I think I just got the oldest email in the world. I just received a hotmail email from ebay dated 12/21/1969. I didn't even know ebay was around back then. Funny thing is that it has this date on my Droid but the date and time on the web is correct

Says it can't find it when I try to update).I updated to 2.2 via the rom manager and bootstrap recovery method.any ideas?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am really getting sick of the short battery on my Incredible.As much as I hate the physical buttons on the X,I'm still contemplating moving to the X from the Dinc.I still have about 10 days to decide and I was hoping you guys might be willing to share your use of the phone and how long it is lasting. Yesterday I surfed for about an hour, Pandora for an hour, 20 minutes of phone calls, 5-10 text messages and emails (short ones), and about a dozen photos taken at the lowest res the camera offers (keep 'em small).I played Jewels about an hour total.No GPS, No Wifi for the day.I don't do twitter, facebook, etc. and don't have any apps running that are drains like live wallpapers and other "monitoring" software.I started at about 7:30 and the phone shut off around 6:40 or so -- about 11 hours.This is with the "bump charge" so I started with a completely full battery.
View 49 Replies View RelatedNot sure if this is a common problem, but essentially, in the bundled 'Messages' application for the HTC Legend, the text messages are saved as a thread as standard. But today, for some bizarre reason, when I open a message thread, it opens at the oldest message, whereas before, it would open at the most recent message. I've looked around in the settings, turned my phone on and off, cleared the data, but still can't get it to revert, it's quite annoying to scroll through hundreds of messages to get to the most recent SMS.

Anyways, my DX has been working flawlessly since I got it back on 10/6. Sunday, 10/31, my DX quit syncing just my corporate Exchange 2003 emails, then yesterday it started not sending emails as well and now, this morning, it quit syncing my personal email. Corporate email will sync manually, just not push. I have rebooted several times, pulled the battery several times, and also deleted both my Exchange account and my personal account and re-added both and the problem still persists. I don't have any task killer apps installed and haven't recently added any apps since the issues started. Anyone have an idea what may be causing the lack of push (in and out) on both of my accounts?

Well, i have putted to be notified in 1 hour if i have new emails the problem is the phone didn't check the emails and didn't have the notifications. only if i enter on the "Mail" application i have the new emails.. if i didn't enter, this didn't check the emails. What is the problem?. I have APN droid installed and i have deactivated the 3g 2g gaps. But i have configuration the WIFI to stay connected always.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just pulled the battery to do a reset last night after a lockup and today I'm getting notifications everytime I get a new email. it never used to do this and i figured it was just cause I didn't use the gmail. now I'm thinking that it just might be one of the background tasks that I was always killing. I recently switched to home++ and I didn't use the built in task killer all day. so I guess my question is, does anyone know which background task would control this so I don't kill it? also, is there a place to go in the settings to change the led color for email alerts?

I have added both the sender and the senders domain to the list using Windows Live Mail Beta. These emails are still getting through to my Droid X. First, there are no option on the phone to block emails is there? And secondly, there is not an option to add emails to any junk folder on the phone either that I have found. Anyone else having this problem? I've tried both adding my email accounts through Corporate (for hotmail/msn) and the email option on the phone.

I have a POP, gmail and an exchange account.
I'll also sometimes have POP email keep coming back, sometimes 5+ times, after deleting it every time. It may be 30 minutes later, or hours later.

Have followed all instructions per email server

I got the X synced with my Exchange server just fine. The problem is that I'm not getting a notification whenever I get a new email. I have to go into the Email app to see if anythings come through. I have it set to give me an audible alert and that's not working either. This will be a real deal breaker if I can't get it fixed.

The problem is, it will only alert me to the first email, and if I do not check it, it will not alert me for subsequent emails. While I realize the rationale behind this, I really like how my BB tells me every time I get an email. Anyone have an idea on how to enable this?

I thought great news! However last night ( 3 days later) I could not open a document for the life of me, it keeps stating "fetching from server". My email stays on the server so its not like that original email was deleted. My gmail account opens up the attachment just fine (did a test) so does anyone know why I cannot open an attachment in my Exchange email (corporate app)?
View 15 Replies View RelatedI just got a new Droid a few days ago because I was sick of my Blackberry. I set up my Yahoo email account, but I haven't been getting any notifications. I rebooted it and got a notification a few minutes later, but out of the 10 or so emails I've gotten in that account over the past two days, that's the only notification I've gotten even though I got several emails other than that one after I rebooted. I have it set to check every 30 minutes but half the time when I go to the account, I have to refresh before I see any new emails, even ones that came hours before. I also have it set to show notifications in the status bar and vibrate when notified. What can I do other than rebooting again to get email notifications? Should I look for a Yahoo app rather than using the stock email app? Should I just try to forward it all to my gmail account so it will actually work? I'm completely new to Android, and coming from a Blackberry, this email issue is really bugging me.

Someone sent me an email on Facebook that also showed up in my Inbox for my Comcast email account and I cannot get rid of THAT email! I have gotten and deleted up to 200-300 emails since then from facebook and that stupid email remains in my inbox! When I try to click on and open the troubled email, my stock email on the phone force closes! I cleared the cache, thinking that was part of the problem and that did nothing for me. The email was a notification for an event. I was able to delete it on my facebook account and its not showing up anywhere else but on my phone's email account. Its kinda like it IS deleted but for some weird reason its still showing up.

I have tested both the incoming and outgoing ports and they both pass. What do I have to do to get it to check my incoming mail? If I do a manual "check mail", then it receives it fine.
