I just downloaded the latest version of CM via Rom Manager.I did the usual and when it rebooted into recovery, it keeps saying unable to mount, and then just reboots into android.Any ideas?

I have developed a small application on eclipse (SDK 1.5r1). When I run the project it worked fine. Then I exported the signed application. (Lunar.apk) Then I sent the Lunar.apk file to my friend to install on his machine. when he try to install it manually on the emulator the cmd prompt says

Please help me with this.
I have downloaded the Layar401.apk file from web and trying to install it into my android device [HTC Magic, OS 2.2]. But every time I'm trying to install it its saying -

From other posts I figured out that there might be a missing shared library of google maps api in manifest.xml file. I tried to view the manifest.xml file and it gave me something like following -

But here it says library includes google maps api as well. So I'm not sure why I'm not able to install this apk file.
I just installed android sdk1.5 on a ubuntu 8.04 machine. The IDE is eclipse3.4 with ADT. I created a HelloAndroid project with only the automatically generated code. It compiled successfully and worked on the emulator. But when I tried to install the apk to my G1. It failed with only return code [-12]. I tried anroid 1.1 and android 1.5. The results are the same. But my G1 works fine when the sdk is 1.1. Any idea?

View 6 Replies View Relatedi get this at least once or twice per day since updating the phone to 2.2 via OTA, and sometimes it's more like 5 or 6. it doesn't seem like it's a rampant problem based upon the latest threads here. anyone else have this issue? i figure doing a factory reset is my best bet but just wanted to get some feedback first.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo my beloved Droid is finally starting to show her age. Part of the touch screen has failed on the very right side of the screen as can be seen here:
The phone is still fully functional other than this and appears to be one of the better units out there (runs perfectly stably with 1.2ghz ulv kernels, gets great battery life and has a bubbly keyboard).
Having this portion of the touch screen go out does cause a few major problems though:
-Search hardware button no longer works
-Can't use notification blind in landscape view
-Can't hit backspace on portrait on-screen keyboard
-Many software buttons (like the ones in maps) can't be used in portrait
I have already visited my local VZW store and was assured they have replacement Droid 1s in stock.
I have been trying to send ussd request for balance check and sms bundle but the call disconnects when I do. This problem is really getting annoying I have been trying to fix it but can't do it. I have master rested my phone twice but the problem remains my Android version is 2.2.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI purchased an Incredible, which I was not too happy with, so I decided to send it back and reactivate my Eris. My Eris was at 2.1v2 at the time. I called Verizon and had them do the switch through their customer service number.
Immediately I began to notice that I had a lack of 3G. My Turn Mobile On setting would be stuck on "Turning On". I could force it by switching airplane on and off and then using the power button to choose Mobile settings. Once I'd get it on, 3G would be spotty and drop in and out, and when I do have it it is ridiculously slow. Speed test shows downloads of 302 kbps and uploads of 1023 so it appears I have upload 3G but not download. Many times throughout the day I get data connection failures on apps requiring internet.
So, I called Verizon, we went through all their steps including escalation to tech support and they decide it is my Eris (which worked perfectly previously). They are sending me a replacement. In the interim, I went back to the Incredible. And immediately had the exact same problem on the Incredible. I called Verizon, and went through all their steps, and now they want to send me a new Incredible. I went back to the Eris, and upgraded to 2.1v3, still the same problem. I am 100% confident that when I get the replacement Eris it will solve nothing. APNs are at correct default.
Since i upgraded to 2.1 the other day, everytime i try to send a pic message it gives me Message not sent, Generic network failure. I thought at first that it may be due to my signal but its not.

I've loaded up my sdcard with .zip files of a few ROMs I'd like to try, go through the whole process of loading up a new ROM, and every single time the phone boots back into the stock ROM. I've had some success with loading up the given ROMs in ROM Manager- but I'm trying to install Smoked Glass 8 or Ultimate Droid, and those are not working.

I go to "advanced nandroid restore" then "choose backup" and i choose the smoked glass rom then the phone says: "nandroid exited with status 25." and if i try to use the backup rom i made it says "nandroid exited with status 21". any ideas? ive tried several times today with same results.

My only question is is how do you install SPRecovery? When rooting the Eris you would install the Recovery Image right after rooting. Also: I dont remember if this rom is deodoxed or not. If not, is it safe to put 928 Blackglass on the phone with this ROM?
Is the market app the only was to install applications? The reason I ask is because I went to Android Market and was reference to BooRah but I could not find it within the market application.

I followed the sticky to the letter and rooted. I downloaded/paid for Setpcu and Temp Monitor.
I want to install one of the custom ROM's, but need help with two things. First, which one is best/most stable? Secondly, I need a ROM installation for Dummies, sort of like the sticky above.
I rooted my phone yesterday and everything went pretty smooth. Did a simple nandroid backup too. Installed setcpu and both version of rom manager. Here is the problem. everythime I try to run clockworkmod manager I get this error "An error occured while attempting to run privileged commands" I did download a cyanogen rom but nothing. Can't reboot in recovery either.
When I go to setcpu in in read only mode and can't change anything. it says "no root access detected are application have permissions?"
Ans last, When I open superuser permissions, Screen is black and can't see nothing. is this normal?

I am trying to install 2.2 over my rooted 2.1 using clockwork recovery and the linked file from the original 2.2 rooted thread. Everytime I try, I get to verifying current system, then I get assert failed... apply_patch_check("/system/app/AdService.apk", then a bunch of other numbers, then E: Error in /sdcard/droidx_rooted_froyo.zip (status 7), Installation aborted.
I have tried everything I can think of. I have unrooted and tried to install the straight up 2.2 leak file through recovery mode, and get the same error.
I have reinstalled adservice.apk, still get the same error.
