NOT apply(no surprise) is the font in the screenshots. I'd like to have this font- it is the same in the Droidinator theme and a few others I have seen screenshots of. So my question is.. where to I find this font, and how do I apply it(Hopefully through a terminal emulator since that is all I have set up so far)?

View 3 Replies View RelatedThis is my first post. I've had a Moto Droid since day one, and I just love it. It is without a doubt better than any phone that I've had over the years, and that includes the iPhone, BB, etc.
However, there are 2 things that I don't understand - Font size and a spell checker. It is imposiible to read the small font size in emails or text messages.
1. Why has there not been an app to either change the font size or be able to zoom in? Picasy has incorporated multi-touch for zooming, so I've to assume that its doable! Why not have the same in an email client.
2. Why is there not an email client out there that allows for spell checking? There are many such apps for the BB! I am a terrible speller.
I am not complaining, I just want to understand the limitations from a developers prospective, as I am sure these isuues will eventually be addressed.
I was wondering is there anyway to change the display on the txt messaging like the colors and the txt font.

I've changed the other console's font (cvs, svn, ...) in the preferences, but this window still has same font size. I want this window to be much smaller and put it on the side of my screen, not on the bottom, this way I would have vertically more space in Eclipse.
