Because it seems that mine take quite a while, sometimes up to 2 minutes. Is that normal?
YouTube videos takes longer to load. My browser sometimes doesn't load web pages completely and the speeds are way slower then 3g... Well atleast on my end... I'm in Baltimore and 4g is very much up and running. Not ranting, its just that 4g was one of sprints selling points, jus think it could be a bit better.

It works well on wifi >.
Just got the phone and loving it so far but im having major issue's with You Tube, Most video's take about 5 mins to load in low quality and in high quality it can take upto 30 mins or more which of course by that time the phone locks and the video has to restart again.
Any suggestions as to why it takes so long? Also is there a setting for video's to automatically start in high quality? And for the phone not to lock?
I would like play videos using the Youtube app and to save the video (automaticity)in my phone (Galaxy s 9000),so in the next time I will play the video the file will load from temp (It's will save me bandwidth and time).
View 4 Replies View RelatedIs there anyway to get you tube videos to show up on the whole screen? Just wondering why it only shows the little video when they have this big screen to show it on.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm wondering if this is possible, my phone is telling me it is waiting for a wifi network but there aren't any around me. Are there any settings I can change so I can just use the 3g connection?
View 11 Replies View RelatedI was trying to find a video on YouTube on my Droid that I could easily find on my computer, but I could not get the video to come up in the YouTube search using my Droid. I tried this in the YouTube app and the browser, but I got the same results. For this particular search, my Droid came up with 4 results, and my computer 20 results. I've also done google searches for particular videos, only to get a "video not compatible with YouTube mobile" (or something like that). Are these 2 issues related? Is my search on my Droid only finding mobile-compatible videos?
View 3 Replies View RelatedEver since updating to Froyo, my DX won't play any Youtube videos, it just says "Sorry this video cannot be played" and below that, "There was an error trying to play video". Is anyone else having this issue, or does anyone know how to fix it?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have had the droid x for a little over a week, my last phone was the eris. I have yet to be able to play any youtube videos on my phone, whether it be from the youtube widget, a browser window, or a facebook link. It just goes to loading video, and it never loads. Has anyone else had this problem?? I have tried it both with and without using wifi.

from 1:30-6:45 "listening to droid live but probably lost connection half way through the night" 60%-0%
i also have wifi and gps on all the time, settings for brightness is automatic. cpu set 550min to 880max. and have juicy defender free running. also tons of widgets "about 3 screens full of widgets. and lookout defender/set cpu/ nimbuzz/ battery status running in the notification bar. to me it looks like its fine, but what i noticed after really looking at the plot is the battery power drops 10% almost every 30 minutes during heavy use. and a hour between 10% drops and its almost on the dot to.
Does anyone know the aximum upload file size for Droid you tube videos on 3G? I'm going to be in an area with most likely no wifi but I'm pretty sure I should have solid EVDO and I need to upload videos, just wanted to know the maximum file size/length for youtube videos and if there's a way to bypass the limit (I really don't care if I ring up 1.5 gigs of data).

View 3 Replies View RelatedEver since my update I get a message that I the phone cannot play the video. Some play in low quality but when you try high quality it says it can't play it. I just go to the music category and most of the top videos I no longer can view. Did they change something with the update to prevent youtube videos from playing. A very low percentage play.
I'm using the youtube app on the menu.
I figure maybe it's a Flash problem, but I can't seem to play ANY YouTube videos on my Eris. The error I always get is something about the video not being found. This is a new Eris, got it about 2 weeks ago so I am assuming it's got the most current ROM. Does anyone know how I can get YouTube to work while on the cellular network and not WiFi?
View 13 Replies View RelatedFor instance: when I click on a video on cnn.com, the phone goes through the motions of downloading it and then I get a message: This content cannot play on this device.
When I go to the YouTube app and click on any video displayed, the message is Cannot play video. Sorry, this video cannot be played. The videos that I took with my phone and are stored on my SD are playing OK.
Just wondering if it is suppose to take a little while for the app management to display apps
I have a nexus one also and did a quick comparison... both have relatively the same apps ( i keep them as synced as possible)
Now its not really an Apples to Apples Comparison as I have Froyo running on nexus but what made me raise an eyebrow was when the little Loading Indicator doesn't smoothly move while its loading.

With a largely white image on screen, if you tilt the phone to the left, does it take on a pinkish hue? Also, does adding a Shortcut -> Application take insanely long to load every single time? I just want to make sure I'm not the only one experiencing this.
View 4 Replies View RelatedHave tried to download the uninstaller application but after trying it twice for 4 hours each I have given up.Does anyone have any ideas why downloading this app takes so long - it is also the same for the Xpedia flashlight app which I have tried separately. In fact any application seems to take an eternity.
They apps say they are downloading but they are not very large apps so should be there is a flash but after 4 hours I am still waiting.Have tried the switch off/on but still it takes ages - I have full signal (not 3G though) and it doesn't download.
When I'm at home, my WiFi speed is typically almost 3m DOWN and 700k UP. (Lame compared to my speeds at work) While my 3G is typically about HALF of those speeds. But here's where my confusion sets in. When I watch a YouTube video with the stock YouTube app, videos buffer faster and/or play MUCH better when using 3G. I'm wondering if the 3G connection is utilizing some kind of compression that allows this?
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I view videos it takes a very long time to buffer and when it does it gets about 5 seconds worth then has to buffer more. Is there away for it to download it better instead of stopping every few seconds to buffer more. This way it can be smoother. There has to be some way to do it my storm that didnt have no where near as much memory played them better.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI am glad flash is on the Evo but when i go to the mobile site of you tube I would much rather get the better quality through the You Tube app than the mobile htc flash player. Anyway to make it so when I get a link on face book app it wont show on the mobile htc flash player than through you tube app?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI want to get the input/opinions of some other people on this topic. I have a couple of big events coming up that I will be recording with my (soon to have) Evo. Now I know that Qik is gonna be huge when it comes to 2 way video calls, but my question/dilemma is to either use the native Camcorder/Video Camera app and upload them to Youtube, or to use the Qik app and have it stored on the Qik site. From what I've heard and seen, when a video is recorded/streamed to Qik, the quality that results on the Qik site is NOT nearly as good as what you're actually seeing and recording on your screen (compression, whatever, bla bla bla). However, I have seen videos on Youtube from people with EVO's where the quality is a ton better and it looks really good. So, why would anyone want to use the Qik app to take video recordings, when the end result on their website is of less quality as supposed to using the Camcorder/Video Camera app and posting it to Youtube? Is the only benefit for Qik is that people can watch your video being streamed pretty much right then and there (with only a little delay)?
