What is the easiest way to add email addresses in K9 mail? Do I manually need to enter each email address in my contacts list or is there a way to copy my contacts from my PC or MAC?

I must be overlooking something.I am simply trying to get my phone to keep contacts synced with Google Contacts and I don't want "All" contacts just "My Contacts".Every time I send an email in Gmail, it automatically adds it to all contacts.It is going to bloat my phone.

However she now needs to return the phone for service (silent call bug) and she went to G mail to ensure all her contacts was backed up... they are not. It seems the contacts are stored on her phone (Eris) and not in g mail. How can we import all of her contacts from the phone memory into G mail?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI need to copy the contacts stored in my Milestone to the Sim Card. The phone settings do not seem to allow this which is bizarre given that this function is standard in almost all phones I've had before. I downloaded an app from Android called "Copy to SIM Card". When I tried to copy the contacts it just said "failed SIM locked or full". As far as I know the SIM is neither locked nor full (in fact it is empty!) so I guess the App just doesn't work.
Does anyone have any advice / ideas on how to complete this very basis task? The reason I need it is to try to syncs my Milestone with my Audi car blue tooth system which currently refuses to recognize the contacts on my phone. If anyone has had similar issues with comparability between Audi blue tooth and the Milestone I like to hear from you.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have 2 gmail accounts. Unfortunately, one of them is for my calendar and contacts and the other is for my personal e-mail. As of now, my cal and contacts are syncing fine but I do not use the e-mail account that is associated with thier username. I have my other account (personal e-mail) set up sepeartely....along with a few other e-mail accounts(work and etc.). I would like to know if i can leave my cal and contacts setup on the regular droid sync account but change the e-mail account to my personal acct. so it will "push" by default with out having it in a seperate palce on the droid. I know this is confusing but i dont know how else to explian it.

I would like to copy my contacts (and some vids/pics) to my computer for editing purposes, reset the phone, and load the contacts back on.
I tried to set up my pop3 e-mail on my phone last night and I keep getting a "username or password is incorrect" error message on my incoming email. I am able to send e-mail from the phone.The funny thing is that if I check my email from my PC and empty any e-mail's that are in my inbox, then try to check for new e-mail's with my DroidX (knowing that there are none) I do not get any errors.The errors only occur when there are e-mails in my inbox.Didn't have any problems with this setup with the incredible.
View 2 Replies View Relatedso I just convinced my boss that we should switch from our costly Ms exchange solution to google apps, as it can do all the same stuff we need and more. We all have Android phones and I have set up my HTC Desire (Android 2.2 sense UI) to sync with my google apps account, no problem.However my boss have the Motorola Milestone, and his android version just won�t sync with his google account. Every time I try adding a google account with his mail address (name@ourdomain.dk), I just get a �no network connection� error. But I can browse internet and youtube just fine.I have searched the forums, and it seems other people can add their google apps accounts just fine, while some have problems.

I don't want to forward my mail to gmail nor do I want to switch everything over. I am getting notifications from both so I have to read and delete everything twice. I can't Uninstall either of them. Is there a fix for this? They both access the same account so everything is just doubled.

Want to temporarily use an old phone - Desire and music festival is not a good mix - and can't seem to be able to find how to copy all my contacts to my SIM. Can export then to and from SD and from SIM but not to SIM. Currently no contacts shown as being on SIM so assume it does not auto save to it Running unmolested Android 2.1.

View 2 Replies View RelatedBecause I have to send my Samsung Galaxy I7500 back to Samsung (the audio plug is broken and does not detect disconnecting the headphone) I try to get my contacts back to my Sim-card. This is so I can use my good old Nokia 6200 again. Now since there are no options in the standard software, I downloaded this app. Contacts 2 Sim. It has a function for copying contacts and this SEEMS to work (it gives me a message saying it copied 192 contacts). BUT... When I put my Sim-card over to the other phone nothing has changed. Also when I, switch my Samsung off and on again (after copying to SIM) the contacts are already gone from the Sim again. Is my SIM locked or something? It is a bit annoying so if someone could help me out it would be great.
View 7 Replies View RelatedMy Desire needs to go back for repair and i need to copy my contacts on to my Sim card so i can use the Sim in another phone. i have tried a few apps but they all keep telling me the Sim card is either full or locked (its got no contacts on it. Does anyone know of a free way to do this, i have found a program but it was about �20, don't really want to spend that if i can help it.

I've put the old Sim card in the hero, but can see no way of copying the info off the Sim. I synced the hero with the old card in it to my pc. Will this have copied the info over, and do I just sync the phone again to have the info copied over. I notice that all my g mail contacts are on the new phone. I assume using g mail on it has just carried it over, but no phone numbers. Any advice on best way to do this, much appreciated.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm upgrading from my Droid 1 to the Droid X tomorrow and would like to start my use of the DX with it's new 32gb card in place of my old 16gb card from my Droid 1 but need to know if there's anything required to copy from my droid 1 16gb card to my new DX 32 gb card that would be required or helpful in the DX use.I will obviously transfer music/vids/pics but are there any essential files, apps, etc. that are needed.Or is it a good idea to use my paid MyBackupPro to copy the old Droid 1 apps/data for use in the DX larger memory card or is this not copatible to perform between the 2 devices?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI seem to be having a sync issue with my Droid.When I add a contact to my phone, it doesn't sync into "My contacts" in Gmail; it'll sync into "All contacts". So, a couple of questions:
1) How can I get the phone to add new contacts created on my Droid into "My contacts" in Gmail?
2) I'm trying to understand the point of "All contacts". Why does Gmail want to keep a list of anyone that I've ever sent an email to? Otherwise, it'll be simple enough to just merge the two groups and call it a day.(Note: When I bought my Droid I did NOT have the VZW sales person transfer my contacts or any data from my old Blackberry to my Droid. I used Google Sync on my BB and synced my contacts from my BB to Gmail, then when I got the Droid, it automatically pulled my contacts from Gmail.)(FWIW, yes, I did a search and found two great threads: http://androidforums.com/support-troubleshooting/15042-how-do-i-push-droid-contacts-back-gmails-my-contacts.html and http://androidforums.com/motorola-droid/15069-contacts-dont-really-synchronize.html but I have a different situation than most of those guys and I'd actually prefer to sift through and merge a couple of contacts from "All contacts" to "My contacts" every once in a while than deal with a backup and factory reset.)

I try long pressing the number, but no luck. Any tips on how to do this?

Also is there a file structure in place where you *must* put specific file types? (I have the pdf manual, and want to copy it as well to the DX... I'm not sure where it goes though, or how to move the file over.)
Is there a faq here on the best methods and file folder locations specific to the DX?
