On the motorola droid I have the sound and vibration both off for receiving emails into my multiple accounts. I figured, like with my previous blackberry, it would turn the green led light on the upper right corner a red color when a new email arrived, but it does not. is there any way to have it flash it a different color when a new mail arrives?

View 3 Replies View RelatedMine isn't - since yesterday. No mail arrives and a manual sync doesn't help. Have tried resetting the caches (x2) in Applications and it will eventually re-sync (but maybe only on wireless), however new mail still does not arrive. Have powered off, etc. as you would expect. Is anyone else seeing this? I'm based in London using Three. Any ideas how I can kick it back into life?
View 19 Replies View RelatedSometimes it will be 3 hours between when my email arrives in outlook on my pc and when the droid decides to pick it up (even though i press the refesh button for the email on the droid). when it does come in, it records the time the email should have come in. however, sometimes emails will come in within 1-2 minutes of when they hit my outlook box on my pc. my settings are set to recevie new email every 5 minutes.

She has been having a problem where, occasionally, people that she sends text message to tell her that that the message arrives with non alpha/numeric characters and instead are either (a) blank, or (b) filled with special characters and the original message is not sent.
I found a thread that says blank messages may be caused by draft items, but nothing about special characters.
Is there anyway to change the color of the trackball for different notifications? I know when I had my blackberry like red would be text blue would be call. Is there anyway to change it from just flashing white for everything?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI tried to set up my pop3 e-mail on my phone last night and I keep getting a "username or password is incorrect" error message on my incoming email. I am able to send e-mail from the phone.The funny thing is that if I check my email from my PC and empty any e-mail's that are in my inbox, then try to check for new e-mail's with my DroidX (knowing that there are none) I do not get any errors.The errors only occur when there are e-mails in my inbox.Didn't have any problems with this setup with the incredible.

I don't want to forward my mail to gmail nor do I want to switch everything over. I am getting notifications from both so I have to read and delete everything twice. I can't Uninstall either of them. Is there a fix for this? They both access the same account so everything is just doubled.
View 16 Replies View RelatedAll the new features sites said Flash 10 was part of Driod 2.2. 2.2 was pushed to my phone overnight and I installed it. However when I go to the Adobe Flash showcase, it says I don't have flash installed. So I search the market place and do not see flash as a download. Is this just something that will come later? I really don't read up on Driod all the time so I don't know all the news, just a regular user.

Flash Lite installs, but after install I can not connect to the internet (Nothing connects, Skype, market, random app, browser.)
So I wanted to know if anyone wanted to do some testing with them, to see if you can get them running on the ROM you are running. Maybe we will be able to make fun of iDevices earlier, because Droid Does what iDont

View 7 Replies View Relatedgot my new droid x today from verizon to replace my old one. have a few questions my old one the buttons where loose was that something to worry about? ive seen a few where they dont wiggle at all and some that do. and second question was the screen for the NEW one i received today has a darker brown/redish hue to it where the old one had a blue close to white hue. and the old one was alot brighter too. what you all think should i not worry about the buttons and keep my old one. or keep the new one where the buttons are tigher and has the brown/redish hue.

Is there an easy way to change Button text color in a theme? I found a theme I like - the one TheOneDude05 modified from the Nexus theme -- but it has white text on light grey buttons.

However, they all share the same name (i.e. the name I gave the account) and color. When I view the calendars at work, they all have a unique name. To Install From The SDCard
Step 1: Now, place your bootanimation.zip on your SDCard root
Step 2: Now, mount file system read/write
mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock3/system
Step 3: Let first backup your current bootanimation.zip
cd/system/media
mv bootanimation.zip bootanimation.bak
Step 4: Now, copy the custom bootanimation.zip to the correct folder
cat/sdcard/bootanimation.zip > botanimation.zip
Step 5: Now, reboot your device.
Also If you have Root Explorer
Step 1: Now, place your bootanimation.zip on your SDCard root
Step 2: Now go to Root Explorer and Once In Root Explorer Go To SDCRAD FOLDER
Step 3: Hold on the file to copy it and Then paste it and System/ media. Just reboot after that.
